GF pizza was SO good, you have the choice of any of their regular pizzas (thereβs like 50 to choose from). My partner enjoyed the regular crust :) and the staff were really nice!
Two evenings in a row. No problem with a baby. Gluten-free was no problem. The servers were very nice and friendly even though the place was completely packed. World-class pizza π

For celiacs, once informed by the restaurant staff, you will be guided, we recommend the homemade pasta made by the chef, everything was delicious, continue like this and develop your offer with Freeglutine by indicating it on the menu, the dishes with the small Freeglutine symbols , as found throughout Europe! Friendly and family atmosphere but a little noisy; long waiting times to eat when the restaurant is full, if you get a starter, count 2 hours for a meal.
Small spot with good gluten free pasta. Loved their fantasia al mare- perfect for two people to share. They had a packaged sliced bread option which was nice to dip in the oil.
Last night I had the pleasure of dining in this restaurant and I must say that the experience was truly excellent! I tasted two pizzas and a pasta dish, all strictly gluten-free, and I was surprised by the quality and flavor. The pizza dough was perfect, well-leavened and fragrant, while the dough had an excellent consistency, just like a traditional version.
The bill was absolutely in line with the market and with the rest of Italy, without excessive surprises. A truly excellent value for money.
Super recommended for those looking for a place with gluten-free options without sacrificing taste. I will definitely be back as soon as possible! πππ
After a few days that we were already in the center of La Spezia, we tried this wonderful restaurant, what can I say, we had such a good time that for the remaining days we always went there for dinner.
Kind, friendly and prepared staff also for gluten-free.
Excellent service, minimal waiting times and super quality of products.
The owner, Mrs. Patrizia is a very nice and helpful person.
In conclusion, a highly recommended restaurant, the best for us in La Spezia!!!
We hope to return soon!
Thank you!!!
The view was nice. Service was bad, we had to ask multiple times for a few things we ordered. Our food was not great, our least favorite meal while in Italy. They do offer gluten free pasta.
The restaurant is set in a steep hillside and is not recommended for guests with limited mobility.

We had a great experience here after looking for a long time for gluten free food. The gluten free pasta was delicious and they even brought out gluten free bread before the main dishes. A little overpriced for the portions but was worth it to finally find some gluten free pasta.
Farinata with various flavors all delicious, exceptional the one with onions.
Good quality pizzas, with gluten-free option also of good quality, something usually not easy to find.

I have been to Virata several times in person and just as many times I have ordered home delivery⦠the gluten-free pizza is always excellent, but last night you really outdid yourselves!! It was delicious, excellent ingredients, super dough, thank you!
The restaurant was very welcoming and friendly, the Christmas lunch was excellent, all fish from the starter to the first and second courses. And there was also lunch for Celiacs and very excellent πππ
Went last night, discreet Catalan, everything else is not worth the expense, improvised service, wait between courses for over 30 minutes, even though we were advised at the time of booking of the presence of a celiac person, we were not provided with any suitable product, for example bread or breadsticks.... I don't think I'll go back...
Quick and casual. Up the road and past the bustle, which was nice. Noise from the creek is calming. Had a couple gluten free options. The salad was big.
Iβve got many good things to say about this establishment. We ate here on our first night in Monterosso. All the servers we interacted with in this establishment were incredibly friendly, and understood English. Our group of eight all LOVED our food, including Cinque Terreβs iconic handmade Trofie al Pesto. My wife has celiacs disease, and they were able to accommodate her with grace and ease, serving a wonderful gluten-free pesto spaghetti (with other good gluten-free options available). Our group ordered the house wine (local from Monterosso) that we enjoyed so much, that we bought six more bottles to-go the following night. Stopping here is a MUST during your stay!
I was in the restaurant on a Monday evening, the place is very nice and well-kept, a mix of modern and ancient.
I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the place was almost full despite it being a weekday.
There is little to say about the food: simply delicious. My boyfriend has celiac disease and had no problems being able to choose what he wanted with the exception of one, maximum two dishes on the menu.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the staff, very kind and courteous, who as soon as we sat down brought us water, focaccia (I think they made it: delicious) and gluten-free bread.
We tried the lemon risotto with raw prawn (which I highly recommend), the roast beef, the chicken and the French fries; such as sweet tiramisu and rice cake. The portions are fair, neither large nor small, I really appreciated the balance between taste and quantity of the dishes.
I think the menu changes according to the season!
In total we spent β¬79, I recommend booking through TheFork as many times by paying via the app you can take advantage of some discounts.
A small, unassuming restaurant serving simple, homemade cuisine. A warm welcome, and they offer gluten-free options for both meals and dessert.
A very good restaurant, we highly recommend it!
Very nice and welcoming place, very good dishes and very kind and attentive staff.
Being celiac, they also have the option of making gluten-free dishes!β€οΈ
Before sitting down to eat I asked the service if it was possible that they had GLUTEN FREE food, they replied that they did have 2 types of tagliolini or spaghetti pasta available, we sat down we ordered the drink, and THEY DID NOT HAVE gluten free beer, then I order tagliolini and THEY DID NOT They had it, to finish I ask for bread AND THEY DID NOT have it either. If you are allergic or intolerant to gluten you will go hungry here....
Has gluten-free pasta! Such a sweet owner, brought the pasta bag out for me to check. Great food, great drinks, and a beautiful setting as well. Would absolutely go back the next time I'm in Lerici!
We went to the Palmaria restaurant because we were attracted by the AIC certification, since my boyfriend is celiac. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations, especially considering the level of the restaurant.
As soon as we arrived, the head waiter asked out loud "Who is intolerant?", and when we answered that it was celiac disease, he replied: "But what's the difference?". A question that, from a restaurant certified for gluten-free, truly surprised us.
We would have expected greater awareness and sensitivity on such an important topic for those living with an autoimmune disease.
The service itself was discreet, but with a cover charge of β¬5 per person, we would have expected different and more professional attention.
The place is certainly beautiful and has potential, but on some aspects - especially those related to sensitivity towards customers with dietary needs - there is still work to be done.
I am coeliac so have limited options to eat in Riomaggiore, and I saw that this place offered gluten free options. It was my last resort because I had found restaurants closed or sold out of their gluten free options. We saw online they closed at 8:30 and arrived at 7:45 hoping to either eat quickly or even get takeaway. While waiting we were told my the server he would be βjust 1 minuteβ. After 15 minutes of waiting we were told by the bartender that the kitchen was closing immediately. We were given no warning when we began to line up, nor when the waiter told us he would be one minute. We were also given no option within our time waiting to order take-away food, and when we asked to do so they said the kitchen had already closed. Thanks to this I didnβt even get to eat dinner on my last night in Cinque Terre.
The best restaurant in the entire area and especially in Monterosso. We especially recommend the Bronte pizza and the gluten-free gnocchi. Don't stop coming!!
This place is a true gem if you are looking for something different then the traditional dishes and/or if you want vegetarian/vegan/gluten free options. We had a lovely dinner with a super friendly server, definitely recommend!
This has been the best meal in Italy so far (and the priciest!). They are very aware of how to accommodate gluten allergies. Today's food porn: Osteria della Corte in La Spezia. Don't show up without a reservation, even for lunch. The servers are very kind, have the right sense of humor, and navigated us through our choices. It was so good, in fact, I need to share the entire list of our meal:
Purple prawn carpaccio with focaccia crumble and tomato (so good).
Spaghetti with oil, garlic, chili, prawns and burrata
Organic Fassona fillet with βcaffΓ¨ de Parisβ sauce (yellow curry?!)
Szechuan Pepper Ice Cream with Coconut Bonbon and Liquid Liquorice
Bronte pistachio semifreddo with lavender sauce
βCustardβ with almonds biscuits(amaretti), rum and chocolate
Also, this is the only place that actually offered us gf bread. It was just so nice to not have some generic, dry, bad tasting pre-manufactured effort. They confessed they didn't bake it themselves, but it was so good we asked for another basket which they obliged.
All this came to 155β¬, so that's pretty pricey, but we'd do it again. And again and again. I'd even say go out of your way to eat here even if La Spezia is not in your plan.
Small tourist-looking restaurant. Extremely helpful staff and owner, we needed gluten-free alternatives and they accommodated us perfectly. Fresh and above all delicious products, the excellent and abundant fish soup and the seafood tables with sea bass and scampi are simply exceptional. Highly recommended
We spent a weekend in Monterosso and had a dinner and a lunch here as well. It is one of the nicest restaurants we have ever been to in Italy and we have been living here for 6 years by now. Also the prices are totally reasonable (a whole fresh caught fish for 36β¬) A big plus is the gluten free pasta and bread option! Highly recommend!
Definitely the best pizza you can eat in La Spezia.
Excellent ingredients, generally associated with the tradition of his hometown.
Prices are on average consistent, apart from the increase on home delivery platforms.
The cooking of the two Napolis I ordered was discreet, with some burns and some slightly undercooked spots, for the rest I found a light, tasty dough with a well-developed gluten network; I repeat, it is impossible to find a product like this in this city, which is why it deserves 4 stars, probably in an area where the craftsmanship regarding this product was more common, I would have given it 3.
Overall it was a good lunch.

Manarola is a hidden gem! It was surprisingly not crowded during lunchtime, with only a few other groups. The drinks were refreshing and the food was delicious. They have a great selection of gluten-free options for travelers with celiac disease. It's a must-visit place and offers an equally amazing experience as the popular spots in town!
We went in to eat for lunch, not knowing the place we asked if they had gluten-free pizza... and to my immense amazement they said YES.... For me it was a joy.... Above all.... it was really very good!!!
And my husband's place too... top!!!!
I highly recommend it....πππ
We had a wonderful dinner, they finally also had gluten-free pizza, I wanted it so much. Mrs. Luisa welcomed us and made us sit, the staff including the friendly and kind chefs.
