The silver diner is a great restaurant, offering a variety of foods vegan as well as all gluten-free, many of choices. You can ask for breakfast, also can have lunch or dinner our during breakfast hours. Sebastian was our server today he has a great personality, quick server and very polite. I would recommend the silver diner if you’re in the Fairfax area.

Omg, I wish I had discovered this place sooner! I can’t eat gluten or dairy and this place was such a find for my restricted diet! As well as a great find for people with regular diets! I had a savory and sweet crepe and both were perfection!
Known for its amazing dishes and attention to dietary needs, this spot offers a delightful experience that keeps guests coming back for more.

Ate here for lunch with my husband and son. The food was delicious and service was superb as always. The second we sat down the service was ready to help me get something started for my son who was clearly hangry and on the verge of a toddler meltdown. She was knowledgeable about the menu and navigated his dairy allergy like a champion. He had the kids burger and seemed to enjoy it. I had the steak salad and it was DELICIOUS(made gluten free and Celiac safe). My husband got himself a burger and also said it was great(he is picky about his burgers and said it was cooked perfectly and he didn't have to scrape any condiments off like usual)

A little loud, but phenomenal spot. Tons of gluten free options. Fast service and extremely affordable. The app to order makes splitting checks way less awkward. I recommend if you are ordering for you and your partner, sit next to them if you are in a group. It makes it way easier to know what’s yours.
A must-visit spot in Fairfax for tasty, allergen-friendly treats that even non-restricted eaters rave about—perfect for all taste buds!

This place used to have gluten free Raman options but they have changed the menu and the only options are edamame and steamed rice. Do not eat here if you have gluten sensitivity or allergy! Sadly, our Valentine’s Day lunch was ruined for me!
Known for its unique finds and impressive selections, this spot stands out as a top pick in the area, despite a higher price tag.

This is the best Whole Foods in the Fairfax area. I called customer service before driving in the rain to inquire about a product. They quickly helped me confirm it was in stock. The store is clean with excellent selections I cannot find in other whole foods such as gluten free products and fancy nuts.
Quick stops here mean tasty toppings and loads of sauces, perfect for a satisfying lunch on the go.

The service at Costal Flats is amazing. They are very capable of accommodating people with gluten sensitivities. As a person with celiac, I have never had a problem here. I always enjoy the beef rib plate, with the fries swapped for mashed potatoes. I highly recommend Costal Flats.
Featuring a unique selection of ready-made pizzas and a standout crust option, it promises a fantastic experience for pizza lovers.

4 stars because before I became gluten free for health reasons, tony’s was my favorite pizza place. unfortunately it was the worst gluten free pizza i’ve ever had. the crust was crumbly and chewy, not crispy and fresh like their regular pizza crust. I couldn’t even get through 2 pieces. it was not good, please consider trying a new gf crust.
Enjoy a lively vibe with unique twists on classic dishes that'll keep you wanting to try more every visit!

Franco was great. Food was decent for a meal that I ate because it was food. He was able to confidently tell me what was gluten free and when he asked if everything was good and I said "I'm gravy" he said "you can't have gravy." I love that. He was very easily able to handle everything my party of 23 (I have a lot of friends, as I am very popular and likable) requested. Even the most ridiculous such as "1 slice of cheese on the side of the burger but slightly melted to perfection". Franco was amazing and definitely made our meal one I will remember for the next 20 minutes.
Incredible flavors await with customizable options, though the loud music might make your meal a bit hectic in the stunning interior.

The food was good but my daughter is very sensitive to gluten and we emphasized to keep it gluten free because of her allergies. We ordered panang curry and pad see ew which say they are gluten free, however, after eating my daughter's stomach started hurting. I think there may have been some sort of cross-contamination. I hope that this problem can be avoided in the future because when someone says something is gluten free that means there shouldn't be any gluten.
I’d always swing by this CAVA when I’m in the area but today was the last day I’ll ever go to this location.
I have celiac disease. To put it into simple words I CANNOT have gluten and my food cannot be contaminated with the slightest crumb of gluten or it leaves me very sick for up to two weeks.
I asked the woman who was making my order to please change her gloves before making my order since they’ve been contaminated by gluten (pita bread, pita chips, etc.), she gladly did so.
I got my food and was on my way. I then open my bowl and find a pita chip in my bowl, so I turn back around to go back to CAVA and get it replaced.
Long story short she was arguing with me saying it’s just a small piece and didn’t understand what the issue was. I tried to make her understand what my disease is and how cross contamination makes me sick but she took it as me being stuck up. She finally said she’d remake it, mumbled something in Spanish in an angry tone to her coworker, and handed it back to me with an upset face like I inconvenienced her.
Staff needs to be educated on what celiac disease is because feeling like a burden on staff for their own mistakes isn’t what should be happening. Training on allergies and cross-contamination should be done so as well to avoid this.
This is very upsetting.

This is absolutely one of our favorite spots! We have been going here for over a decade and will continue to do so for as long as we are in the area. The food is delicious, cocktails are great and they have a great beer and whiskey selection. Service is always superb even when busy. The kitchen is careful with food intolerance handling my Celiac (Gluten-free) and my son's Dairy allergy with ease. A must try is the Potato soup and the Shepherds pie. An honorable mention for the Cottage pie and their burgers!

In its "glory days" it was ranked in 2017 & 2020 as the "Best Food Allergy Champion" for their extensive allergy menus and their preparation for making food safely. These are proudly listed on their website too. In fact it used to be a safe go-to place for me as GD had many Gluten Free options. I could even get loaded fries that were safe! Due to the change in ownership the company as a whole has gotten rid of the dedicated fryers and significantly reduced the GF menu. Big bummer and crumby of the company to disregard so many of their customers. I've had several worsening experiences but this takes the cake. The grilled wings continuously come out charred and inedible. Spending $53 and 19 out of my 24 wings ordered were charred to a crisp...

Food always wonderful especially their creative fish specials! The grouper with Brussels and bacon pieces and creamed cream wonderful. Our waitress(Angel) very helpful in us ordering since my husband has a gluten allergy and he even had a great chocolate dessert available. Angel gave us excellent service! We will be back for sure!
My family and I visited this restaurant for dinner recently. I have a gluten allergy, so I checked to make sure there were GF options online before visiting. I also asked the hostesses if there was a GF menu upon arriving, and they provided me with the special menu to start. One might ask... why would I go to OG, of all places, if I have a gluten allergy? Because... sometimes family wants to go somewhere different, and sometimes I just don't want to have to search for something specific - it's a lot of work. And I can handle some level of cross contamination. If there's a GF menu, I'll try it. So we went. After about a half an hour after getting home, I became really sick - my stomach started to turn and I was in the bathroom for hours. Gluten exposure or cross-contamination in small amounts isn't going to kill me. It might give me a few hives on my cheeks, but usually I can withstand a little exposure. But if I eat an entire meal, I'm going to be sick. It's not something I want to experience if I can avoid it, and it's certainly not something I want to pay for. I checked the receipt and it only says CYO pasta/rigatoni (not sure if it would indicate GF). My husband (who eats gluten) also tried the leftover pasta we brought home (which is still miraculously in tact) and thinks it could either be a mix of GF and regular pasta because it varied in consistency or it's just all regular pasta.) If OG is reading this, please check your GF pasta and the process by which your servers and cooks are handling it or don't offer it. I'd hate for this to happen to someone else.
Other notes: We waited forever for service, no bread or water while waiting. Server finally comes out, no apology - we just go ahead and order everything. I'm careful to point to my GF menu and order GF rigatoni. We also put in an order for mixed drinks (gin/tonic and Manhattan). And then we wait forever, and still no bread or water or mixed drinks, which serve to tie over customers while they wait for the entree - or maybe slower service. We're beginning to think the free bread has gone by the wayside with covid cutbacks. Meanwhile, we see other servers bustling about back and forth, attending to their customers. None of them ever check on us, which I find odd - most restaurants, especially if short-staffed, will have a number of folks check on us or delivering food. Eventually our server comes out, bringing just about everything at once, including bread - but no mixed drinks. Server never really checks in after food delivery, which is standard. I notice that my rigatoni is miraculously in-tact and not falling apart, as is pretty normal for GF pasta, and think - wow, OG really has found some impressive GF pasta. About halfway through the meal, the server - the one time she visits our table once we get our meal - let's us know the bar is just now making our drinks. No apology, no explanation, nothing - just at our table as briefly as possible. We have experienced A LOT of clunky service since covid - and we've learned to go out to eat just not in a hurry, enjoying each other's company, and basically expecting delays. But we've met so many really kind, attentive, friendly servers that make the experience enjoyable. We did not get that at all. This server seemed really inexperienced, or just not great with people. Close to the end of our meal, we finally got our drinks. Whatever she brought me was basically water and fruit. After we finished our meal, we waited and waited and waited. Finally pushed the "call server" button on the screen/game device on the table (that was obnoxiously blinking red the entire time), because I wanted the drink taken off the check. She took the drink off, and we paid the check and left. On a positive note, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean.
A cozy spot serving a mix of traditional and unique breakfast options, perfect for those seeking healthier meals, though restrooms could use some TLC.

Absolutely delicious food! Could not recommend more!! I am also gluten free and dairy free and did not feel like I had to make a million special requests, there were so many options on the menu, I felt like I could eat “normal”.
Very upset I ordered the scrambled egg bowl with grilled chicken for breakfast. Since I am gluten free and it is the only item I order for breakfast every time at this location. However when I ordered it this time the eggs were NOT scrambled and were just egg whites! I tried to tell the employee but she said that’s how they always make it when I know that was a lie because I order it 3 times a week. The employee was rude and handled the situation extremely poorly by making up excuses that were not true.

I have visited this California Pizza location in Fairfax Corner several times, especially when my nephews come to town, and we always have a good time. Their pizzas are consistently delicious and less salty than other pizza restaurants. They also have healthier options like gluten-free pizzas and tasty salads. This makes it more appealing to go back and try. The service is decent, and the servers are friendly. The place is well-maintained and clean. Although parking is free, finding a spot on weekends can be challenging since Fairfax Corner is a popular hangout spot.

Good food all around. Affordable drinks
Excellent Tandoori chicken and they have very good masala chai. Also a great place for vegetarians and people with a gluten allergy!
The bhaigan bharta was the best our vegetarian friend has had in the area. They also have a gluten allergy and raved about the makki roti (corn roti) which surrounding Indian restaurants simply don't offer.
Beautiful location - probably the fanciest looking Indian restaurant in Fairfax. The kind of place that can host parties. There is also an individual room for special occasions that I believe can be reserved.
Yadav provided excellent service - thank you!

I enjoy the drinks and they always have creative seasonal options. It’s nice that they have gluten free options, but the sandwich bread is highly disappointing. For an upcharge, you get bread that is palm-sized (~2.5 x 3 inches) and has a cardboard-like texture. Tiny bread also means less fillings for a higher price. Banana in the photo for scale.

They didn’t have regular drip coffee, so I had to have a cold brew. A small cold brew came to $6 which seems a little much…the atmosphere was great and it was in a good location. I didn’t see any gluten free options, but there were dairy free options for the coffees. The atmosphere was the part I felt like would maybe bring me back.

Very cute hot pot place! The food was all very good. The individual hot pot bowls are great and the veggie broth is gluten free. They also have a sauce bar where the gluten free options are marked so you can spice up the broth if you want. The brisket meat was delicious and the service was excellent. The music was a bit too loud, hard to talk over. If you’re hard of hearing I wouldn’t recommend it.

This place puts shake shack to shame just by existing 😹 I've been eating out for about 2 decades. Moved from NYC to VA a couple years ago. And I've only ever tasted a big slap of disappointments, to the point I gave up on eating out. Then I found out I have celiac on top of that. One night my partner asked me if I want a burger. I whimpered "but gluten". He said this place has a gluten free bun. And OMFG🤤Okay, so not only is the food worth falling face flat on concrete for but the staff, are wholesome. Of course no Karen people are gonna like this place. They're allergic to respect and authenticity.
