Great food and good service. I had a gluten-free cheese steak, and it was fabulous. I could not taste the normal gluten-free flavors. It was really good bread.

We went for brunch. I wouldn't recommend it for a gluten-free person. Their options were very limited. I got a side of scrambled eggs which were bland and tasteless and a side of bacon. The bacon was meh. I didn't even finish one slice. My husband got the poutine, which he said was just okay.
Our wait person was great and we were seated promptly.
Discover a delightful gem with an amazing chef's choice menu, flexible options, and an unforgettable atmosphere that makes every visit special.

I happened across this place on Google maps while I was looking for somewhere to have dinner for my birthday. It ended up being AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about the food, the service, the atmosphere. I loved our waiter, and everyone we interacted with was infallibly courteous and pleasant. And the food was incredible. We had the chef's choice menu. They were very flexible in providing gluten-free options, which is remarkable given that it's a prix-fixe menu. I'm pretty hard to please with food, but I ate everything they put in front of us and would have eaten more. Even the cocktail (the cucumber basil smash) was probably the best one I've ever had. Well done Nina May!
Expect a mouthwatering experience with a vibrant atmosphere, top-tier service, and rave reviews for unique dishes and desserts.

We enjoyed a great dinner at Joe's. We were able to get a last-minute reservation while in town for one night. The food was excellent, but the service was top-notch, and I would give our server, Jeffery, 10 stars if I could.
First, they were extremely accommodating with my extensive food allergies. My son and husband have no food allergies, so they got to enjoy a lot more than me.
I opted for the grilled seafood platter that came with scallops, lobster, and shrimp and for a side sautted mushrooms. Everything was made gluten-free, also dairy, soy, peanut, and treenut free.
It was hearty and delicious and I don't often enjoy a meal so much, especiallyseafood. It's hard to find places that can accommodating me.
My son got filet with crab Oscar and my husband a ribeye with bearnaise. They shared a mashed potatoe and a lobster mac.
Jeffery was attentive and funny, and we enjoyed his stories. It made the experience even better.
We are looking forward to eating there again next time we are in town.
This spot buzzes with energy and offers attentive service, making for a great dining experience with a focus on food safety.

Had a great time here! I have celiac disease which can be very stressful when traveling. This place was suggested to me as they have protocols to avoid cross contamination. After placing my order a manager came over and said my waiter had let her know that I have an allergy/sensitivity and that they take it ver seriously. She said they work hard to ensure there is no cross contamination and that my food would come out with a red flag to confirm it is gluten free. This made me feel very comfortable as I didn’t even ask to talk to anyone they just did it! I had gluten free rigatoni alla vodka which was good. I was so happy with the service that I came back today for breakfast and had some of the best home fries I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place, food, staff, and atmosphere are all great.

If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.)
This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast.
It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather.
The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.

There is a difference between a weekend menu (eggs Benedict and oatmeal) and a week day menu (not as good) so do not be fooled. They did make and exception to allow for the oatmeal since I can not have gluten making the service great.

The food is quite good. I really enjoy the oysters Rockefeller as it is one of the first I have seen that is gluten free and tastes good. Typically I order the steak frites which is always good. The other times when I have ordered things such as the chicken sandwich and schnitzel, I have not always been pleased. I believe the chicken sandwich is juicy, but a tad bland. For the schnitzel, it is definitely not traditional. I saw the idea of what was being put out, but it did not fully resonate with my palate. Nonetheless, I hope to be back soon for a couple drinks and oysters.
Amazing Easter Brunch! Thoroughly enjoyed the Easter Brunch experience at 1789. The menu, ambience, and service were exceptional. Gluten Free options available as well.

Silver is one of the easiest places for us to eat when we are in D.C. They are busy, but we have no trouble getting a table. I think we made a reservation for Sunday brunch, though. The food is good. I have gotten the Salmon Sliders twice, but will hopefully remember not to get them again. It may be because I have to have them use gluten free bread (that often changes the dish) but they are bland - just pieces of salmon on bread really, so I can't recommend them, but like I said, could be from the bread switch. In general though it's good food, nice place and easy and we always enjoy eating there. For parking for the Wisconsin Ave location, park in the lot near Giant/CVs - then have Silver validate your ticket for free parking!
Enjoy a unique dining experience with exceptional service and expert knowledge on special dietary needs in a lively atmosphere.

Very Celiac friendly! Their fries and cooked in a separate fryer and they have gluten free buns that are so good I did a double take thinking it wasn’t gluten free.
The food remains delicious and the service, especially, around the bar, has been much better. Huge restaurant with several dining areas including a couple that can be sectioned off for a big group/ party. Lots of outdoor seating as well. It's usually busy but it's worth the trip just for the flour tortillas. If you have gluten intolerance, my apologies. The fajitas (all types) are by far my favorite. The newish brisket tacos and fish tacos are also on my short list. The chimichangas were also good. I also love their chips and salsa. The salsa is a little watery but I still like it more than most restaurants. I'm glad this place has stuck around with all the new restaurants and upgrades to this area.
A go-to spot for memorable events, offering a stunning outdoor patio, excellent service, and a venue that impresses every guest.

It's a solid brunch spot. Coffee is so-so, but staff is very friendly. I can't eat gluten and appreciated being able to chose an extra side over the bread. It's a busy place but the wait is never too long and the food is good!
Booze bowls pack a punch, custom meals are a hit, and the view is a treat; just be ready for a bit of a wait, even with a reservation.

The food was okay- not allergen friendly, and when asked our waiter said he would check with the cooks and he never said anything about it afterwards. I'm gluten free due to a mild to moderate allergy. Nothing on the menu was clearly marked other than to say they can't guarantee allergen free and to check with your waiter. The waiter seemed too distracted. The food we got was just alright, nothing super special. The restaurant was beautiful and the area around the restaurant was fun! We went around Christmas time and there was an ice rink so it was fun to watch the skaters gliding around as we ate and chatted. It's worth a chance, but be careful if you have any allergies.
Enjoy a charming atmosphere perfect for brunch or dinner, with great menu options and a focus on sustainability and local brands.

We had a very lovely dinner at the Pembroke and enjoyed their Sunday Supper pre fixe menu. We had both a nut allergy and a serious gluten intolerance in our party. The staff was incredibly proactive about communicating what was safe for us to eat and even provided us with delicious alternatives when we could not eat the course that was on the menu. They also have a wine list highlighting female-owned and sustainable brands. The rosé we enjoyed was a wonderful complement to the meal.
Enjoy a unique menu with plenty of vegan options, but watch out for the smoothie bowl—it might not be what you're expecting!

Great for gluten free vegans!!!! menu is well-marked and there are multiple items for folks living (eating) at the intersection of GF& vegan. however, DO NOT order the “smoothie bowl” i immediately wanted to send it back (but i would never cuz that’s crazy, ab as crazy as this review). the smoothie bowl is liquidy-soupy like a drinking a drink with a spoon and it comes in a mug. coupe, yall need to rethink that one or remove it. i rlly regretted ordering it and i usually LOVE smoothie bowls.

Really nice spot for holiday tea, with outstanding service from Allison, who was well versed in the wide variety of teas, and the rest of the crew. We liked the tower of sandwiches and sweets better than tea at the Willard.

Such wonderful people. I’m a newly-diagnosed celiac and it’s been hard. I ordered from Ted’s Bulletin on UberEats and the restaurant actually called me to let me know that one of the items wasn’t gluten-free. Then they went above and beyond to find me a safe substitute. The food was really good too!
Unique dishes at an unbeatable price make this spot a must-visit, though parking can be tricky and outdoor dining gets a bit noisy.

This place is a MUST TRY. The quality of the food was high, and especially for a price that is hard to come by without skipping on quality. The dishes here are very unique, and healthy. I am gluten-free due to Celiac's, and this place has possibly the BEST flourless brownie I have tried (and I am very picky about brownies, given they are my favorite dessert). My girlfriend and I ate here last week, each getting an entree and drink, and we shared the brownie, all for a low price of $35 after tipping. Unfortunately, parking is difficult to come by and it's located on a fairly busy intersection, making outdoor dining a little noisy & distracting. Even with that said, I am returning to this restaurant tonight!

I've been wanting to try this place for over a year and it was worth the wait.
Initially I found it when looking for gluten free friendly restaurants and it had great reviews. A lot of their dishes can be made gluten free including some pastas.
This place was *cozy* but modern. Great atmosphere especially if you go during a quiet time. We went at 830 which was perfect cuz the rush was over and we got a great table.
Service was great, very attentive and great recommendations. I even asked for a recommendation on champagne/prosecco and they ended up bringing me a sample of something not even on the menu yet which was exactly the taste I wanted.
We both got steak, the NY strip and filet. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've had in a very long time. My partner got the strip med-rare and it was *actually* medium rare.
We got the fried pork belly app and Brussel sprouts app. I don't even like Brussel sprouts... like low key hate them but these were GOOD.
I could see this place being a place that's not great when super busy. It's not a big restaurant and some of the tables were pretty tight. So I definitely recommend a reservation and going during a less busy time if possible.
Will definitely be coming back

Everything we ate was amazing. My husband and I ate the vegan 5 course taster. They were able to accommodate my gluten free needs with ease and we enjoyed 4 hrs of pampering eating outside with exceptional service from waiter Georgi. Chef/owner Todd came and checked on us at the beginning and end of our experience which made it all the more memorable for our family of four. Only remembered to take a few photos and some half way through eating, but every work of art was plated beautifully.

We have been to the Nashville location many times, and we're so excited to try the location in DC. The food was great, and we now have new favorites that we hadn't tried before. This is a great place for anyone. But especially for those with celiac or just need gluten-free without the worry of cross contamination. The crispy zucchini is a must.

Such a beautiful restaurant, really a lovely setting - our Book Club of seven people was really looking forward to it. Our server, Jason, did a great job with our group, and tried hard to find something I could eat. I think everyone else's food was excellent - I wouldn't know because there was almost nothing I could eat that did not contain gluten, even though many items are listed as gluten-free. There is a very small note at the bottom of the menu that modifies that anything is gluten free. Also, our runner "auctioned" our dishes when we were served - had no idea whose food was whose. The music at lunch-time was ridiculously loud, with the effect that everyone in the restaurant had to shout, making the noise level uncomfortable. Note that 6/7 loved their food. And my citrus salad was delicious, but certainly not a full lunch for me. Surely the menu should be labeled differently to be accurate.
Traveled to DC for a weekend restaurant tours. My wife and I were initially very excited about trying this Michelin star restaurant; however that was short lived. Reservations were made a month in advance and confirmed a week prior. We were guaranteed a nice table in the dining room. My wife is extremely gluten intolerant and asked numerous questions regarding this prior to confirming our reservation. The manager on the phone stated not a problem and our menu would be marked gf and ensured no cross contamination. When we arrived we were seated at the bar (first red flag). Our waiter was a bartender who only came to our table twice- once with a cocktail second to take our order. When placing our order the waiter/bartender clearly has no idea what was gluten free and ignored us when we requested assistance with the menu. We made the best guess as we could and went from there. We asked to keep a menu to order a variety of dishes to share in which the waiter proceeded to take our menus anyway. That was the last time we saw him. Other staff brought food to our table. We attempted to get someone’s attention numerous time for wine service with no avail. The food was good but had to request another staff for a desert that again no questions were answered. Summary food was good but not at the level of a Michelin star- service was extremely sub par after we even tried to get a server’s attention. I guess good news is we had anticipated spending twice what we did; however with no service that didn’t occur.

What a picturesque place to dine. Be sure to use the side entrance of the building as I always see people checking each door to see if it’s the entrance(I too was that person the first time). The waiter did a great job tending to our needs. I value Jose Andres’s project mission and hope some of our bill contributed to it. The food was phenomenal and overall quite the experience. The only thing I had wished for was for more food options when it came to dietary restrictions. It seems restaurants do a great job with vegetarian options and gluten free options but not so much both combined.
Overall the food was great though.

4 stars for service, Mike our server was so diligent with making sure food items would be safe for my restrictions (dairy and gluten free)
However the options available were small. I always go for the beyond burger when available but none of the buns fit my restrictions so I got a lettuce wrap. And fries were not safe so I got carrots that had no taste.
Fun place with good food. Server was nice and took great care to make our meals enjoyable. Many gluten free options. Everything came out well spiced and cooked to perfection. We had the shrimp with jalopenia polenta, a cheese selection, fried brussel sprouts, poke, and a burger with blue cheese.
Extras can hit the wallet hard here, but the pizza has great taste that makes it worth it despite its smaller size.

I’m gluten free so unfortunately, I had to pay an extra $3 for my pizza, which is already expected but it sucks…. It was very good but I wish it was the same price or at least the same size of the normal pizza. It was like 1/2 a size smaller 😭
Good food and excellent service. Our waiter took extra care to get my order right. They have several gluten free options, and they are willing and able to customize dishes.

I am celiac and vegan and they were able to accommodate me. Nick G was my server and was super helpful in walking me through the menu and telling me what to avoid. They only have 1 deep fryer so any thing that is deep fryer will not be gluten free (fries included). I got the burger bowl, normally I avoid restaurants that don't have gluten free buns but this burger salad was actually good. Great experience!

First time I went with my family they tried to pass off a gluten reduced beer as gluten free. They gave us quite an argument when we sent it back. The service and food was good.
The second time we went back my daughter ordered from the gluten free menu a salad and after waiting an hour for our meal they brought her a salad with a slice of bread in it. She specifically said she didn't want the ficcaccio. Our drinks didn't come in a timely fashion and the food order didn't even come for my grandson at all. My food and my granddaughters food took 50 minutes to get to the table. The couple besides us ordered the same time as us and received their food and drinks and paid their check and left before my granddaughter and i got our food. When we complained to the manager for the second time, he offered to comp our meal but that was of no help as we had run out of time at that point and had to leave to catch our train. So what I had hoped to be a pleasant meal to end our trip resulted in a mad dash for the train and the twins eating Mc Donald's.
