Jersey was our waitress and absolutely was amazing. We came with 3 children and she did everything to make sure the whole family was happy. You can’t find great waitresses like her anymore but she goes over and beyond to ensure her customers are well taken care of.
The food was delicious and we had a wonderful experience. Our family is gluten free so going to a breakfast place with gluten free pancakes/ waffles is really a treat for us. Not only are they gluten free but they are so delicious to eat!
What a gem. Breakfast sandwich far exceeded my expectations. And they have gluten free bread that is good. Wine and beer hall with cool patio out front. I'll be back.
Wow! I have many words about how awesome The Crust is. My husband and I do not get to eat pizza often and pizza is my favorite. We have a gluten and dairy allergy so as you can imagine it is hard to find a place that accommodates both until we found The Crust. From the friendly staff to the amazing pizza we give this place a 5 out of 5. They even added a note to be extra cautious with our allergies. If you haven't been here before check them out and get treated like family.
We happened upon this amazing pizza when we were downtown while on a recent trip to Charlotte. Our daughter is gluten free and it was by far the best pizza we have ever had. The GF crust is made in house and was fabulous. Highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a great GF pizza.
They have a variety of options that are extremely safe for those that have celiac disease. A majority of items are already gluten free or can be made gluten free! The fryers are 100% gluten free along with a spare pizza oven. Any of the pizzas can be made gluten free. It is prepared on cauliflower crust! All pastas can be made gluten free and are prepared in separate boiler to maintain no cross-contamination. I was there for a girls night, so we just ordered small dishes to share. I’d love to try the pasta and pizza. The restaurant in itself is extremely nice.

Brought a group of friends from out of town (6 of us total). Service wasnt terrible but our server was very absent and had to be flagged down and she seemed not to care or want to be there. 2 people asked for no ice in their water and she said "I'll just do no ice for all 6" when that's not what we wanted. She brought the waters then took 4 peoples cocktail orders and then walked away. We watched our drinks sit at the bar for so long when she was nowhere to be found. Someone else had to bring the other 2 people their cocktails when she finally let them order, someone else also brought our second round of drinks to us instead of her. Please keep in mind it was not busy at all when we went- less than 8 tables of people in the whole place. Our other friends (group of 7) at another table arrived after us, got their food before we were even able to order ours. Our server incorrectly told us there was gluten in the items we wanted to order off of the gluten free menu.
I was so excited to share this place with friends and we left very disappointed in the service we received. Our other group of friends received excellent service.
Additionally, we had a question as we were leaving about the parking at the designated garage for this area and the hostess said shes new and didn't know but also wouldn't ask anyone standing around up front. There appears to be several people working here that just can't be bothered to do anything more than the absolute bare minimum, even on a slow day.
In all of our previous visits service has been a bit lack luster but not this bad and the food has been good but not great enough to justify the poor service
On a road trip with my family 1/3 of us are gluten free due to celiac. We found this place on find me gluten free app and it’s the best pizza I’ve had in a minute. They had extensive gluten free options and everything we tried was delicious! Everyone was so nice and the place was clean too. I wish we lived closer because we’d be regulars!! The only way it could’ve been better is if they had more seating inside, but it was all amazing
GLUTEN FREE REVIEW:
Absolutely amazing experience with endless Gluten Free options available - both appetizers came with gluten free bread. All pizzas can be made on gluten free crust and pastas can be made with gluten free noodles! Bonus that there is no up charge for gluten free.
The flavors of everything were amazing and the atmosphere was great! Our favorites were the mussels and whipped ricotta. Heads up that the chopped salad was spicy!! We didn’t get to try a gluten free pasta but will be back to do so!
Honestly, our waitress was not great. We didn't make it easy for her, with a large group, but she tried to charge us for several drinks more than once, forgot to bring out a gluten-free pizza and forgot one meal completely. We were joking about it when she took the order - it would have been easier had she taken notes of our order!
Had a delicious burger and slaw for lunch. They offer gluten free buns. They do not have a dedicated fryer, so no fried foods are safe. Gluten free sushi is marked on the menu or you can crate your own.
Staple restaurant in the SouthPark area. Always appreciate the kindness of the team throughout the dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and helpful when advising about the gluten-free options. There are plenty of options — but it is best to ask for guidance/confirmation. We tried the watermelon and tomato salad this visit and it was GREAT! We also enjoyed the meat and cheese tray!

Legion Brewing South Park location has a whole gluten free menu. The southwest salad and bbq sandwich are my favorites for lunch + dinner. They make an amazing monte cristo & always have a lot of local ingredients. We bring all guests who come in town here because of the variety of options and knowledgeable staff.

I always love a Celiac -friendly sit down meal in an airport! Summerhouse is great with gluten-free needs and precautions.
I usually get the chicken tacos with chips instead of tortillas, and I ask for a bowl and extra guacamole to help with assembly. Pictures here are how it comes and how I assemble it.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Super grateful for a real meal between flights instead of just snacks! Highly recommend if you're in the Charlotte Airport and need a gluten free meal.
Service was 100% (Kaitlyn C.!)
Drinks were on point as well. Hot fresh food. Vegan and gluten free options. Server asked us while we ordered drinks if we had any allergies or dietary restrictions. Our first time and surely not our last!
this place is AMAZING!! their gluten free options are extensive, and the gluten free bun is so soft and delicious. the parmesan truffle fries are to die for, and the milkshakes are out of this world. best burger i’ve had in a very long time. salads are huge and so yummy. service was great, aaliyah did amazing! 10/10 recommend!
Girls weekend fun and everyone working was very accommodating for our rambunctious group!
Happy to come back, no matter the size of party
Everything I ate was wonderful, pretty sure everyone in the party was happy with their food as well
Berry Sangria was yummy
Zucchini Fritte was perfect especially the dipping sauce - even picky eaters tried this for the first time and liked it =)
I tried the spinach artichoke dip, amazing! Tried it on my Zucchini Fritte ...wow, definitely suggest trying those two together
Tried the calamari with marinara, don't forget to squeeze the lemon juice on the calamari....brings up the flavor a notch =)
My entree was the Chicken Picatta with Gluten-free Penne pasta in place of the spaghetti it comes with. So much flavor, chicken was tender and could cut with my fork, pasta was cooked perfect- especially for Gluten-free pasta 👍🏼👏🏼
I tried a bite off my friend's Chicken Parmigiano- amazing!
They also graciously give a military discount, which I always appreciate.
We were also there after closing time and they weren't trying to push us out the door =)
300 East, located in Charlotte’s Dilworth neighborhood, is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving American-Eclectic cuisine for over three decades. The warm and quirky atmosphere, set in a charming historic building, adds to its appeal. The menu features creative sandwiches, salads, and entrées, with options for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Notable dishes include the sweet potato ravioli and the grilled hanger steak. The restaurant is also known for its Sunday brunch and delectable desserts. Service is friendly and casual, contributing to a welcoming dining experience.
Looking for a specialty burger and pub restaurant with indoor outdoor seating and great service in an exclusive area in Ballantyne? Boom. Recommend the signature items but you can build your own too! From pancake covered bacon to gluten free or meat optional items, get the Angus beef or Buffalo burgers for outstanding deliciousness. The banana pudding is Devine, the fried pickles are full slices with perfect breading and the sliders are yummilicious. Expect great service and to wait for a table since its always busy.
When Modd opened a few years ago in Steele Creek our family was there all the time. Especially because of the gluten free options. Over the past few years the customer service and quality has really changed. Still we gave them some grace, and ebbed/flowed hoping for better. Yesterday was absolutely the last time we will be there. When we arrived the area that has the toppings for the pizza was A MESS - a complete disaster. Tomato sauce with full of so much cheese in the bin. Every item full of other items - black olives full of onions etc. The staff was very unprofessional. Very slow service (still we always give grace - to the guy making our pizza- maybe his first day - we were kind to him) .. still craving pizza and thankful for the gluten free option. WE ALL FELT sick after eating at this location. The common thing we all ate was the cheese. Please don’t go to the Steele Creek location - ain’t no body got time for filth and queaz 🤢 . (And the manager was there - in the back)… not anywhere near the front. We know who he is because in the past he has introduced himself to us. This place is gross. I mean really gross.
Amazing gluten free options. Highly sensitive to cross contact and I feel great about eating here. Food is super fresh and delicious. Items are clearly marked on the menu and staff changes gloves and takes care to make sure everything is gf for your order. Portions are generous and price point is reasonable.
Breakfast and Quirky collided head-on in a purposeful mix of personality and good food. Two steps into this little place had me wondering if I was transported to a restaurant in Berkeley, CA - with its psychedelic color pallet and food choices peppered with all the gluten-frees, and fad food fixings you could come up with. Definitely worth the visit.
I ordered a grass-fed burger with a gluten-free bun, and it was really disappointing. The burger patty was incredibly tough — probably the toughest I’ve ever had — and the bun was rock solid. Everything was super dry and just not enjoyable. For nearly $20, I expected a lot better. The atmosphere was fine, and the service was decent, but I won’t be coming back.
We really enjoyed our experience here, great food, beautiful atmosphere, and really friendly staff! Love that they have a gluten free menu & are so knowledgeable of cross contamination. Really put my mind at ease.

Loved 800 degrees. The Gluten Free (Cauliflower) pizza was AMAZING....
Ms.Lynda was the nicest server and when we come back we will see if she is working 🙂.
*Will definitely visit again
I’m ecstatic to have found this place! I have celiac disease and it is incredibly hard to find anywhere to eat out when I don’t bring a lunch to work. The menu here has an impressively large variety of gluten free items to choose from as well as gluten free beers & ciders.
Eating gluten free meals means food that is usually mediocre at best. Not here. I got the meatloaf, broccoli casserole and a loaded baked potato; it was all wildly delicious. Meatloaf was savory, juicy, perfectly crispy on the edges and by far the best meatloaf I’ve ever eaten. The broccoli casserole tasted like it came straight out of my grandmothers kitchen and topped with lovely little gluten free crispy onions. Even the baked potato was on point with its perfectly thick, crispy bacon.
Staff was very friendly with quick service and were more than happy to make accommodations to food requests.
I can’t wait to come back!
They offer a separate GF menu if you ask. Make sure you order from it and verify that it is GF upon delivery. The dishes look almost identical except they cannot use the pre-marinated meat for the dishes. They have to use fresh ground meat for the GF meals. Some staff unseasoned, others do not. Just always verify when you receive your meal!
So this was my 2nd time visiting. My first time was great, but this 2nd time was..to put it nicely, less great. My partner & I decided to grab lunch here because I knew they had gluten free options which my partner needs. To start our server was frazzed and all over the place which seemed weird since we were 1 of 5 tables there. We expressed my partner’s gluten & dairy allergy & ordered the skewers with the greek yogurt on the side so that I could eat it. However the skewers came out without the yogurt to which I had to ask a different server who brought it out to being me some & for some reason my server charged me extra for it… My soup was barely warm and we just didn’t enjoy our time there, which is unfortunate since I had a good experience the first time. I hope this was just a fluke but I won’t know unless I go again.
The service here was the absolute worst. We ordered chips and queso and it went to the wrong table and when we asked they said it was coming. We literally never got them in spite of asking another time. Then we got a taco with a flour tortilla in spite of telling them it was needed to be gluten free and specifying only corn tortillas. It was sent back and then 10 min later it came back with 2 flour tortillas. My poor daughter had no meal since they couldn’t get it right. I never got my tea drink as well. We’ve never had such slow and poor service. We asked for the manager and she never came over to see us. The waiter apologized and said the food items were taken off the bill to which we said that’s good since they either never came to the table or were inedible. Will never go here again!!!
A much heralded Charlotte restaurant, not sure why it took me so long to visit — truthfully, I think I was jaded as diners would typically share “must try” dishes that seemed to be delicious but not gluten-free friendly.
Well, this meal was a reminder that I should reach out to a restaurant instead of only reviewing a menu. We were impressed by the team’s awareness of the dishes — and what was (or was not) gluten-free safe. It was quite easy to order an entire meal without much change. Dessert was the least interesting for me — an adaptation to the banana pudding was offered, but dinner was so satisfying that this was not a needed cap to the night.
We started with the chips and onion dip — though the chips were very over salted —this is a must try dish for sure! We also ordered the summer salad which was a collection of endive, apples, radishes — this was fine, but nothing worth a review/recommendation. The table also ordered the bread with beet butter — not gluten-free, but the table said it was delicious. For dinner we shared many plates: roasted chicken, wagyu pot roast, mushrooms risotto, roasted broccoli, and roasted carrots. Everything was delicious—a great combination of robust flavors and fresh ingredients.
It is worth the note that this is not a reasonably priced meal — taking out the bottle of wine, this meal was easily $50-$75 a person across the split plates — but the dishes were decent sizes, the composition was memorable, and overall this is a meal that felt worth the price.
I would not consider this an allergy-friendly restaurant. Quite frankly, if a kitchen and restaurant do not care about the health of their customers, what are they even doing cooking food for other people?
I ordered the chicken avocado wrap with a gluten-free tortilla (which I paid extra for) and asked for no cheese. I also ordered a grilled cheese with fries and ketchup. I was a little taken aback when I realized my wrap wasn’t labeled gluten-free, but I tried to keep an open mind. Then I noticed it had cheese in it as well.
I called the restaurant to confirm whether it was a gluten-free wrap. The person on the phone just tried to describe it to me, but honestly, there was no way to tell. I was left with food that I couldn’t be sure was safe for me to eat.
The grilled cheese we ordered was burned, but I didn’t even bother bringing it up because it was already clear they had no process for handling issues with orders and didn’t consider it important enough to escalate to a manager. I did mention that they forgot the ketchup; however, the woman on the phone decided to blame the Grubhub driver for that.
Explain to me how it’s the driver’s job to pick up ketchup, napkins, and silverware. They work for Grubhub—they’re a delivery driver. Why should they be doing the restaurant’s job? Plus, the bag was stapled shut when it arrived. Was he supposed to bring those items in his pockets?
Disappointing and not like I remember it when it was the Dilworth location.

My first one star review. I was so excited for a gluten-free burger stop on the way home. Alas, the burger was forgotten. Partially my fault for not checking, I get it. I live 30 minutes away. The only solution was to drive back for a remake or a refund. Lame. Another option should be available.
Amazing! Great food. Good variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. Not much for the gluten free crowd but still a great experience. Will definitely be back.
This is a great Quick serve Indian restaurant. I have been several times and I have turned on several others also who all agree they are a really good option for lunch or dinner.
The rice selection is awesome and even includes a gluten free option. My favorites are Ghee and Biryani.
The meat selections are out of this world and all very good. Indian food is rich and flavorful automatically and they dont dusappoint. My favorites are: Butter Chicken over Ghee, Mutton over Biryani, and Nilgiri Chicken over Ghee. I think there is something there for any taste buds though. 😋.
The flaky Parotta is small but very yummy. Its always freshly made and warm and it pairs so well with every dish so just get it.
I also love how when you go in person, they ask to top every dish with cilantro and/ or chopped onions.. This is a nice additive to the dish and I hope they add this option to Doordash to select for those not going in person.
It is very clean and they take pride in everything they do so I appreciate their effort and dedication to make you enjoy it. They also offer in person a small cup of savory yogurt raita sauce with each entree that again should also be included as an option when ordering online .
They provide free water, but there are no soft drinks or sweet tea available. This would entice those of us to eat there more frequently or eat inside, just FYI.
Sometimes the service does move sloww, but it's because people are I'm sampling mode and they dont have help to keep the line moving, so keep that in mind. I also recommend they invest in To-go utensils especially for to go orders, because open utensils today isnt necessarily the best move 😉.
Overall, I am pleased with the start of this business and I will continue recommend them to folks in and outside of this area . I pray the quality and effort put into the food and prices stay the same.
Good job Kolapasi! Keep up the good work.
The food here is amazing. I went in January for my birthday!
The Ube Pancakes did not disappoint & the short rib hash was sooo good. My friend who has celiac got the oreo pancakes and my other friend got the shrimp and grits. We were all in love and full!
I do think they need more space, I felt cramped and like I was in the staff’s way even though I was seated. Besides that, I want to go back soon bc it’s just that good!
