Fun little vegan and gluten-free cafe. The staff working were friendly and kind.
It is a small place and the serves are to the smaller side, too. Maybe more of a snack and treat spot I’d say. We came for lunch and had a pizza and burger plus cake and smoothies and drinks and weren’t full after. The rainbow cake looks beautiful, but wasn’t too flavorful. Tiramisu was more enjoyable. Great alternative cafe if on the search for gluten-free and vegan or dairyfree sweat and savory treats!
Excellent place for people with celiac disease! Everything is gluten-free and delicious. We tried the pepperoni pizza, a baguette, a bacon braid, and a kind of vegan curry-filled bun. It's a small takeout place, although there are a couple of benches outside where you can eat. The guy is very friendly and speaks perfect English.
100% recommended, but we recommend getting there early because they're so fast.
Saved our trip! My son is gluten free, and Japan (largely) is not. It was very hard to find food for him, and other gluten free shops either weren’t really gluten free, or just tasted bad, had very small menus, or were closed when they said they were open. But Biossa had exactly what we needed. Good, fresh, delicious gluten free bread, muffins, baguettes, and croissants! That way we could pack and carry the breads around Tokyo, so my son could eat almost anywhere (by swapping out the provided breads with these gluten free ones). Game-changing. Thanks Biossa!
Had lunch here today, phenomenal curry. Our waitress informed us the cafe is closing for 2 months and will only serve coffee and gluten free cake going forward. No more meals.
It's a restaurant that specializes in vegan and gluten-free food, and it doesn't use rice flour, so it was very helpful. The stylish atmosphere was also nice. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced, so it was a good experience.
My friend is gluten-free, therefore she was really happy with the wide selection. I tried the sesame ramen, but it was really bland, and the little bit of soy meat tasted like nothing
I ate here no more than 20 minutes ago and it was wonderful. It’s difficult to find gluten free places in Japan, especially along with being vegan - This restaurant was lovely, the food was great and the staff are so kind, friendly and sweet.
We had the lunch plates (where you basically get to try a bit of everything, everywhere should do that am I right?!), donut, chocolate waffle and regular waffle - Everything was so nice, I’m vegetarian and my partner is a meat eater, we loved all of it but had opposite favourites to one another so it’s definitely worth a try!
Enjoy everyone!
Great tacos, with plenty of gluten free options. Just avoid the fried options if you have concerns with cross-contamination. Carne asada was especially good.
I enjoyed my green salad very much. The balance of all the green veggies, with the smallest pop of a red lettuce in it was excellent. The dressing was a outstanding pesto, which I almost wished for more of, however I was so glad to be able to taste and appreciate each of my vegetables individually, again harmony.
The tiramisu was vegan and gf, as were all the desserts. This dessert was great as a df gf customer.
What we would have liked more of, a few more gluten free options on the savory menu. The green salad was the solitary option. No soup or warm food was gluten free on the entire menu. Many vegan people would like this choice. I am celiac, and found your restaurant on Atly, a gluten free restaurant App. It would only enhance the menu to have 1 soup and 1 warm meal. This would raise the stars to 5 stars!🌟
Really loved this place! I’m a very sensitive coeliac but despite the small risk of cross contamination I was totally fine and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I even ordered a dessert crepe afterwards seeing as the ice cream was gf too!
Service was quick and the staff were lovely - I was informed that they had cleaned the plate they cook the crepes on but that they couldn’t guarantee it was safe - which was nice to see they understand the severity of coeliac and still try to accomodate! Safe to say it was well worth the slight risk
Excellent burgers and very interesting desserts, they also have gluten-free sandwiches so they can satisfy even those who need gluten-free. Service as always friendly, water included, prices slightly higher than average but worth it.
Poor client management and incorrect menu. How come the customer gets blamed for not reporting food allergy when ordered “gluten free” and got non gluten free pasta?
Probably one of my fav locations of theirs. Kura sushi chain is great! They have an allergen menu online that you can use to guide you and order directly from the screen. It can be a but difficult to navigate getting a table but its yummy and really affordable. There are also a lot of locations so it became a good backup option to have while travelling.
I found a natural cafe that serves gluten-free shortcake and other healthy sweets.
They also don't use meat, eggs, dairy products, refined sugar, or chemical seasonings.
Great for vegans too♪
They have a wide variety of coffees, so I recommend them to those looking for decaf coffee◡̈
And the prices are surprisingly cheap.
This area is close to Ginza, so I was prepared to pay a fair amount, but I was surprised at how cheap it was and it was easy on the wallet, so I was happy.
The interior of the store is made of glass and has a high ceiling, making it a very open and airy space.
Thank you for the meal♡
This is a great shop for gluten-free bread. Surprisingly, there aren't any, so I'm glad it's within my range of action. I love using it because it goes well with coffee.
.
A gem of a place especially for my gluten free peeps! I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the soy chicken that came with savory pancakes. I also ordered their gluten free citrus cream cake. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. I will be back to try more.
Ordered the lunch buffet. It is a system where you can choose whether you want one serving, refills, or unlimited. This time I only had one refill. For curry, you can get one refill of spinach, spicy foods, and many salads from the main dish. Coffee and rooibos tea are all you can drink. Tandoori chicken is limited to 2 pieces per serving, so it's plump, super delicious, and addictive. The udon noodles are smooth and chewy, filling and delicious. The curry is gluten-free, low-calorie, and has a nice spicy sweetness. It was delicious with steamy skinned potatoes. Payment can be made in advance at the ticket vending machine and PayPal is also available.
I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free.
They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free.
However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it.
If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.
I was curious about this shop!
There are six types of lightly roasted beans, and you can check out the smell and choose your favorite!
I chose iced coffee.
It had a good balance of sourness, refreshing aroma, and sweetness.
The matcha donuts were vegan and gluten-free.
They were filling and delicious!!
There were a lot of tourists, and the shop was bright and had a nice atmosphere.
I want to go again!!
Enjoyed a really wonderful first meal in Tokyo here. As a coeliac, I was nervous but the staff were understanding of my dietary requirements and I enjoyed really delicious meat/vegetables/rice. It was a bit pricey but made sense based on the high quality of ingredients. Would highly recommend 😁
I've been here for lunch several times. I really liked the sea urchin pasta here, which was also made into gluten-free noodles, but to be honest, it was bad this time. There were fewer sea urchins, and I felt that the amount was small. The female staff member also kept asking, "Would you like some water?" and interrupted the conversation. The dishes were cleaned up as soon as I finished eating, and it wasn't busy, so I stayed for about 40 minutes before heading home. Honestly, including the drinks, the lunch costs over 2,000 yen, and it's far from the station, so I don't think I'll go there again.
We had no reservation for a large group and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The sushi was exceptional. After 2 weeks in Japan, this was by far the best sushi we had it was spectacular. Cannot recommend enough. They bad gluten free soy sauce and a gluten free menu for me.
We wanted to try the mochi(next to this place) and since hungry and found availability we entered and tried their delicious gluten free pancakes with salad & the gluten-free vegan bento, even if we are not vegans 🥴 but I can say it was delicious!
A bit expensive but the personnel were nice, good food, cozy place mostly central and especially gluten-free!!!
I recommend the bento!
Thank you for preparing these goodies for us coeliacs! We are very happy to be able to taste it! 😄

Excellent burger, I was able to order lettuce instead of bread (gluten free) and I was also able to eat the fries without repercussions. One of the best wheat-free burgers in Japan so far!
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE COELIAC!!!
I ordered from here the other night (it was actually great food and super well priced) and then went to order again today and reiterated that I’m coeliac and it’s an allergy and the person said that even though it says ‘gluten-free’ it’s ALL IN THE SAME FRYER!!!! I was really disappointed because the person serving me the other night hadn’t told me this and I had a reaction and couldn’t figure out where I’d eaten gluten. Please educate your staff when someone is ordering gluten-free there is a high chance it is an ALLERGY and not by choice.

An organic cafe in Kichijoji.
A friend took me to the lunch buffet.
I was so satisfied that I ate it twice.
The lunch buffet is 1,550 yen from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The 10th, 20th and 30th of every month are Gluten Free Days.
The store also has miscellaneous goods, ingredients, cakes, etc., so you can enjoy just shopping.
There are also take-out lunch boxes available.
It gets crowded anyway. When ordering, I was told that the restaurant fills up quickly, so if you have to share a seat, please cooperate.
We saw many people coming with their families.
Thank you to my friend who introduced me.

Review for こめパンカフェ (Monday & Tuesday)
A really good gluten-free cafe serving rice flour baguette sandwiches. My chicken sandwich was delicious, and I really enjoyed the Satsuma potato pottage. The baguette was one of the best gluten-free baguettes I’ve ever had. It was crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. Next time I will try to come earlier in the day so I can buy cinnamon rolls.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also understood wheat and gluten sensitivities very well.
Irregular open times.
I love GyG. I love the food and the fact that it's gluten-free. But it's like a boyfriend that throws tantrums every now and then and suddenly closes without announcement.
What I HATE is the irregular schedule that GyG in Shibuya operates. On google is says closing is 21:30pm. I went there twice at 19:00, only to find out that it's closed and there was a sign at the door thay says "we're open until 20:00, last order is 19:30". I arrived there at 19:15. Already closed. This happened twice already and it's such a hassle travelling all the way to Shibuya only to find out that it's closed and Google says it should close at 21:30.
Go to GyG Harajuku. You can be sure they are open on the times they said they would be.
We ordered a double cheeseburger and a burger on lettuce, which you can add any toppings you want. It was delicious.

It saved me from going hungry one day when another gluten-free restaurant in the area was not yet open for lunch/dinner. It's not a big deal, but they served us great and the hot dog is passable (I recommend at least 2).
I tripped on the stairs and dropped a bit of my friend's food (3 fries and his dessert). They prepared more for us at no extra cost, hence the 5 stars.
According to my friend, the burger he ordered was very delicious and not expensive at all.
Thank you very much for the food!

This was not a Japanese dining experience, but this place is wild. The decor is incredible, creating the most elegant and rich Indian dining atmosphere. Each table has its own unique decorative features. Above all, like most Indian food, most of the menu items were gluten-free (I'm coeliac). The owner, who is also a tea merchant, gave us complimentary tea after the meal, served in an elegant teapot and cups.
We went here twice during our stay. Very good food, smoothies, coffee and tea. I love how they serve soup with their main dish. Really great in the morning. Highly recommend. Works for dietary restrictions like gluten, dairy and vegan.
This restaurant offers a low allergen option which was suitable for my girlfriend who is a coeliac. The staff explained to me how to select it from the tablet and they said that these were done in a separate environment to avoid cross contamination. The gluten containing options were very tasty too!
