Quirky spot with a cozy vibe, great ambiance, and a nice playlist, but it's in desperate need of a deep clean.

My celiac daughter and I always eat here at least once each visit to the city. Never had any issues issue with symptoms and she is fairly sensitive to gluten. She always gets chicken fingers and fries while I’ve enjoyed several different sandwiches/burgers. Highly recommend as a quick stop restaurant

This is a 100% GF bakery and coffee shop. I was so excited to get a cinnamon roll! I wish I had gotten a blueberry muffin to go! Next time for sure! They also have a restaurant down the street! They only take cash or AMEX so be prepared.

My first place to eat in NYC and my first time in a 100% GF restaurant. everything was so good, I got the Açaí bowl and the Classic Cheese Bread whilst my Grandmother got the Panini, she can eat gluten but said it was the best bread she’d ever had! I’d highly recommend, especially if you’re looking for bread you can chew!

Came to Friedmans on W 72nd with my friend Jess and we had such a great time! The vibe was super warm and welcoming, and the staff made us feel right at home. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich and Jess got the shakshuka both were amazing. You can tell they really care about quality ingredients, and the gluten-free options were a huge bonus. We weren’t rushed at all and got to just hang out and catch up over great food. Definitely adding this to our regular brunch rotation!

This place is fantastic! We went for a quick cocktail, but ended up staying for dinner as the happy hour food menu had some great options. Fantastic service, cocktails, and food across the board (also several gluten free options). Looking forward to returning!
Offering a mouthwatering selection of baked goods and pizza, this spot is a must-try, though takeout only and some order mix-ups are common.

we ordered coffee, bagels and cinnamon buns. The coffee was lukewarm. we asked the worker if it was possible to warm it up a little bit, and he gave us the dirtiest look and attitude ever. He did offer to remake it but made it sound like it was like a huge inconvenience (I refused). The bagels were average at best. the cinnamon buns were very dense. Overall a bad experience.
Charming and unpretentious, this classic diner offers a fantastic menu with generous portions, perfect for a cozy meal in New York.

Standard diner fare, but with gluten free options! The first thing the hostess asked us, was if anyone needed a gluten free menu. They have a dedicated fryers. My daughter enjoyed her meal.

The empanadas were gluten-free, which is great for my wife and I, and they were delicious. We both had tostones with different toppings on them, and we loved those as well. This was a great find.

Mythical place to eat a good burger in Times Square. They have a good menu of gluten-free products available. The decoration and rock atmosphere are certainly worth it and the burgers are very good, with prices in line with the city and the area. The desserts, although not cheap, are of a considerable size, so they can be shared. The attention and service are good. Mashed potatoes are recommended as a side dish rather than French fries, which are more normal.

I thought the breakfast sandwich was great, they definitely use fresh ingredients. The wife got an avocado toast and the egg was a bit undercooked, over easy is ok but the white wasn’t cooked and when broken it leaked a clearish liquid. They do have an assortment of gluten free baked goods but if you have celiac please note they are cross contaminated which they lady behind the counter told us.

According to the staff, the GF bagels are made with GF ingredients. However they warned me that they are rolled out and cooked on the same equipment as they make regular bagels. They have also changed the name to "low gluten" bagels.

Liberty Island's Undiscovered Treasure: Statue of Liberty Crown Café The **Crown Café** on Liberty Island is an excellent option if you're visiting the Statue of Liberty and want to find a terrific place to eat.
This café provides a nice dining experience with a range of delectable alternatives, and it is conveniently positioned close to one of the most famous monuments in the world.
The efficiency of the café is the first notable feature. I anticipated long lines because of the large number of guests, but the service was pleasantly prompt and efficient. In addition to making sure everything was stocked and clean, the staff was kind and accommodating.
For a tourist destination, the culinary choices is impressive. There is something for everyone, including hot dinners, traditional American favorites, and fresh salads and sandwiches.
Their **Statue of Liberty Burger** was delicious, juicy, and cooked to perfection when I tried it. They had generous portion sizes and delicious fries.
The yogurt parfaits and fresh fruit cups looked fantastic for a lighter choice. Additionally, they provide gluten-free and vegetarian options, which is advantageous.
The Crown Café's outside seating is among its nicest features. It's a special experience to eat while taking in views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. After all the sightseeing, it's a tranquil respite.
The food is of higher quality than you would find at a normal tourist café, and the prices are fair given the location. Crown Café is worth a visit whether you're in the mood for a full meal, a coffee break, or a quick snack.
The experience of visiting Liberty Island is enhanced by this café. It's a must-see when touring the Statue of Liberty because of the excellent cuisine, first-rate service, and incomparable location!

The husband and wife team running this place are incredibly knowledgeable about every single product they offer. You can tell they are passionate about quality and care deeply about their craft. The husband is an amazing gluten-free chef — his creations are truly next level! The ginger snap cookies made with young ginger are out of this world — perfectly spiced, soft, and packed with flavor. Their sourdough bread loaves are some of the best I’ve ever had, with that perfect balance of chewy and airy texture. And don’t even get me started on their pies — every bite is a taste of homemade perfection. If you’re looking for top-notch, thoughtfully crafted baked goods, 3x3 Kitchen is the place to go!

This may our new favorite restaurant in the NYC!! In a city that is increasingly vegan-friendly but that won’t stop assaulting us with deep-fried mushrooms and buffalo cauliflower, Spring Cafe Aspen sets themselves apart by serving up vegetable-forward dishes that are healthy, delicious, and generously portioned.
First, the health-conscious aspect. We came across them on a (very short) list of seed oil-free restaurants. Their website says they are free of “inflammatory oils.” Very little of their food is fried or highly processed. They use whole/sprouted grains in their wraps/bread, as well as having gluten-free options. It’s next to impossible to find restaurants in NYC or anywhere that accommodate a whole foods/plant-based diet, and even harder to find staff knowledgeable about the ingredients of their food. At Spring Cafe Aspen, the staff actually knows the ingredients of each dish and are very accommodating of questions and preferences, such as my wish to avoid coconut oil. If they don’t know the answer to a question, they have access to the ingredient lists for everything.
Next, the flavor of the food. Despite being low in oil and free of overly processed ingredients, their food is delicious! Our favorite item so far has been the cauliflower risotto (warm, comforting, creamy and rich; packed with vegetables and flavor). Our other favorite is the lentil meatballs and spaghetti (incredible meatballs, excellent sauce full of basil, and pasta you would have no idea is made with brown rice). We also enjoyed the superhero tofu burrito and the blueberry pancakes. The menu is full of great tidbits such as the epic cashew mac and cheese and the tempeh that is raw and locally sourced (Barry’s).
The portions - while other vegan/vegetarian restaurants in New York are serving up portions that get smaller every year, Spring Cafe Aspen actually provides generous portions that will nourish you without going overboard. (You won’t go home hungry after eating the cauliflower risotto!)
It’s also worth mentioning that the vibe of Spring Cafe Aspen is a little different from the typical hippie or hipster flair of many other vegan/vegetarian restaurants in the city. The vibe hovers somewhere between hot yoga studio and business school seminar. Also slightly confusing is the setup - they have all the makings of a sit-down restaurant right down to cloth napkins, but they do not truly have table service. You wait in line to order and then bring a number to your table. Makes it harder to enjoy a cup of coffee or spontaneous turmeric latte after lunch, but definitely not a dealbreaker. Lastly, we initially wondered why they didn’t take the plunge and turn fully vegan, but when we saw the gusto with which workout couples were demolishing egg white omelettes, we understood. Overall not a real issue for us since they make the food with such care that we aren’t really worried about any stray goat cheese getting into our food by mistake. And the attention to detail in their homemade condiments like vegan sour cream and even homemade nut milk rivals that of any vegan restaurant.
In conclusion, this is an epic brunch spot whipping up healthy food that manages to be both comforting and innovative; they have already become one of our regular spots.
This cozy spot offers a variety of options for everyone's tastes in a charming, eclectic setting perfect for a relaxed meal.

We were jetlagged and looking for a place nearby to eat and open before 9am. The Grey Dog ended up being a great choice. They served both breakfast and lunch options even though it was morning, and had a variety of options for various dietary restrictions (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free). All of our food was delicious. The coffee was strong. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts.
Pleasantly surprised
I love a good burger, but I have to have a gluten-free bun, and prefer sweet potato fries.
This place delivered.
Everything was fresh, gluten-free bun, toasted, sweet potato fries tasted fresh
10 out of 10 would recommend
Music was slightly loud, but I’d still come back
A mission-driven spot with a fantastic variety of bagels and options, it’s a must-visit for anyone in the area looking for deliciousness!
