We were looking for a solution for gluten free food in Bologna. The Vecchio Mercato restaurant met the requirements because it is an AIC certified restaurant. We came at different times for lunch. Let's start by saying that the pasta they offer is all homemade. There are appetizers, first and second courses, both meat and fish and finally also desserts and ice creams, always made by them and NOT packaged. We took some aubergine appetizers (croquettes, parmigiana and rolls) all with excellent flavor and tasty enough to make you want to have more. But let's go slowly. The first ones. The maccheroncini with bacon and the very tasty Bolognese balanzoni gave no hint of a different flavor compared to a dish made with classic flours. Huge portions!!!! Here too, for the flavor (and if there had been some room in the stomach) we would have taken another portion. The seconds. The bacon with a bed of polenta cooked to perfection, balanced in flavor and very tender meat, so much so that it could be cut with a fork and finally the Petroniana cutlet. Well, do you know ceramic trays? Well it was full of meat, here too cooked to perfection and loaded with ham (for those who know it, you know what I'm talking about) we struggled to finish it!! And finally the desserts... I repeat, the difference with those made with wheat flour is absolutely not noticeable! The staff, knowledgeable and kind, made us feel at home, even recommending dishes, which turned out to be excellent advice on pairings! A 10 out of 10 for the Vecchio Mercato!

We received a recommendation today for the best Lasagna Bolognese in Bologna - it was correct. We had a fantastic meal tonight at La Capriata. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were offered a dedicated Gluten Free menu which was a nice touch. All four of us really enjoyed our dinner.

Our first need was to find a pizzeria that cooked gluten-free pizzas and the Due Lune restaurant has a double menu for celiacs and is an AIC restaurant. The pizzas with and without gluten are excellent, as is the service, friendly and fast staff. The place is large and due to the large tables the environment sometimes becomes a bit noisy but if the company is good and the food is good too, you don't notice. Well done!

They have a lot of gluten free options. The bread is extraordinary! My husband and I ordered tagliere for 2 and it was great. Because I’m celiac, both breads were gluten free and he actuallly said it was very tasteful. I 100% Recommend this place if you are gluten intolerant/ celiac. Location wise? It couldn’t be better. Just a few meters away from the Torre Dell’Orologio and the Neptune Fountain.

We had lunch in this restaurant for my graduation, the food was delicious, from the pizzas to the first courses and also the desserts, the staff was very kind, and the place was very welcoming. The gluten-free cuisine is reliable and is effectively gluten-free and contamination-free, as unfortunately does not happen in other restaurants. Even though we were a little late due to some problems and with lunch we exceeded the closing time of the restaurant, the staff was still very kind and helpful in understanding the situation, without making us feel it in any way. I highly recommend this restaurant, thanks again!

Great gluten free food with many options to choose. I was so happy to find this place as I am gluten inteligent and it is hard to find good breakfast in new places. It saved my life cause I was very hungry after the trip. I came back several times and I will be back again for sure :)

Wow wow wow! Great joint for lunch. Great friendly welcome. Menu explained, GF pizza all round! ( warning, the kitchen is a one and all for us coeliacs) in saying that, I’m feeling fine hours later and I react pretty fast. So well done on them. Pizza was massive, I’m a big guy and struggled ( but won! ) tasted amazing. The nautical theme is awesome. Big ups. Go, you know you want to now.

If you are looking for guten free pastries, then this is the place. Two chairs only and I do not think they serve coffee. But with these pastries in your bag and coffeeshops just a 5 min walk away, you are set up for an unhealthy gluten free treat. Bravo!

Nice place albeit on the outskirts, about half an hour from Bologna. Friendly and helpful staff, few dishes on the menu but of good quality. The entire menu can also be replicated gluten-free. Portions normal, prices slightly higher than average but still acceptable for the quality and service

My boyfriend and I had dinner at the Taverna for our anniversary last night and we were extremely satisfied and fascinated by this reality. The farm is located in a wonderful area, and from the restaurant you can enjoy a breathtaking view. The menu was all available even gluten-free, AIC certified for years, and it was really good! We also had the opportunity to have a chat with the chef and owner, a delightful person! We will definitely be back and next time we will also try Glamping. Thank you so much for this experience!

Gluten-free options for fried foods, which is greatly appreciated because there is no other place like it in all of Bologna. The fried ones are very tasty while the chicken is somewhat dry so it would need a little more sauce, as well as the potatoes that would need seasoning since they have nothing and are somewhat bland. I don't give it 4 stars for these cons because of the great job of making gluten-free fried foods. Thank you very much for your commitment, I will return numerous times.

The owner of Bruscè is very friendly and you feel comfortable there. I have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free and I received a large selection of gluten-free dishes there. For breakfast we had omelettes, pancakes and a yoghurt fruit bowl with granola, and for lunch we had delicious gnocchi. Highly recommended!

Lots of gluten free options, good pizza but nothing special. For the desserts I expected something more, as there are no desserts made specifically gluten-free (cakes or other) but only desserts that are naturally gluten-free (mascarpone, panna cotta, etc ...)

I've been wanting to do this review for a while... The rolling pin of the goose is my guarantee and Fabio our trusted "sfoglino". I am celiac and intolerant to many foods; all my requests have been treated with great professionalism and the result has always been exquisite. From tagliatelle to tortellini...from lasagna to gnocchi...everything perfect! This year we relied on Fabio for my children's birthday cakes and for a small gluten-free buffet for the party... The cakes, a classic one with gluten and a gluten-free jam tart, were appreciated by the guests and not even a slice was left over! Cordiality, friendliness, kindness and great professionalism! I recommend everyone to try some delicacies from Matrello dell'oca

Starting from the food I can say that I didn't try it because after ordering a gluten-free pizza for 8.30pm it didn't arrive. After several return calls at 10.15pm I was told that the rider rang and couldn't find me at home and that the place was closing and they couldn't do anything anymore. It created a lot of inconvenience as a celiac guest did not eat. This place will never have an order placed by me again.

Great restaurant. Very tasty food and friendly and courteous staff (some even speak English). There were two of us and luckily we got a table without a reservation. When we accidentally ordered the wrong appetizer platter, we were able to return it without any problems. The price-performance ratio is more than reasonable (3 courses for 2 people were available for €50! including non-alcoholic drinks). It was a wonderful evening, we would love to come back. *Gluten-free dishes possible

Cozy place and impeccable service. The chef, super attentive to quality, came to our table and told us about the menu, the local products used and all the gluten-free alternatives in a detailed and careful way. Very attentive to gluten-free and above all to contamination, in fact most of the dishes on the menu can be adapted gluten-free. We felt very pampered and will definitely return.
