I had an incredible lunch here yesterday! I was pretty nervous since I haven't had pizza from a restaurant since my Celiac Disease diagnosis 4.5 years ago, but our server John was fantastic. He answered all my questions, double checked things when I asked, and put me totally at ease. He reassured me they take allergens very seriously, including a separate prep area AND a separate oven for GF pizzas! I had a 1/2 pesto margherita and 1/2 chicken bacon ranch pizza, both sides were equally delicious.
Delectable Thai restaurant with tasty fare. Great awareness of different options for customers with allergies, including gluten, dairy, and egg allergies. The only thing I wished for was a bit more zing, acidity, spicy, and overall vivacity in the flavours to make it a tiny tad more authentic. Although the flavours incredibly refined and clean.
We were so grateful this spot was open on thanksgiving due to us traveling. The food was delicious, they had an Indian thanksgiving meal which was pretty unique. They even had gluten free chickpea bread! The building is unique and we enjoyed our experience here.
The food is delicious and flavorful, the staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. There are many delicious Gluten Free options. Would absolutely come back!
Mills Tavern's private dining room was the perfect venue for our wedding reception dinner of 12 guests. Meredith was an absolute pleasure to coordinate with in the months leading up to the big day. She went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and answer our questions. Meredith provided name tags and custom colored napkins that we picked from a swatch. When our rehearsal dinner venue fell through 1.5 weeks before the wedding, Meredith saved the day by securing the same room for us on short notice.
I have celiac disease, and the kitchen staff is very knowledgeable about celiac and has very safe gluten free practices in the kitchen. Meredith was knowledgeable about explaining their allergy protocols to me. I selected my food choices in advance, and the chef ensured that my food would be celiac safe. They even provided a custom charcuterie board for just me.
We were able to bring our own flowers and wedding cake. The room is wheelchair accessible. Our waitress was so friendly and proactive. The food itself was delicious, and when a few of the steaks were served undercooked, the waitress was ON IT to make things right. (I've never had this happen at Mills Tavern before. It must have been a fluke.)
All in all, would highly recommend for a private event!
We went because we'd been there before (before I was gluten free) and it was the tastiest thing around! And now that they have gluten free offerings, we were excited to go again. Sadly, it was the toughest thing I have ever bitten into. When I popped that first piece into my mouth, I thought there was some sort of mistake. It felt like biting a rock! And the meat was so tough. My jaw started to hurt so badly that I couldn't eat many pieces (even if they weren't good, I was hungry). My girlfriend's chicken, not gluten free, was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing! So maybe don't go if you're gluten free haha. Also they forgot to bring us our sodas, and after I reminded the waitress about them, she only gave us one (and still charged us for the two we ordered). They don't show you an itemized receipt before you pay, and after I paid I figured it was too much of a hassle. Not a big issue, but uncool nonetheless.
