It exceeded my expectations. I went with some friends, and they served us delicious appetizers (mini gazpacho and falafel). We ordered nachos for a starter, followed by seitan, Russian steaks, moussaka, and risotto for main courses. Everything was delicious. The menu is extensive and has many options. They also offer gluten-free dishes. We didn't get to try the desserts, but I'll be back for them. The waitress was very attentive.

We were there last Thursday and it was truly a discovery! They have a menu in which you can try three starters, you don't have to choose one of them, they bring you a tapa of the three on a wooden board so you can try everything and the containers are cute (they use seasonal products and vary the starters). For the main course they have a couple of types of rice (we were able to try creamy rice with chicken and mushrooms and a very good banda rice). Just about the rice, I didn't take a photo of how good it was and the desire with which we ate it! I'm sure other reviews have photos of those wonderful rice dishes. Lastly, they have a wide variety of desserts, homemade and fruit. The menu has a price of €17.90. They cook GLUTEN FREE, except for the Ávila village bread (spectacular) and the torrija they have for dessert, making it a very interesting option for celiacs. Highly recommended!!

I loved the restaurant and every detail that makes it unique. As a starter, we tried potatoes with pumpkin seasoned with parsley, garlic, and lemon on top, similar to "anchovies." It was delicious. Then we ordered the tortilla pincho, which was delicious—the best vegan potato omelet I've ever eaten. For the main course, the four-cheese pizza with gluten-free dough was delicious, with a fresh tomato base that was unique. The cheese combination was a showcase of flavors. The place is very welcoming, and Jaime's service is exceptional; he does his work with passion, and it shows. Thank you for that. Congratulations.

Excellent Thai food, including some gluten-free options for celiacs such as noodles or rice with vegetables, chicken, beef or prawns, as well as the traditional Thai dessert of mango with rice. And the best, the wait staff like Ginger, who always serves you with great kindness, efficiency and professionalism (with the issue of gluten, they even use a napkin to prevent your plate from suffering cross contamination when bringing it to the table). The place is not very big, but if you are looking for a place where they are reasonably fast preparing the food and with good quality-price (around 30 euros for 2 people), this is your place. We always repeat that we crave Thai cuisine. You also have the option of ordering it to take away or at home.

This review is about gluten-free food. The restaurant is fine for those who don't have celiac disease. The food is delicious and the service is good. However, they offer gluten-free pizza, and it turns out they make it in the same oven as the gluten-containing pizzas. So they don't have gluten-free pizza. They have contaminated pizza. I would love to have a place where I can eat gluten-free and safely. They also offer gluten-free pasta, but now I'm not sure there won't be cross-contamination in the preparation of the pasta dishes. Shame.

The food is delicious and there are gluten-free and healthy options, which is greatly appreciated. The downside is lunchtime during the week. It's chaotic. I ordered a cold sandwich to go, and it took half an hour. There's no time if you have to get back to work. There's a shortage of staff in the kitchen and on the terrace. I hope things improve and I can eat there every day. 🤞🏻

My husband and I are from Australia and found Viva Chapata in Lavapies at the end of our stay in Madrid. The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed, they had gluten free alternatives clearly marked on their menu, and the coffee was the best we had in Europe. We had planned to return early the next morning but needed to catch our flight, so hope the staff see this review - we’re sorry we didn’t make it back! We recommend highly to anyone. We went as a group of six friends for lunch and were delighted. The terrace is super pleasant, the food (special weekend menu) is delicious, and the service is good value. It's worth noting, and very important for us, that since my husband is celiac, they adapt several dishes on the menu, and everything suited him perfectly. Therefore, they take great care to avoid any traces or cross-contamination. No danger for celiacs! The service was slow because we went at 3:15 pm, right during rush hour, but everyone was very pleasant.
