Great food, really friendly and welcoming service. I feel very safe and at ease bringing my celiac mother here, as well. It’s such good peace of mind to be able to trust that a place can serve celiac friendly food.
With a comfy vibe and delicious offerings, this spot is perfect for a satisfying meal, though the decor could use a cozy touch.

4.5. Terroni is consistently a reliable and delicious Italian meal. This location has an amazing patio that stays open for as long as possible.
We went on a very busy Saturday night and it was good but everything took a long time and the servers were overwhelmed.
They’re great at accommodating allergies (they have a seperate menu for dairy and gluten free items) however, they don’t like making amendments to the dishes(nothing new, old Terroni rule).
I always LOVE the funghi salad and the pastas (with dairy and no amendments) are great.

The food excellent. We ordered two dishes of amatriciana pasta and they were excellent. One of the pastas we ordered was gluten-free (handmade) and it is one of the best gluten-free pastas we have tried. The service was very attentive and the restaurant is very nice and had a very comfortable and pleasant atmosphere.
Quirky decor and a vibrant ambiance create an inviting vibe, with great service and impressive meal quality that keeps diners coming back.

The food was excellent. The Caesar salad is really good. Lick the plate good. I had a gluten free pizza and it actually had a crunchy crust and dough like interior... Which never happens! Highly recommend that. Service on a Saturday night was snooty and hard to come by... But they did the job and it was busy as heck. However I did watch an empty table for four sit empty for about 30-45 minutes... While there were people lined up out the door. Interesting. Interior is nice looking and lots of room between tables which is appreciated. Less snooty like service would be even better... felt rushed. But the food was fab. Steak was also had, all plates were cleaned!!
An unforgettable dining spot where the service truly shines and the vibe is perfect for celebrations, making every moment memorable.

As someone who is gluten free, and who often tries to minimize my dairy consumption, I am appreciative of Defina’s offerings!
This pizzeria has gluten free bases, as well as well-thought out vegan toppings (they do change up). The gluten free dough is very good. It’s more fluffy as opposed to flat (I prefer this Neapolitan style of pizza).
What I like most about Defina is their creative toppings. There really is something for everyone here! You want a regular margarita? Got it. You want a lot of cheese? Got it. You want chicken wings? Somehow - got it!
The service has also always been friendly, attentive, and willing to talk me through my dietary needs. I also like the more intimate atmosphere, which makes it perfect for a date (friendship, romantic, or even self-dating).
For a creative pizzeria that caters to multiple dietary restrictions, head over to Defina!

Gluten-Free Options: Yes -ask your waiter.
Cross Contamination: Low to medium risk.
Halal/ Kosher Options: No
Vegan Option: No
Vegetarian Options: Yes
Nut-Free Options: Yes
First Impression: Lively hip yet casual restaurant.
Favourite: The ginger peach sparkling spritz and the home made dill sauce.
Critiques: It’s would be lovely to see more options on the menu with different kinds of meats. Also, the service could improve a little. Our server was decent but would have been nice if she was a little more engaged. In addition, the anchovies pizza may need more than just 4 small piece of anchovies on it.
Bonus: Home made dipping sauce available. The dill sauce was phenomenal!
Take Away: Nice place to go out for a casual Italian bite!

We enjoyed the fixed dinner menu which had great choices and was a very fair price! The risotto was our favourite (my boyfriend had the tagliatelle salsiccia which was well done just not "AMAZING!"). The orange polenta cake was gorgeous and on a vegetarian & gluten free diet I still had so many choices. Cocktails were beautiful and unique also. We will be back!

4.5. Great classic spot, been around forever. Amazing rooftop patio and classic Italian fare- always specials too.
Atmosphere is lovely and service is attentive. Servers are knowledgeable and have typically been there a while. Like a many Toronto spots- more attention if you’re ordering drinks, less attention if you’re not.
The busser’s are good about refilling the water and they always leave a bottle on the table.
Atmosphere is bustling throughout the restaraunt, the patio is also beautiful and a fun vibe. Great for people of all-ages (a little quieter outside which is nice).
Food is great and they also have an allergen menu which indicates dairy free, gluten free, and vegan options- so accommodating and helpful. Aside from this they don’t really ever make accommodations to the food.
They’re good about allergies - specifically helpful with a soy allergy.
The bread is made in house and is delicious- ingredients listed on side of the basket.
The food is consistent - some dishes really shine.
Don’t sleep on the funghi salad starter, the grilled calamari starter, the spaghetti a limone, or the bolognese.
Cocktails are GREAT, albeit a little on the pricier side.
A classic Toronto spot that always comes through.
Enjoy a delightful dining experience with incredible pasta, attentive service, and a welcoming vibe that'll make you want to return!

The gluten free gnocchi is insanely good. I’m so shocked it’s gluten free, it was so good. The sauce is so cheesy and creamy and delicious.
The gluten free pizza is decent, but nothing too special. The gnocchi is 100% more of a highlight. Their crust is more like a thin cracker, which is still good but not my absolute favourite.
Our server was really nice and chatty. They have strong opinions about the order and speed at which you eat lol.
I think it’s a tad overpriced, but not crazy. Like it was not a $27 pizza in my opinion.

We went to this restaurant on a Friday night. The hostess and manager were very welcoming. Our server Ray was friendly, professional and attentive. We all ordered pasta, which comes in a gluten-free option for a charge. This was a great feature as two out of three of us opted for this option. My pasta dish had a good ratio of pasta and protein. The other two, however, could have had more protein in them. Overall, they were delicious. The avocado bruchetta was delicious!!
The restaurant is spacious and beautiful.
The lighting where we were seated, however, was dim and we had difficulty reading the menu!
The music, was very loud and we mentioned a number of times for it to be lower! The music choice, itself could have better suited the elegance of the restaurant. Maybe a softert Italian music to promote a more relaxed dinning experience.
Eventually, our request was accommodated, and the manager came to check and see if we were OK with the volume, which was great customer service.
Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Scaddabush.

Hot House Restaurant in the St.Lawrence Market stands out as one of Toronto's most popular dining spots, renowned for its exceptional food, vibrant and spacious ambiance, and impeccable service. The menu is a delightful mix of international flavors, featuring gourmet pizzas, succulent steaks, pasta dishes, seasonal salads, and decadent desserts. The extensive vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options cater to diverse dietary needs, making it a top choice for all diners. The Frutti Di Mare, Sunday brunch buffet, and expertly crafted ribs are notable recomendations. My favourite as a vegetarian is their Winterlicous menu of imaginative dishes as pictured from the last one, of Tuscany Farro Soup, Vegetable Kebabs and Cardamom Olive Cake. I'm looking forward to the next.
The ambiance is equally impressive, with spacious, colorfully decorated interiors and a sunlit 150-seat patio perfect for enjoying fine Italian wines or Canadian craft beers. Whether it’s a heatwave or a chilly evening, the restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Attentive and friedly staff go the extra mile to accommodate guests, including handling dietary restrictions with care.
Located in the heart of Toronto at 35 Church Street at Front, Hot House is steps away from local landmarks like St. Lawrence Market. With street and nearby parking available, it’s a convenient and memorable spot for any occasion, which I recommend.
Enjoy a cozy atmosphere with top-notch cocktails, flavorful dishes, and a great view from the patio, though service can be a bit slow.

Great food and vibes, and the location is superb, of course. My only feedback is that I’d love to see more cider and gluten-free options on the menu. While it's nice that most pastas can be substituted with gluten-free penne, it would be even better to have another gluten-free pasta option that isn’t penne. Gluten-free farfalle, for example, would be a fantastic addition to your menu.

The food is delicious but the service was annoying. Many different and uncoordinated waiters served us. They took advantage of the fact that we are tourists to make them pay for mineral water when it is clear that this is not what they intended. They serve gluten-free pasta (I don't usually like corn pasta, but it was good and well-made) but there is no marking on the menu about dishes that can be served gluten-free, and verbally they gave confused answers. We made a reservation in advance and yet we were seated at the bar. There was annoying music in the background throughout the event.

My colleague and I stopped here to get some dinner after a conference at the University of Toronto. They offer all of their pizzas and pastas with a gluten free option. My coworker had the gluten free pasta and I had the Diavolo pizza on regular crust. It was a solid pizza and I would definitely go there again should I find myself back in the area. Her pasta was cooked al dente, so that should make the gluten free folks feel good. Not soggy like some places. Our server was attentive and friendly. Drinks and food arrived quickly and it cost us about 25 per person not including beer and cocktails.

If you're looking for a place with quality food and amazing staff look no further. Our server was a gem and made sure that we knew all of our options in detail. He even brought out gluten free crackers for me without me asking. I've never had someone do that but it's the little details like that which set this restaurant apart. I ordered a gluten free pasta and my boyfriend got a pizza. Both were delicious! Their chocolate mousse is the perfect balance of decadent and light. Italian cuisine and vegetarian cuisine is simply a perfect match. The restaurant is classy but not fancy. The menu is short and simple but curated. (I do wish they had more gluten free options). Very interesting wine menu!
I had the plant based brie and the mushroom steak. Delicious even if the vegan steak was a bit too “meaty” for my taste.
Overall it was a great dinner. Very curious to see what else they add/change to their menu.

NO Gluten Free options besides Salad and Fries.......
I moved to the neighbourhood 7 months ago and fell in love with this restaurant as I am Gluten Intolerant and Plant Based. My first experiences were awesome, lots of GF options, delicious food, great service and very fair prices. I am so disappointed with this place now as they decided to have NO Gluten Free options!!
Last night I went for my birthday dinner with a friend and was told the only GF option was salad & fries... I have to say the server had no sympathy or care that they just lost a table, their reasoning to stop serving gf is because they make all their pasta in house, that's great, but only 2 months ago they had a gf pasta, why stop? In this day and age with gluten intolerance growing I am surprised they would choose to not have even 1 gluten free pasta (like every other restaurant does) for the odd guest they have. Within my plant based community I know more gluten free people than not, I feel this decision to not have something for their gf customers is going to back fire on them. Sadly I will never be going back to this restaurant again.
I gave it 2 stars as the food was good when I was able to eat there, and the service is usually great too.

Atmosphere - nice and cozy
Service - good as toronto standard
Food - sauces, ingredients and combinations are good and unique. Strong flavors give you distinct surprices among all different dishes without similarity feeling.
BUT, seems no one mention about the texture of the fresh pasta, it is a bit sticky to your teeth. Maybe this is their style of cooking to serve "al dante" pasta, to me (I also make my own pasta), a smooth and glutenous pasta is more preferable!
All in all, Viaggio worth a try to inspire your taste.
Enjoy a stunning waterfront view in Toronto while savoring consistently high-quality meals, especially on the lovely patio during summer.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Eden Trattoria with about 40 guests, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we began planning, everything was seamless. The gluten-free spaghetti and flourless chocoate torte at Grazie Toronto is absolutely out of this world! Hands down, this was my favourite restaurant meal ever. Every bite was pure heaven. The only thing that could make it better was a gluten-free bread option to complete the perfect three-course experience.

Delicious food, with gluten free options available. We sat on the heated patio with a group of 5. Food: not for people who has gluten & lactose intolerance. Waiter mentioned there is cross contamination. When food arrived it was very small plate for something g that $34.07. The plate was the size of two smart phones beside each other. Also I had calamari and it was super salty
Service: Waiter was some what attentive and provided me with options that may not contain gluten. I also mentioned lactose intolerance. When food arrive it has cheese. I also ordered mimosa and it never came even after I inquired.
The price of food was unjustifiable for the size and taste.
Atmosphere: the aesthetics is beautiful. But the atmosphere felt more like a fast food restaurants, than a fast foor restaurant it self.
