Wow wow wow. Amazing. A must visit. Came with our friends who are non GF and they loved the normal offering. The GF option of rice noodles was so delicious. Very attentive service. Thank you.

Amazing. We ordered two savory and two sweet crepes and their matcha lattes. Everything was delicious and the staff is so friendly. The place is small so go early for seats.

Amazing spot for dietaries. They have 2 vegan Ramen and offer gluten-free noodles and dishes. The vegan gluten-free dumplings we tried were delicious and their signature Ramen, too. They also serve gluten-free beer. Totally recommended, we will be back.

Delicious pork kaatsu and Japanese fried chicken (and French fries). Non-GF family members were impressed with quality and authenticity. Hope to eat here again while we are in Kyoto!

Loved this place!! Everything is gluten free (even the macaroni) however the okonomiyaki was certainly the highlight. It was great to not have to worry about cross contamination - cannot recommend it enough
This cozy spot has a laid-back vibe with large windows, a welcoming atmosphere, and plenty of unique options worth a visit.

Very tasty food with gluten free options. The service is slower than the typical ramen-style restaurants where they get you in and out quickly but that didn't bother us.

We have enjoyed eating and they are also charming.

The best vegan and gluten free desserts I’ve ever tried (and I’m from LA where we’re spoiled with allergen friendly options)! The hojicha cake was my favorite; the matcha cake and ice cream sandwich were fantastic as well. The soy milk tea lattes were a delightful pairing.

Juwari Soba Specialty Store 10 Soba Kyoto Miyukicho Branch
(341-7 Daimonji-cho, Miyukicho-dori Oikeshita-ru, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City)
I visited with my wife for lunch on Wednesday, April 30, 2025🥢
This is a soba restaurant based on the concept of 100% soba noodles that can be eaten for just one coin.We want you to enjoy delicious 100% soba noodles made with domestic buckwheat flour. The tempura is also made with gluten-free buckwheat flour instead of wheat flour.
Today I ordered the new style cold mixed soba Genovese (990 yen), maitake tempura, and red ginger onion kakiage 😀
My wife ordered zaru soba (500 yen), maitake mushroom tempura, and chikuwa tempura 😉
However, we like 100% soba and have eaten 100% soba from various places, but the flavor and texture of 100% soba did not feel like 100% soba.
Also, the tempura and kakiage were not good enough🥴
The new style cold mixed soba Genovese was delicious, but that's about it😡
There was sobayu too••••••••••••••🤤
But at this price, it can't be helped.
Thank you for the meal🙏

One of the best experiences I've had ever having a meal across the world! Tucked away in a little alley in Kyoto I was reading on google this place had some amazing Udon along with amazing surface which did not disappoint!
It may look closed because its tucked away but it is not don't worry!
We got the venison soba which Is 100% buckwheat and gluten free! The owner explained all of this through one of the best pocket translators I've ever seen! Follow his instructions to eat it in the best way possible so it compliments your palate! After we had the amazing venison Soba he told us to leave some broth, so he could make a porridge which was even better! The whole meal was DELICIOUS!
It was quiet which added to ambiance and made it a very personal experience.
The owner/chef is one of the best, and most memorable people we came across during our 2 week trip in Japan. The fact he takes the time to explain how to eat the amazing dish properly , and puts his love into it makes a huge difference. Such a kind man!
I hope to visit this place again when we inevitably visit japan again someday 🙌🏽.

Excellent price-quality ratio. Nice choice of gluten-free and vegetarian dishes. Ultimately opted for a curry. Very thoughtfully, a large paper bib was ready. There were 6 jars of spices on the table that could give the dish extra flavor. Enjoyed lunch here.
Afternoon tea was full, so I made a reservation here for lunch.
It is also gluten-free and caffeine-free, so you can choose according to your mood.
This time, I had a light lunch as I had enjoyed the traditional Japanese cuisine in the morning, but next time I would like to stay at the Park Hyatt and enjoy the food at a more leisurely pace, so I made a reservation.
Nikenchaya has been here at the side entrance to Yasaka Shrine for almost 500 years. Today the storehouse is a beautifully lit cafe. I had the Oshiruko, a red bean soup with fresh Kyoto gluten and mochi balls, but what’s famous here is the Dengaku Tofu, tofu covered in their special peppery sauce.
Experience an exciting fire show while enjoying fantastic ramen and helpful tips on exploring hidden gems in Kyoto!

One of the most amazing experiences in Kyoto, it was fun but not demanding and the food was delicious. The staff were amazing and accommodating, I would highly reccomend.
Me being Gluten Free I would reccomend, I'm not coeliac, but we did notice everything was cooked separately and they made a big effort to make sure I wouldn't get the wrong order.

It is located near Shijo Street, so super convenient to include this restaurant to the travel itinerary. The venue gets crowded very quickly, so it would be better visit early. They seem to have gluten-free options as well, but I have not checked with the staff directly yet.
