I went to "Gluten-Free Rice Field Bakery Komekama" in Shinagawa for the first time. I was interested in the gluten-free rice flour bread specialty store, so I bought a cream cheese cake bread. The chewy texture unique to rice flour is irresistible, and the moist and rich cream cheese is matched exquisitely with the slightly sweet raisins, making it a luxurious taste like a dessert. It's so delicious that you wouldn't believe it's wheat-free, and it's healthy but also very satisfying. There are many other types, so next time I'd like to try other breads such as curry bread. This time I only bought one, so I'd like to try the other ones. The inside of the store was bright and clean, and the staff were polite. I would definitely recommend this store to anyone who is interested in gluten-free, as well as bread lovers!

Two years ago in March, I took my daughter, a second-year university student, for a stroll around Shibuya. We stopped in for lunch. ~We live in southern Kanagawa, and my daughter and I have bronchial allergies... We rarely have a chance to visit Shibuya, which is crowded with young people and foreigners... This was my daughter's third time in her life. I'm 60 years old, hmm, how many years has it been since I last visited?! (laughs) That's the Shibuya area. In front of Hachiko, which is in a different location from before. A long line of foreign tourists lined up. Redevelopment has seen new high-rise buildings rise in front of the station. Recalling the Shibuya I used to walk around when I was about the same age as my daughter (40 years ago💦). I tried to find traces of the past, but although the road structure is the same, the shops and buildings have changed a lot (sweat). Amidst all of that, the atmosphere around Spain Hill, where Bio Cafe is located, has not changed. Phew 😀 Parco, which is nearby (where I spent all of my part-time job pay of 10,000 yen that day, a bitter fate 😭), is also in the same place. Now, the rooftop garden is a secret spot for the night view 🥰 Maybe Biidoro, which is next to Bio Cafe, has been there since back then? I feel like I met up with a friend there to discuss a trip to Bali... 🤔 Memories of such distant youth are scattered like a mosaic in the streets of Shibuya. Hoping to reduce my daughter's allergies, I chose this gluten-free restaurant for lunch. Even though it was vegan food, it was well thought out and delicious👍 The lunch course was 1,880 yen, including salad bar and detox water. We ordered brown rice, fried chicken set, and vegan Mont Blanc. The fact that it was vegan didn't bother us at all, it was just a normal, delicious restaurant✌️ The service and the atmosphere were really not bad. I was a little concerned about the hygiene of the salad bar, so I took one star off. Unlike salad bars in regular restaurants or hotels, there were a lot of spilled food scattered around, perhaps because there were a lot of young customers. It was a little less clean? Tongs were shared, and overall, the area around the salad bar felt a bit messy. (Maybe it depends on the day.) Other than that, the food was delicious, and the location was easy to find and convenient. It's a good restaurant that's healthy but filling. Personally, I was happy that it's located on the nostalgic Spain Hill, right next to Parco, as it reminded me of a lot of the past 😘 On the way home, I told my daughter for the first time about my memories of Shibuya from my time as a university student and employee, as we headed from Koen-dori to the station. ~I would recommend this place for a day of strolling around Shibuya, whether it's for parents and children, friends, couples, or colleagues.

I was recommended to go here but was underwhelmed. I arrived at 9pm after a walking tour and was hurried even though I’m only one person so would eat quickly anyway and the hours showed it was open till 10. It’s just a basic cafe so not that relaxing or inviting. I had the cheese curry as not a lot was actually showing as gf on the menu. It was tasty but it was just curry sauce and rice. Rice is something we have to have when there’s nothing else in Asia so would have ideally avoided a rice dish. Wouldn’t really recommend unless you’re desperate. Seems like there are plenty better places

You should definitely try the cream puffs at this shop! They are superb. The dough is gluten-free and moist, the cream has a rich milk flavor, and the chocolate is not too sweet with a strong cocoa flavor. The custard cream is also delicious. The angel shrimp burger had a soft bun and was very delicious. The exquisite royal milk tea had a sweet cream on top that matched well with the strong black tea. The tea leaves have the distinctive scent of Earl Grey. The rich milk tea was delicious. I heard from people around me that the pancakes, Monti Cristo, and parfaits were also delicious! Please be aware. There’s a barley inside the rice. don't go there if you’re a celiac unless you want to eat only the curry without rice. We went there because it’s a gluten free curry. A staff said that you can eat only the curry without the rice. Because there’s barley inside their rice. So It’s not a gluten-free friendly restaurant 😅 I don’t understand why a. they advertise as a gluten-free curry restaurant if they cook rice with barley. This tells that they don’t know about a celiac disease. b. they can offer a plain white rice

A very popular shop with long lines for its top quality sweets and soup curry. A soup curry restaurant in Shimokitazawa that has long lines even on weekdays. The sweets here are also exquisite, so we also recommend using the cafe. I went with 2 people. Saturday, December 21, 2024 15:40 *Tandoori chicken and charred cabbage cheese curry Kokumaro coconut soup Spiciness 30 (extremely spicy) Topping Natto *Pistachio pudding *Bone-in chicken and 7 types of vegetable curry crispy chicken rich tomato soup Spicy level 6 (very spicy) Topping: burnt cheese *Rich terrine matcha Tandoori chicken and charred cabbage cheese curry Topped with natto and ordered for maximum spiciness. The viscosity of Kokamaro coconut soup is quite high. Is it because of the 30 spiciness? When ordering, the girl at the store said, ``Sa, sa, 30 spicy? ? ” and a manga-like reaction lol The charred cabbage roasted using a burner has an even sweeter flavor. The tandoori chicken is an authentic dish that has been marinated well and has a lot of flavor. Despite the spiciness that dominates everything, the cooking method and basic cooking are exquisite, and each and every ingredient is extremely delicious. I don't know if there is a tandoori oven, but this tandoori chicken has an outstanding taste. The coconut soup and tandoori chicken go well together. It's delicious even though it's so spicy that it melts your brain. Bone-in chicken and 7 types of vegetable curry Your companion orders it. In addition to crispy bone-in chicken, there are lotus roots, pumpkin, carrots, green peppers, broccoli, and potatoes. The soup is a rich tomato soup with a spiciness level of 6. Topped with charred cheese, the fruity sourness of the tomatoes and the deep sweetness of the onions really bring out the sweetness of the other vegetables. The complex spices such as cumin and cinnamon are added, and the secret ingredient, mango chutney, creates a roundness. Deliciousness with concentrated flavor and richness. The chicken is fragrant and has a crispy texture. The meat is perfectly tender and is a very elaborate dish. The large vegetables are cooked to just the right amount of heat and retain their freshness. A dish that shows the high level of cooking technique. pistachio pudding There are various sweets using pistachios, but pudding is quite rare. A pudding with an extremely rich flavor and smooth texture, made with generous amounts of carefully selected Italian pistachio beans. The sourness of the berries accentuates the flavor, and you can eat it in no time. A must-try for pudding lovers. Rich terrine matcha A super popular sweet that can be said to be the store's signature menu. A luxurious terrine made with matcha from Shimokita Tea Garden Daisen, run by the owner who holds the highest tea master qualification in Japan. The contrast between the milkiness of the white chocolate and the bittersweet matcha is wonderful. Add the homemade matcha salt that comes with it for a more mature taste. This is an artistic sweet. It was delicious and I finished it. “202 Curry-do” is a soup curry and sweets shop that will open in December 2021. The owner of the shop, which quickly became popular, is Mr. Hori, who is from Hokkaido. A talented person who trained at a soup curry restaurant for 13 years. The location is on the 2nd floor of Seijo Ishii near the Shimokitazawa West Exit of the Inokashira Line. The interior of the store is decorated with houseplants and dried flowers, creating a modern and calm atmosphere. There are three types of self-serve water: pink mixed berry water, pale yellow lemon water, and regular water. There are two types of curry soups to choose from: rich tomato and dark coconut, and the spiciness ranges from 0 to 30. Rice is usually large, small, or absent. There is also a curry called ``combination curry'' where you can choose your own original toppings, with a rough calculation of more than 1,200 combinations. The curry seemed to have an average level of spice. The best balance of harmony with the flavor of the handmade ingredients. You can also adjust the spiciness quite finely. And the sweets are also top notch. Our homemade soup curry is carefully prepared and pasteurized for each order. Original gluten-free sweets made with artistic and carefully selected ingredients. I am satisfied that LGBTQ people of all ages are supported. Not only for soup curry, but also as a cafe, it's very attractive and you'll want to come back again and again. A restaurant that is totally wonderful in terms of taste, atmosphere, service, attention to detail, facilities, etc. Highly recommended. #Sweets girls #Stylish sweets #Focusing on materials #Women's joy level is high #glutenfree #You can take out #The queue is endless #Relax in a calm atmosphere #Retty popular store #Shimokitazawa

I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free. They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free. However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it. If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.

I stumbled upon this place accidentally, and was pleasantly surprised. I have been eating at all these other Japanese omakase restaurants that were very serious and quiet, so having an experience at a lively and boisterous place was a welcome change! The food was good and service was quick, would definitely come again. I am pescatarian and gluten-free, and I was able to order things I can eat.

Veery yummy vegan+ gluten-free + not sugar (if requested) option in Tokyo. I had the egg crepe, and it was a great balance of chickpeas for the protein, veggies, buckwheat crepe and it came with a little avocado and fermented carrot. A very complete dish. The staff was friendly, the place is nice and I could feel they have high-quality ingredients for a reasonable price. Highly recommend if you are around 🌱✨️
