Absolutely everything on the menu is gluten free except the empanadas! They can make those in flautas form though! It’s so nice to go to a restaurant and be able to order almost everything on the menu!

I really enjoyed the food . I had the souffle, a po' boy, potato salad, and the lemon cake. Everything was delicious. I was full for hours . Thank goodness everything is gluten-free and vegan, being that I am gluten and dairy intolerant. It was a good feeling knowing that my food was safe and that I would not have any allergic reactions. Our server Noel was a joy. Very friendly.

The Gluten Free pizza is phenomenal. Probably top 3 in Charlotte, if not, number 1. With that being said, the service was very bad. We arrived at 5:15 and the hostess was very nice and seated us and made room for our baby. About a minute later, our server, Anthony came to the table. He asked if we wanted anything to drink and we just said water and he said he would come back. Well 25 minutes later my wife had to get up to find him so that we could order. Once we placed the order it took another 30 for the food to come out. We chose to eat before 5:30 since we were out with a baby and it was empty at that time. We never got an apology or anything. You can’t deny how great the pizza is, but the service was terrible this time.

Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free on a separate surface. They also have a full bar. Perfect for brunch! 3 Charlotte locations! We got the Pineapple upside down pancakes and the Spuds Deluxe!

They have a variety of options that are extremely safe for those that have celiac disease. A majority of items are already gluten free or can be made gluten free! The fryers are 100% gluten free along with a spare pizza oven. Any of the pizzas can be made gluten free. It is prepared on cauliflower crust! All pastas can be made gluten free and are prepared in separate boiler to maintain no cross-contamination. I was there for a girls night, so we just ordered small dishes to share. I’d love to try the pasta and pizza. The restaurant in itself is extremely nice.

The food here is very good for airport food. There were burgers, sandwiches and other foods. Gluten free bread offered but they do share toaster with other breads. All food cooked on the same cook top as well so cross contamination is all but guaranteed. Not great for those sensitive celiacs.

Wow!!! What a place!!! So many delicious options on the menu- we had a hard time deciding!!! Luckily, everything comes with a side of 3 pancakes (which are delicious!!) we also enjoyed coffee, chocolate milk, gluten free waffles, Nutella crepes, an Irish omelette, scrambled and sunny-side up eggs, and sausage links. Great choice for a breakfast joint!! Would return!!

Enjoyed a brunch break with my family of 6. I tried the Louisiana Quiche with a side of potatoes. The quiche was good as far as seasoning and flavor but the pastry part of the quiche was overcooked and therefore hard to eat with a fork. The hot chocolate was great! It’s my go-to hot drink. I give it and our service 5/5. Although it’s a 45-minute drive from Kannapolis, I’ll happily make it again; especially since I’m the passenger while my husband drives ;) The menu has so many options, I love trying different things! I don’t mind paying for good quality, feel-good food that’s prepped fresh. I’m always satisfied. If I find something that I don’t prefer, I just order something different next time. So many choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian.

Really nice place to get breakfast if you are staying at the hotel next door. Really friendly service, always helpful and the food is really tasty. Gluten-free bread is also available for some of the dishes.

The lady who took my order was very helpful, kind, and efficient. However, when I got the pizza home I realized that the dough on the gluten free crust was raw! I have been gluten free for a long time, so I do know there will be a difference in the texture, but this was like a sticky paste, just like gluten free dough before it has been cooked. The pizza is also expensive. 3 pizzas cost me $60.

Staple restaurant in the SouthPark area. Always appreciate the kindness of the team throughout the dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and helpful when advising about the gluten-free options. There are plenty of options — but it is best to ask for guidance/confirmation. We tried the watermelon and tomato salad this visit and it was GREAT! We also enjoyed the meat and cheese tray!

I always love a Celiac -friendly sit down meal in an airport! Summerhouse is great with gluten-free needs and precautions. I usually get the chicken tacos with chips instead of tortillas, and I ask for a bowl and extra guacamole to help with assembly. Pictures here are how it comes and how I assemble it. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Super grateful for a real meal between flights instead of just snacks! Highly recommend if you're in the Charlotte Airport and need a gluten free meal.

I was told that a bread was gluten free that they used on a burger, that it was from a bakery in town. I looked up the bakery and found that they are not really gluten free. Then when I asked further, found out it's sourdough with gluten free starter (I had already had the sandwich with what I thought was gluten free bread). I was told by the manager that if I have celiac I shouldn't eat it but if I'm sensitive to gluten it's ok. That doesn't make sense if indeed there is white flour in the bread. I am sensitive to gluten and have to go to the emergency room if I eat gluten. If the item is not gluten free, please don't tell people it's gluten free. By definition gluten free is wheat (including all purpose), rye and barley. They could not tell me what the ingredients are in the bread. Please see the following I got off the internet about "gluten starter": "While the natural bacteria may make it easier to digest, it doesn't render it gluten-free. If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, be sure that you use gluten-free flour for the starter and gluten-free ingredients for all of the baked goods you plan to use your gluten-free sourdough starter in." I took an gluten free enzyme pill when I got home. Hope it works. It didn't work. I am sensitive to gluten and got very sick. Had to be in the emergency room. BEWARE GLUTEN SENSITIVE OR CELIAC, THEY ARE CLAIMING A BREAD IS GLUTEN FREE AND IT IS NOT. THE MANAGER WOULDN"T EVEN LISTEN TO ME

I was so excited to try this “Instagram-famous place” for lunch and drove all the way from SC to try their chef’s special pastries. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed with everything I ordered, including the regular latte, quiche Lorraine, and gluten-free passion fruit mousse cake. I spent $30 on these three items and ended up throwing everything away. I noticed other guests doing the same or just leaving their pastries untouched. I do not recommend this place at all—avoid it by all means! The food is simply not tasty!

TLDR: best gluten free waffle I've had in years!! --- I randomly found this place on Google while visiting the area and decided to give it a try when I saw they had gluten friendly pancakes, waffles, AND french toast available. Most places I see only have 1 on a good day, so this was a refreshing surprise. Now 9 times out of 10, when I get gluten friendly pancakes at a restaurant, the pancakes I make at home are better by a mile (not because I am a chef, but because what is served is basic at best). The waffle here was flavorful, as opposed the syrup on chalk experience I've come to expect since dropping the gluten. Side note: they serve maple syrup instead of the fake stuff too...another pleasant surprise. I'll definitely be making my way back to the chain to get another and try the other two! Service was also fast and attentive, food came out hot, etc. 10s across the board 👏🏾👏🏾

Pros : - the cake is phenomenal - I don’t like cake at all and I love their cakes - the strawberry filling is perfection - pricing for cakes is competitive to other bakeries - the store smells amazing when you walk in Cons : - can’t order cakes in person at the store… can only be ordered online. Was told this was to prevent the small store area from getting crowded during Covid … I get safety precautions but I was told this in July 2024. Maybe it’s time to update your procedures. I was ordering cakes for my wedding and wanted to make sure the frosting colors were right bc sometimes colors on a screen or in a pic look different - was told to move along and order online and looking at pictures of the colors and an online order was my only option. - they don’t offer delivery - they don’t offer tiered cakes - I ordered the horizontal palette designs with my wedding colors and the cakes I picked up the day before the event had vertical designs on them. I had already had such a bad experience with customer service over multiple in person visits and over the phone that I chose not to say anything bc ultimately no one but me would know/care at the wedding and I didn’t have any time to wait for them to try and fix it or come back later. - ordering/paying in store is chaotic - there is no structure or direction for forming a line or helping customers in an orderly manner - no gluten free options

Amazing service. Get to that in a moment. Had dinner with 14 colleagues. We ordered several apps and soups. All delicious. Our dishes arranged from vegetarian to gluten-free to pad Thai to shrimp, chicken and beef. I originally ordered the firecracker shrimp. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The dish came out lukewarm, shrimp a bit tough and it lacked flavor. Our server, Upon sharing with our server, Trinity, she immediately removed the dish. I replaced it with spicy chicken. It was hot and packed with flavor. Trinity offered exceptional service, taking care of our group. We never had to ask for refills. She was engaging and we enjoyed her wonderful personality. Well done, Trinity!

Great friendly atmosphere, largely clean, and spacious. Also, there is ample parking in the lot and also on the street in back of the facility. The food is very good 👍. However, the portions are small. Therefore, this is not the place to go if you are very hungry. Gluten free selections are available but limited. Service staff aims to please so if you are a finicky lactose and gluten intolerant person like me, they will accommodate and build sandwiches to your liking.

This product checks all our boxes! The customer service was above and beyond our expectations. Two steps into this little place had me wondering if I was transported to a restaurant in Berkeley, CA - with its psychedelic color pallet and food choices peppered with all the gluten-frees, and fad food fixings you could come up with. Hadn't been to Uncle Maddios in a while. I built my own pizza for lunch on a wheat crust. As always there's fresh veggies gluten free crust & other healthy options. I don't like the fact that u can't call in an order for lunch. Management said the reason is so they can focus on the customers in the store. I agree but think they should accept call in orders b/c everyone else does it & some people don't have an hour to eat.

The lemon bar was out of this world. Gluten free, amazing flavor, highly recommend! On the other hand, the macaron was very dry and crunchy. It crumbled the second I took a bite. Though the flavor was good, the fact that it was dry and crumbly made me give less stars.

The peoples market display’s an unfortunate amount of negligence for their customers. After clearly outlining a gluten allergy for my girlfriend (she’s celiac) they assured us everything would be good to go. Clearly since i’m writing this review, it was not. They used a normal wrap despite clearly being told not to, as indicated on the receipt. She’s now incredibly sick and we may need to go to the hospital. They also overcharged us nearly $10 for our food, giving the prices on their menu were correct. Never again.

My wife and I joined friends at Ruby Sunshine for brunch and we're so happy we did. The vibe is great, the menu is stacked, the options are limitless, and they have a mimosa flight...need I say more?! Whether you like 🍳 egg dishes, 🌮 tacos, benedicts, 🧇 waffles, 🥞 pancakes, biscuits, or anything else, they have you covered. If you have food allergies, they also have a vegan and gluten free menu that makes this such an inclusive spot. The servers are also so accommodating. This location also has ♿ handicap accessible 🅿️ parking, seating, and 🚻 restrooms.

A much heralded Charlotte restaurant, not sure why it took me so long to visit — truthfully, I think I was jaded as diners would typically share “must try” dishes that seemed to be delicious but not gluten-free friendly. Well, this meal was a reminder that I should reach out to a restaurant instead of only reviewing a menu. We were impressed by the team’s awareness of the dishes — and what was (or was not) gluten-free safe. It was quite easy to order an entire meal without much change. Dessert was the least interesting for me — an adaptation to the banana pudding was offered, but dinner was so satisfying that this was not a needed cap to the night. We started with the chips and onion dip — though the chips were very over salted —this is a must try dish for sure! We also ordered the summer salad which was a collection of endive, apples, radishes — this was fine, but nothing worth a review/recommendation. The table also ordered the bread with beet butter — not gluten-free, but the table said it was delicious. For dinner we shared many plates: roasted chicken, wagyu pot roast, mushrooms risotto, roasted broccoli, and roasted carrots. Everything was delicious—a great combination of robust flavors and fresh ingredients. It is worth the note that this is not a reasonably priced meal — taking out the bottle of wine, this meal was easily $50-$75 a person across the split plates — but the dishes were decent sizes, the composition was memorable, and overall this is a meal that felt worth the price.

Our family loves Toast (ok I know they changed the name but it’s always Toast to us). Very fresh ingredients and great food. Staff is awesome. My one piece of advice though to fellow wheat-avoiders: don’t get the GF stuff. I just avoid anything bread/dough/batter based. So I order eggs, salads, breakfast stuff. I don’t know for sure but my suspicion is their GF stuff is mostly based on cheap corn and/or potato starches and flours, which may make them GF, but make the quality poor, and frankly wreak almost as much havoc with many people’s digestion as wheat does (unless of course you’re actually celiac). Would be great if they stepped up their GF game! But that’s a minor inconvenience. Wonderful spot!

I’m gluten free and they handle it perfectly. When one of my party members ordered a regular and everybody else ordered gluten free they came out and made sure there wasn’t a typo. Then when we were handed our food they put the gluten free and regular in different bags and told us. Best Customer Service EVER.

These guys are great! First, we had a 2 hour flight delay and were a little frazzled. We decided to try them even the there was alarge line. Totally worth it! My wife forgot to specify gluten free bum and we didn't realize our mistake until after 5 minutes. When I let them know they jumped all over it to make sure my wife was safe. The food was great!! I really appreciate the extra effort they made for usa Also, dedicated fryer for their delicious smash fries! Really helped turn a bad situation around for us!
