It’s great that options for gluten free are being made but as someone who is Celiac and has had their fair share of Gluten Free items, you can find better tasting desserts in middle of no where places like Scranton, PA. I want to be as constructive as possible in this review because it really is great that there are dedicated GF bakeries for those that are intolerant or Celiac, but that’s the only reason why it’s two stars and not one. PRICING I ordered a red velvet and vanilla cupcake and before I could even enjoy my cupcake I was very alarmed when I saw each cupcake rang up as 4 dollars. Again, these are normal sized cupcakes and if anything they are a bit on the smaller size. I understand that this is a niche small business trying to stay afloat but you have to consider that eating gluten free does not mean I have money to waste. Because I have Celiacs, I have no other option but to eat GF but today I decided it would be nice to splurge a little on a cupcake. However, if you are the average person in Miami, you will not be able to justify the cost of a singular cupcake. I’m also going to add on to here that the machine asked automatically for 18%,20%, or 25% tip… for takeout. TASTE Vanilla tasted strongly artificial and not pleasant. Red velvet was bitter and mild in every other flavor and was not well balanced with the cream cheese. Texture was gritty on both, more so on the vanilla. Aftertaste is not pleasant and is a somewhat tarty/sour, acidic, and bitter taste. CONCLUSION Saying you’re gluten free is not an excuse to make a bad menu item. The recipes are not refined and feel like a first attempt at making a gluten free dessert. Especially at the price range, I do not recommend the average person come here as the food will be subpar for what you pay for. Overall, I am disappointed after having read so many excellent reviews. I will continue to search for better GF options in Miami but I will not come here again. Thanks for spending the time to read this.

Seriously this was the best gluten free stuff I have ever had. I’ve recently been diagnosed with celiac and have struggled to find a bread I enjoy. I came here for challah but left with sour dough bread, cookies, a bagel, cake and banana bread. The owner was so sweet and everyone who worked there was so nice. They have samples of everything. I went with my dad who is not gluten free and he loved it all!

As someone highly allergic to dairy it was exciting to hear that this vegan gluten free bakery opened in the area. Unfortunately it was a bit of a let down. For bakery items my family got cupcakes and donuts. The cupcakes were decent, not dense like a usual gluten free cupcake but there was no flavor to the cake. The vanilla one just tasted plain. The strawberry cheesecake donut had a great icing to it but the donut itself was dense and not like a donut at all. The frozen Katz donuts from the grocery store are better. Each pastry was $6 which seems overpriced for a barely mediocre dessert and they are not huge either. We took home the blueberry waffles($12 for a whole waffle which was cut up into 1/4 sections) , they are ok. The flavor tasted like a normal blueberry waffle and the texture was ok. Very average waffle. The mac and cheese ($16 for 2 servings) I got was very off putting. The cheese flavor was good, comparable to follow your heart brand but the noodles were awful, I made sure not to overheat it but somehow they came out very chewy. I want to give this place another go but am hesitant to due to the price point and a poor first impression.

EDIT: Just went again today (6/23/2025) and had a negative experience in the service department. Due to the plexiglass and loud environment they could not hear that I wanted a four, not a six and then acted like it was my fault that I was getting the wrong thing. It was only when I got to the protein selection and they asked "what would you like for your second protein?" that I realized it was not the correct thing as this was only my third time in. At that point the bowl consisted of 2 bases (included in both) and 2 veggies (the four would've just been 1 at this point) and then 1 protein, so basically the four with one extra veggie. Then they put it on me basically pressuring me into getting the larger meal (which I did not finish because it was way too much). Actually just such a negative experience, I'm not sure if I'll be back any time soon. For anyone else thinking of visiting be sure to bring a megaphone to ensure you're loud enough over the loud environment so you don't end up in the same predicament. For anyone wondering, my original review is below--it was 5 stars across the board, but now it's a 2 overall, 2 for service for obvious reasons, and a 2 for the atmosphere because of how loud it was which made it impossible to order and the fact that the air dryers in the bathroom are the worst hand dryers I've ever used--they would only stay on for maybe a second and then immediately turn off, and there were no paper towels as a different option. Original review: Went in for my second visit and it was just as good as the first. The concept is similar to a build your own sandwich or burrito bar, but for bowls featuring many different bases, proteins, toppings, and sauces. They have no gluten in any of their menu items and have pretty clean ingredients including using olive oil for all cooking, antibiotic and hormone free proteins, and no processed sugar unless otherwise indicated.

Fresh Kitchen is hands down the absolute best chain known to man. I started traveling to Orlando 3 years ago for work. I was working with a nutritionist and looking to be able to grab food while working that was both nutritious and decision - all while being gluten intolerant. When I was introduced to Fresh Kitchen, my life was forever changed. When I am in town for work, I eat FK for lunch and dinner EVERYDAY. The food options allow for me to stay within my dietary restrictions without sacrificing flavor....gluten free, hormone free, and they don't use refined sugar. The customer service is always 10/10. I am convinced that the food is so god because their employees always seem happy to serve and work together. Today I had the pleasure of meeting Alanna. She took time to help me find the best options to get the best bang for my buck. I love that when you dine in, someone from the staff will come by to make sure that everything is good. After sitting down, Alanna stopped by our table to say hello and mention that she remembered myself and a coworker from the other day. She thanked us for coming back and offered us some cookies. My only complaint with FK is that it is only in Florida. How am I supposed to convince my boyfriend that we need to pack up our lives in the Midwest to move to Florida so that I am buy a catering order every week to feed us? Suggestions?

Everything is so flavorful and unique from anything else around Jax. I try a new dish or app every time and I’m never disappointed. I love introducing this place to others. We enjoyed dine in with 2 bowls with 6 items and a kids bowls with 3, one base, one veggie, and one protein. Some of our faves are the bases of sweet potato noodles, kale salad, and cauliflower potato mash. Our fav veggies are the grilled broccoli, golden chickpeas with a savory sauce and the awesome sweet potato chunks. My fav protein is the almond baked chicken which is the worlds best version of chicken strips. A few options like salmon are an up charge. Add on include Parmesan cheese, pico de gallo and guacamole. 4 sauces include a great spicy one and a balsamic. Drinks include fountainhead sodas mostly made with sugar and one zero calorie. Three kinds of teas are natural from unsweet to lightly sweetened with honey. Accessible van parking that is free and tight parking. Came in with my husband for his birthday to treat him. The owner is so kind and knowledgeable about everything gluten free. The desserts were absolutely amazing and you genuinely couldn’t even tell they were gluten. Made my husband’s (who is a huge sweet tooth) whole day as we are from a small town with no gluten free options and are both celiac. Super grateful for this bakery and we will definitely be returning.

My second experience with Bolay and it's delicious at this particular location too. Service is great, thank you! The wings could use some work, they need more love and tenderness. If you do decide to get them, let the cooks take their time, don't rush. Either way, not worth $2/wing but the sauces are tasty. Everything we ordered was amazing, the food there always leaves us feeling full but energetic. It’s great being able to have a nice meal without feeling tired or bloated after. Ron provides amazing service and gives the best recommendations. We started with the mussels, they were delicious and the sauce was so good we had to order more of their gluten free bread to soak it up. Their bread tastes delicious and literally melts in your mouth. The spicy watermelon margarita was one of the best alcoholic beverages I’ve ever had, I had planned on doing the wine pairing but the margarita was so good I ended up ordering another instead. Then I tried the French onion soup, it was so fresh and delicious with a great heap of goat cheddar on top. For my main course I had lasagna at Ron’s recommendation. It was phenomenal, it was hard to believe it was gluten free. I did steal a few bites of my fiancée’s carbonara with filet added and it was also delicious. We ended the night with the orange cake, it was the perfect end to the night, so much flavor!

Ripe is our favorite restaurant! The food is always prepared fresh and you can tell they put all the care into sourcing fresh ingredients and preparing everything from scratch--a true "slow food" philosophy and experience (look it up, it's a whole movement countering fast food and hyper processed junk). You feel like you are eating real food, prepared lovingly and with the utmost care. And that is to say nothing of the service! Everyone at ripe is kind, attentive, and always seeking to make every patron's experience the best! Emilio, chef and owner, is always present, tending to every detail of the operation, and interacting with guests! That is to say nothing of their accommodations for allergies! I just demolished one of their cinnamon rolls and, THANKFULLY, had the foresight (and a healthy fear of regret) to order two. This place is an absolute must-order for any GF Disney traveler. They deliver straight to your hotel. The owner is super responsive, friendly, and her customer service is top-notch. My tip? The food here was amazing!! Lots of different options including vegan and vegetarian. Everything is 100% gluten free so it’s very freeing to be able to choose whatever you want. My boyfriend loved the açaí bowls and the sandwiches (even though he’s not gluten free like me)! And I loved my sandwich. I also tried the bread balls (last page of menu) each one of them tastes amazing. It’s the day after and I’m still craving there! They have crayons in case you have kids and the environment is beautiful there.

Place was kind of dirty; staff was rude, food was meh. The woman behind the counter was just awful, she seemed to have an attitude when I asked about the allergen information. I can't have gluten so when I asked her about the gluten free options she scoffed, rolled her eyes, and proceeded to have an attitude as she explained it to me. Her name started with a J I can't remember the full name because as soon as she plopped the noodles in my bowl she went off to the backroom somewhere like she couldn't even be bothered to do her job.

I had not heard of nor tried Bolay Kitchen before this event, so this was my first time here. I live in Pinellas so it was a little bit of drive to get to them but I can honestly say the drive was worth it! I came in during what I would have assumed to be dinner rush time but aside from myself there was only 1 other customer in the restaurant which struck me as odd. I was indecisive as to what to actually order for my first time here but after talking to one of the staff members, I decided to go with his recommendation & ordered the the steak street salad bowl, & I am so glad I did! The steak was cooked perfectly, the chimichurri tomatoes were amazing, & the creamy garlic & herb dressing brought the whole bowl together! I got a chocolate chip cookie which was still soft & sweet, so I knew it was just made today. I also got the berry patch tea to go with it, the tea was nice & refreshing, I got a refill of the tea but switched it up & got the mandarin cardamon tea. That tea was a bit more robust but still delicious & satisfying. The restaurant layout & atmosphere is really nice, I liked learning they are gluten free. I honestly don't know why there weren't more people here, but I will definitely be making the trek back over here again soon!
