While strolling around Myogadani, I suddenly came across the ``biossa gluten-free bakery specialty store''. Attracted by the word gluten-free, I decided to buy the "salted butter roll" to try it out. When I took a bite, I couldn't help but smile at how delicious it was. The rich flavor of butter and the perfect amount of salt spreads in your mouth, and the chewy texture is irresistible. Butter rolls are delicious enough to eat on their own, but they also go well with a variety of dishes and side dishes. You can imagine what kind of combinations you would enjoy. There are many delicious bakeries in Myogadani, so if the bread at the first shop you stumble across is so delicious, you may be satisfied without trying other bakeries. However, if you definitely add ``Biossa gluten-free bakery specialty store'' to your repertoire, you will be able to live a richer baking life. The bread at this shop is completely gluten-free (rice flour bread). When you think of gluten-free bread, you have the impression that you have to compromise on taste and texture, but this is not the case at all with the salted butter rolls here. In fact, I found it to be so perfectly delicious that I didn't even realize it was gluten-free. When you come to Myogadani, be sure to stop by ``biossa gluten-free bakery specialty store.'' I'm sure you'll be waiting for an encounter with delicious bread that will change your concept of gluten-free.

I wanted to buy gluten-free bread, so I went in just after lunch on a weekday. There was a cute, friendly female staff member at the back of the counter preparing the bread? Making the dough? There didn't seem to be any customers at the cafe. It said it was a cafe, so I was worried I'd be able to buy just the bread, but I was able to. The shop is located a little way down the road across from MUJI, across from 246. From Takashimaya, it's just past Tsubame Grill and on the left. From Futako Tamagawa Station, it's about a 5-6 minute walk. I don't know if it's intentional, but the feel of the shop, from the exterior and interior, to the slightly dark atmosphere and concept, is very British (those who have been to England should know...) I didn't call out to the staff, but they stopped what they were doing and came to the register, probably because they saw me pick up a loaf of bread from the display, so I was able to pay smoothly. Rice flour bread is sold in tiny miniature loaves, and the price varies depending on the type, but it's about 400 to 500 yen per loaf. From what I saw, there were four kinds: plain, sweet sake, chocolate, and raisin. In terms of size, one loaf is about the size of a hot dog bun, I think. So, one person can eat a whole loaf in no time. The bread is rice flour bread, and the inside is chewy. The crust is crispy and very delicious. The inside is chewy, but it doesn't have the heavy, dense feeling that rice flour bread often has, and I think it's relatively fluffy for rice flour bread. It was my first time there, but I really liked it. I want to go again. There aren't many bakeries around here that make gluten-free bread, so I hope they keep doing their best.

I had a late brunch here with a friend. I am gluten sensitive, and she is lactose intolerant, so we thought that this place would be perfect for our sweet tooth cravings. Unfortunately, the pancake options are just two, and, if I may say, they are also quite expensive considering the average pancake price in town. That said, I am aware that in this society, finding allergens free food options in restaurants is not only extremely hard but also a quite expensive thing. We were, of course, interested in trying their limited/fall edition 焼き芋 pancake set and, leaving aside the fact that, as always, it looked really pretty but mostly tasted like sugar, the worst thing was actually the waiter's behaviour which was kinda rude and looked bored and annoyed most of the time. Considering the food price, he could've at least pretended to smile a little bit, right? Don't know if we want to come back again.

A curry shop located a little off Sunshine Street. From the entrance, I go down a flashy, narrow staircase to the basement. The inside of the store has a fun atmosphere with manga on shelves and posters. The chair is made of logs and leather and is very bulky lol The curry seems to be a gluten-free curry, and the roux takes two weeks to complete. Spice curry with vegetables, fruits, and 26 types of Chinese herbal medicine. No white sugar, milk, or trans fat. ◆Mushroom curry (¥1,054) ・Dry (normal curry shop dry) ・Gluten-free glutinous rice The curry roux has the sourness of vegetables, the fruitiness of fruit, and the punch of spice. It has a particularly strong sour taste. After eating it, the spices left a feeling of heat in my stomach, making it perfect for the cold winter. The mushrooms were plentiful and delicious. I think when I ordered curry, I was given one potato for free. It's been a while since I've been there, but I thought it had evolved into a buffet style, bar-like snack menu, cocktails, and more. What is Mouyan Curry (quoted from Instagram) When founder Chitaro Tsuji was a sports trainer, he wondered what foods were good for the body. As a result of repeated research and human experiments, we arrived at a ``spice-flavored simmered mixture of large amounts of various vegetables and fruits.'' I was in great shape, so I continued to eat it every day for a year and made improvements, and by chance I ended up with a curry-like food. We have continued to make further improvements to what we have today. It's the curry of the soul

I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free. They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free. However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it. If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.

An organic cafe in Kichijoji. A friend took me to the lunch buffet. I was so satisfied that I ate it twice. The lunch buffet is 1,550 yen from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. The 10th, 20th and 30th of every month are Gluten Free Days. The store also has miscellaneous goods, ingredients, cakes, etc., so you can enjoy just shopping. There are also take-out lunch boxes available. It gets crowded anyway. When ordering, I was told that the restaurant fills up quickly, so if you have to share a seat, please cooperate. We saw many people coming with their families. Thank you to my friend who introduced me.

Review for こめパンカフェ (Monday & Tuesday) A really good gluten-free cafe serving rice flour baguette sandwiches. My chicken sandwich was delicious, and I really enjoyed the Satsuma potato pottage. The baguette was one of the best gluten-free baguettes I’ve ever had. It was crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. Next time I will try to come earlier in the day so I can buy cinnamon rolls. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also understood wheat and gluten sensitivities very well.

Irregular open times. I love GyG. I love the food and the fact that it's gluten-free. But it's like a boyfriend that throws tantrums every now and then and suddenly closes without announcement. What I HATE is the irregular schedule that GyG in Shibuya operates. On google is says closing is 21:30pm. I went there twice at 19:00, only to find out that it's closed and there was a sign at the door thay says "we're open until 20:00, last order is 19:30". I arrived there at 19:15. Already closed. This happened twice already and it's such a hassle travelling all the way to Shibuya only to find out that it's closed and Google says it should close at 21:30. Go to GyG Harajuku. You can be sure they are open on the times they said they would be.

I stumbled upon this place accidentally, and was pleasantly surprised. I have been eating at all these other Japanese omakase restaurants that were very serious and quiet, so having an experience at a lively and boisterous place was a welcome change! The food was good and service was quick, would definitely come again. I am pescatarian and gluten-free, and I was able to order things I can eat.

Celiac, celiac, gluten-free It saved me from going hungry one day when another gluten-free restaurant in the area was not yet open for lunch/dinner. It's not a big deal, but they served us great and the hot dog is passable (I recommend at least 2). I tripped on the stairs and dropped a bit of my friend's food (3 fries and his dessert). They prepared more for us at no extra cost, hence the 5 stars. According to my friend, the burger he ordered was very delicious and not expensive at all. Thank you very much for the food!

This is a shop where you can eat gentle and delicious bread that does not use milk or eggs and uses simple ingredients. ○About the store Business days are limited to Tuesdays and Sundays. However, there are opportunities to purchase it at other stores, such as those sold on consignment at Kojikumiya and Ikebukuro on Fridays. Details can be found on Instagram. In addition to selling bread, it also functions as a coffee shop, so you can eat and drink the bread you purchase with a set of side dishes. Unusually, there is a vending machine. The only rice flour vending machine I've ever seen is the one in Okayama. The staff at the store (Yukiko Sekine and others) were very responsive. Since the only payment methods were cash or PayPay, I went to withdraw the money, but they kindly kept the bread for me while I was there. ○About bread Currently, there are three types of rice flour-based products: bread, horohoro cookies, and chiffon, and the others are wheat-based. Therefore, although rice flour bread is gluten-free, contamination is possible. All the breads have simple ingredients and seem to be of good quality. Also, most breads are labeled with information on ingredients, etc., so you can choose and purchase with confidence. ○About what I bought #rice flour bread It's quite elastic and chewy. Moist inside. The bottom side is hard and filling. The sweetness is gentle but not too weak, and it's delicious enough to keep eating as is. Of course, the binding is good, and none of the parts fall apart (some powder does fall off). #Rice flour cookies It's crumbly but easy to eat. It's so flavorful that you can eat 4 of them right away. Personally, I wish there were more varieties of rice flour bread and more stores and opportunities to buy it. However, the rice flour bread is so delicious that it's worth going just to buy it, so I'll continue to go here.

We went here twice during our stay. Very good food, smoothies, coffee and tea. I love how they serve soup with their main dish. Really great in the morning. Highly recommend. Works for dietary restrictions like gluten, dairy and vegan.

If you can’t eat gluten, Bikkuri Donki can be a lifesaver. It has a milk, egg, and gluten-free hamburg steak set meal. The meal comes with a hamburg steak, rice, and side salad. Milk-, egg-, and gluten-free salad dressing and mayonnaise are provided. The meal comes out marked as allergen-free. It’s one of the better hamburg steaks I’ve had, and the provided dressings are a nice touch. I ordered the small size meal, but you can order a large which comes with more rice. You place your order on a tablet, which can be changed to Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and English. On the tablet there is a QR code which takes you to a nutritional information charter which includes allergen information. When your food is served to you, you are also given a receipt with a QR code on it. When you pay, you go to the front of the store and scan your receipt at a machine. It will handle payment and can also be switched to other languages. Service was very fast. I was seated immediately and my food came out soon after I ordered it.

I'm thankful that they offer gluten-free okonomiyaki. I also appreciate that they have a strong service mentality, perhaps due to their high profit margins. The inside of the store is small, and the okonomiyaki is delicious. The wait time was long on Saturdays and Sundays, and although I was threatened with "up to an hour," I was able to get in within 2 to 30 minutes.

Cool atmosphere, like a retro bar. Not a ton of seating but wasn't really crowded when I arrived. Amazing burgers, and made mine gluten free by placing on lettuce. This place is a great find! Will definitely stop by again.

Accommodate celiac and gluten free safely. Extremely pleasant dining experience. They took my celiac disease extremely seriously and even went through the whole menu to tell me what they could make gluten free and what was off limits. I gave them my Japanese celiac card that also explains cross contamination. I went with the salmon. Sadly it was only a somewhat small piece of salmon and nothing more, I guess you had to order the side dishes separately. It was delicious however! So I ordered another one! My (non celiac) partner had the roasted chicken and the egg in potato dish. They were big and more than enough.
