The food was really really good, I got the fried chicken, the crab cakes and we got the chocolate cake. They were all gluten free and delicious. The building though was so old, and it smelled awful, was very dusty and was a bit hard to breath because it was so musky. I’ve been to some restaurants that were in older buildings and none of them have been like that. Then our service was really bad also. So food-5 stars, atmosphere-1 star service-1 star. There is outdoor seating so maybe it’s worth it to sit outside and eat in the fresh air. They had a ton of gluten free options though.
Omg, I wish I had discovered this place sooner! I can’t eat gluten or dairy and this place was such a find for my restricted diet! As well as a great find for people with regular diets! I had a savory and sweet crepe and both were perfection!
Ate here for lunch with my husband and son. The food was delicious and service was superb as always. The second we sat down the service was ready to help me get something started for my son who was clearly hangry and on the verge of a toddler meltdown. She was knowledgeable about the menu and navigated his dairy allergy like a champion. He had the kids burger and seemed to enjoy it. I had the steak salad and it was DELICIOUS(made gluten free and Celiac safe). My husband got himself a burger and also said it was great(he is picky about his burgers and said it was cooked perfectly and he didn't have to scrape any condiments off like usual)
A little loud, but phenomenal spot. Tons of gluten free options. Fast service and extremely affordable. The app to order makes splitting checks way less awkward. I recommend if you are ordering for you and your partner, sit next to them if you are in a group. It makes it way easier to know what’s yours.
Both the reviews online and their online menu state that they have gluten free noodles. However, when I called and spoke to the restaurant, they confirmed that they do not. Disappointing.
Love stopping in here for quick lunches. Fast and friendly customer service. They are generous with sauces and toppings and love that they have Gluten friendly crust options as well as a cauliflower crust.
“Market Rate” fish got me! Always ask what the price is if the menu said “Market Rate!” $30 surprise bill for a gluten free entree! And the fish was maybe 4 oz, 2 stalks of asparagus and a lump of mashed potatoes. Yes it was delicious but far from worth $30! Left me feeling ripped off.
Met up with a friend here since it was a mid-way point between DC and Manassas and she needed gluten free options. Hadn't been here since pre-COVID, but it is still awesome! Service was great, food options are plentiful, and all the dog-named menu items are always fun. Melted Brie on sandwiches are sooo good. And my friend said the GF crust on her pizza was the best she's had. (BTW, if we could get a Prince William County location that would be GREAT)
4 stars because before I became gluten free for health reasons, tony’s was my favorite pizza place. unfortunately it was the worst gluten free pizza i’ve ever had. the crust was crumbly and chewy, not crispy and fresh like their regular pizza crust. I couldn’t even get through 2 pieces. it was not good, please consider trying a new gf crust.
Thank you so much for the amazing food at our end of year teacher luncheon last week.
Truly, something for everyone! Our school staff is a mix of carnivores, vegetarians, vegans, gluten intolerant, and picky eaters ( that's me!) So many of us went back for seconds.
I am planning on coming to your restaurant with my husband soon.
The four stars for atmosphere, is ONLY because our luncheon was held in OUR elemtary school cafeteria.
The food was good but my daughter is very sensitive to gluten and we emphasized to keep it gluten free because of her allergies. We ordered panang curry and pad see ew which say they are gluten free, however, after eating my daughter's stomach started hurting. I think there may have been some sort of cross-contamination. I hope that this problem can be avoided in the future because when someone says something is gluten free that means there shouldn't be any gluten.
I’d always swing by this CAVA when I’m in the area but today was the last day I’ll ever go to this location.
I have celiac disease. To put it into simple words I CANNOT have gluten and my food cannot be contaminated with the slightest crumb of gluten or it leaves me very sick for up to two weeks.
I asked the woman who was making my order to please change her gloves before making my order since they’ve been contaminated by gluten (pita bread, pita chips, etc.), she gladly did so.
I got my food and was on my way. I then open my bowl and find a pita chip in my bowl, so I turn back around to go back to CAVA and get it replaced.
Long story short she was arguing with me saying it’s just a small piece and didn’t understand what the issue was. I tried to make her understand what my disease is and how cross contamination makes me sick but she took it as me being stuck up. She finally said she’d remake it, mumbled something in Spanish in an angry tone to her coworker, and handed it back to me with an upset face like I inconvenienced her.
Staff needs to be educated on what celiac disease is because feeling like a burden on staff for their own mistakes isn’t what should be happening. Training on allergies and cross-contamination should be done so as well to avoid this.
This is very upsetting.

In its "glory days" it was ranked in 2017 & 2020 as the "Best Food Allergy Champion" for their extensive allergy menus and their preparation for making food safely. These are proudly listed on their website too. In fact it used to be a safe go-to place for me as GD had many Gluten Free options. I could even get loaded fries that were safe! Due to the change in ownership the company as a whole has gotten rid of the dedicated fryers and significantly reduced the GF menu. Big bummer and crumby of the company to disregard so many of their customers. I've had several worsening experiences but this takes the cake. The grilled wings continuously come out charred and inedible. Spending $53 and 19 out of my 24 wings ordered were charred to a crisp...
Very upset I ordered the scrambled egg bowl with grilled chicken for breakfast. Since I am gluten free and it is the only item I order for breakfast every time at this location. However when I ordered it this time the eggs were NOT scrambled and were just egg whites! I tried to tell the employee but she said that’s how they always make it when I know that was a lie because I order it 3 times a week. The employee was rude and handled the situation extremely poorly by making up excuses that were not true.
I have visited this California Pizza location in Fairfax Corner several times, especially when my nephews come to town, and we always have a good time. Their pizzas are consistently delicious and less salty than other pizza restaurants. They also have healthier options like gluten-free pizzas and tasty salads. This makes it more appealing to go back and try. The service is decent, and the servers are friendly. The place is well-maintained and clean. Although parking is free, finding a spot on weekends can be challenging since Fairfax Corner is a popular hangout spot.
Good food all around. Affordable drinks
Excellent Tandoori chicken and they have very good masala chai. Also a great place for vegetarians and people with a gluten allergy!
The bhaigan bharta was the best our vegetarian friend has had in the area. They also have a gluten allergy and raved about the makki roti (corn roti) which surrounding Indian restaurants simply don't offer.
Beautiful location - probably the fanciest looking Indian restaurant in Fairfax. The kind of place that can host parties. There is also an individual room for special occasions that I believe can be reserved.
Yadav provided excellent service - thank you!
Enjoy
In my opinion, this coffee shop has the same flaws as any other, yet the proprietor appears to be always working to improve the consumers' experience. As I found on my last visit, this coffee establishment serves lactose-free milk and gluten-free goods. The baristas are courteous and accommodating; I saw someone swapping their beverages for free, and the barista handled the situation without issue!!!!
Simple American cuisine that's not too expensive. Burgers, ribs, steaks, etc. My girlfriend has celiac disease and they've always been very accommodating. They'll give you a gluten-free menu if you request it.
The best burgers I've ever had! I'm gluten free so I was so excited to eat a burger on a bun! The service was a bit slow, but we were a large group so I can't hold this against them. The young man who waited on us was delightful. He checked on us numerous times between waiting on other customers and cleaning tables. The music was a bit loud for my taste, but I'm sure it suits a younger clientele. During our short stay in Fairfax we went back a second time, which says a lot. Overall, it is a bit pricey but a super great burger!
Update: I read some reviews mentioning the ordering kiosk. There is one there and you are encouraged to use it, but I was with some older people who wanted to order the old-fashioned way, with a human. 😄 The young man working the floor said he understood and gladly took our orders.
Mother's Day was our second time dining here and our server from the last time remembered us. So thankful for the delicious food and libations here. Eggs in Purgatory is a must. My absolute favorite. It does come with brioche, so if you are gluten sensitive like me, you can give to another in your group or opt out. In love with the sangiovese we had this visit. So good!!
This is by far my favorite Chuy's location. Manager Amin and his team make everyone feel like family, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience. Their gluten-free options are plentiful and delicious, making it a safe haven for my gluten-intolerant wife and kids.
We've been living pretty much across the street from the Fairfax location for over a year and JUST discovered it about two months ago- such a shame! We LOVE Simply Social! The coffee is fantastic, their avocado toast is delicious (they have a great gluten free option!) and Sam is simply wonderful! He's such a delight, always pleasant and helpful- so much so that you can tell he really enjoys his job. We've raved about this place and will continue to as long as their service remains impeccable!
Food is fantastic. My personal Go-To meal when visiting High Side is a starter of Edamame followed with their Gluten Free Popcorn Chicken over rice. They finish the dish with mama picked cucumbers and a sunny side up egg over the top of the chicken and rice. Delish!
Management and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I have Celiac and I was able to drink all the beers safely because they use an enzyme to remove the gluten. Quickly becoming a regular here!
I get Roots at least once a week and it is consistently delicious and service is top notch! I have a few dietary restrictions and it is very gluten free friendly. The key differentiators of Roots to other fast casual restaurants is that they ALWAYS give great portions and the staff is so, so notably friendly! Yesterday, we went an hour before closing and there was definitely enough chicken for my bowl, but it was the last bit. Instead of giving me this, they made a new batch which was so unexpected and nice. I will always come back!
We went to Ocean Paradise tonight for a celebration and loved it! Katie, the waitress, was so incredibly sweet. We had a lot of questions, and she was extremely patient with us and answered all of them! Everyone in our party also really enjoyed their food! I had the lobster pasta (gluten free) - the lobster was one of the best I have had especially in this area. The lobster was so sweet and tender and cooked to perfection! The gluten free pasta was cooked perfectly-which most places do not know how to do! My husband had the Connecticut style lobster roll, and he agreed the lobster was amazing. My daughter had the seafood platter, and she really enjoyed her meal as well. We had key lime pie for desert and loved it! Believe the reviews on this one-I am extremely picky.
Absolutely amazing! I can’t have gluten and they went out of their way to make sure I wasn’t going to have any issues with cross contamination, kept me informed of all of the options available to me, and just generally made it a wonderful experience. The manager is fantastic and I will be going back
Came here with my son and his Grandma after shoe shopping and had an excellent lunch! We checked every ingredient to make sure my son was safe with his dairy allergy. The 2 servers assisting us worked as a team and made the experience seamless. We've eaten here before and I have gotten sick(Celiac) so I was nervous and the server took extra care and even recommended gluten free items with reduced cross contamination risk and helped me order a delicious cheesecake!
We had a party with 30 people with many dietary needs (allergies, celiac, vegetarian) and The Kirby Club was amazing! We had such good food and drink and a great atmosphere. The service was above and beyond. Tariq was great to work with! We would totally use them again for a get together. When you go you must try the vegan date ice cream - it was excellent!
I’m gluten free and almost every item on the menu can be made gluten free and is delicious! Friendly staff, owner greets all diners like an old friend. Love this place
The food was great and the also had gluten free (lettuce wrap for burgers) and vegan alternatives (veggie burgers but no alternative for the custard though). They were extremely fast as well.
I love this place! You won’t be disappointed with anything you order. Corn tortillas are gluten free but warmed on the same grill as the flour tortillas. Ask that they keep the foil under the tortillas while warming them. This helps cut down on the cross contamination.
Guapos truly knows how to tantalize your taste buds with their authentic Mexican cuisine. I ordered the tacos Al pastor, and it was hands down the best I've ever had. Freshly prepared right at our table, it was creamy, flavorful, and simply delicious. Their menu offered a wide range of options, and everything we ordered was bursting with flavor and made with high-quality ingredients. The fajitas were sizzling and flavorful, the enchiladas were rich and savory, and the tacos were packed with mouthwatering goodness. I also appreciated that they had options for various dietary preferences, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices.
The service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They were more than willing to answer our questions and make recommendations, which made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable.
To top it all off, the piña coladas were exceptional!
The combination of excellent food, inviting ambiance, and top-notch service makes this place a gem worth revisiting. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just craving some delicious Mexican cuisine, Guapos is the place to be! I can't wait to return and explore more of their delectable menu. Highly recommended!
In person kiosk and online kiosk in store
Online kiosk lets you put special instructions if necessary.
Staff was very nice - I put on my instructions whilst using the online kiosk to remove any almond products - just in case since I know a lot of granola is made with almond - I have an almond allergy. The kind lady behind the register saw my request and asked me if I'd perfer to switch to a gluten free granola because their regular granola did contain almond.
I was very happy with how kind she was with the switch because of the almond.
Also I might be biased because I LOVE açaí bowls but the bowl I got was absolutely delicious!
I got the nutty açaí bowl
