This is a great place to eat. I was curious about for their fried oyster mushrooms and they were other worldly delicious. We shares with our tablemates and everyone enjoyed them. We had a small bowl of their vegan posole which was very flavorful and satisfying and filing. We shared their falafel wrap which was packed with great fillings and three or four falafel balls. Also very satisfying.
My complaint may be aged based as I'm older, and also I also used to work in the food industry. This is a counter service restaurant. You get everything yourself, they bring out the food. Explain to me why at the end of purchase, there is an automatic 18% tip? You can change it, they suggest 20% or 25% (FOR NO SERVICE) and right below a button to customize or offer no tip. I am not going to be a shmuck and not tip at all, but starting at 18%? I gave 10%.
I've watched the industry deal with wage issues. I know the margins are thin for restaurants. Maybe it is hitting me more since we just came back from Spain, where there is a different price for sit down verses bar and no tipping (and a whole different culture of how we care for people). But assuming 18% or more tip for counter service is audacious.
Will I recommend this place? Yes. This is a great addition to vegan/vegetarian and gluten free food scene in Denver. They also offer chicken and fish and pork for the meat eaters. It's cool and hip and welcoming. The food is tasty. Try it.
Experience a fun twist on dining with Latin-inspired small plates and a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates unique flavors and dietary options.

This place is incredible, especially for someone who has celiac. The food was delicious, some of the sauces were so surprising it really made the dish. There are plenty of GF of options to try.

I have been coming here for years and absolutely love the community. Delicious food, gluten free donuts, and so many drink options that I can hardly ever just pick one. The rotating juices and mushroom cacao are my current go-toโs

Safe for celiacs! They have separate prep areas for their gluten and GF foods, dedicated pans, and make everything from scratch. They have a shared fryer, but serve corn tortilla chips that are made off site in a GF facility.
Vegan friendly with unique dishes, a fun atmosphere and even a dog-friendly outdoor patio that's gratifying for everyone, even non-vegans!

They have a gluten free menu you can request that also indicates options for avoiding soy, corn and coconut and everything is dairy free and plant based. They have gluten free desserts from local gluten free bakeries and are happy to modify dishes as needed for additional allergens. Their cocktails are also AMAZING!

Bartaco is the greatest. The fact that my gluten free and dairy sensitive wife can eat here safely just makes this place the best. The pork belly tacos are the best I have ever had, the duck is fantastic, I always get a teriyaki ribeye. Roasted pork is good. My wife loves the Baja fish.

Wait staff was friendly, food tasted alright. Menu was clear about dietary restrictions and differentiated between plain gluten free and celiacs (no cross contamination), which was nice. Barbacoa tacos gave me food poisoning.

Good Mexican food. They did good takeout. They did miss one of our things of tortillas. But they were able to do gluten free for one of my friends who is celiac.

Beautiful place. Kind of trendy taco place. Not real Mexican by any standard. If you want drinks and chips and guacamole, then this is your place. If you want green chili, flower tortillas and a burrito, then you're not going to like it here.
Our tacos were the fried ones and both were very greasy. Asked about flower tortillas for the tacos and they said sorry, they are gluten free so no flour tortillas.
The guac and chips were the best thing on the menu.
The waitress watched while I punched in the tip. I thought it was a little tacky.
Snag a table without a reservation and enjoy fast service in a chic yet cozy atmosphere. Visitors also love the inviting outdoor area.

Haven't been here in a while. I got chicken fajitas. There were very good, but for me the surprise star was the corn tortillas. They make them in-house and they were, quite frankly, delicious! I eat gluten-free and (mostly) keto. One of these tortillas is worth the keto cheat.

My girlfriend and I would come here at least once or twice a month. Food is delicious and they advertise gluten free dishes on their menu. My girlfriend has celiac disease and they used to be good at food handling & preparing gluten free food. Unfortunately this changed & the kitchen staff contaminated their gluten free fryer. We were told this by staff before ordering and stayed clear of their gluten free fried foods. They still contaminated her gluten free meal (steak) after assuring us that they could still safely handle her order. She got extremely sick. It is very scary when she gets this contaminated. I went back in and told the manager on duty and he showed no concern & said it was impossible. Clearly he did not care or understand how dangerous it is when their kitchen staff are careless with their food handling. He just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Very sad to see this lack of concern for food safety.
Edit after reading response from owner. There is an app called Find Me GF where another Celtic reported getting sick recently. I truly hope they fix this as the food is amazing. It only takes one poorly trained worker to contaminate a busy kitchen.
This spot is a must-visit for its vibrant atmosphere, tasty menu, and unique drink options that keep everyone coming back for more.

I would not recommend this place for anyone who is gluten free.
I ordered the gf French toast, but when it arrived, it didn't appear to be gf. After questioning the server, he confirmed it was, but he was incorrect. I should have left the moment I realized the server did not know the difference.
They took the plate back and replaced it with the correct toast. However, the gf toast was placed on the same plate that had previously contained gluten, contaminating the food. They attempted to correct this again, but I'm unsure if they used the contaminated gf toast on a new plate.
At this point, I had lost all trust in their ability to handle gluten free orders, so I decided not to eat it.
To make matters worse, they failed to bring all of our ordered items and charged us for things we didn't order.

Even though the service was just OK and a bit slow, the food was amazing!
Ceviche had tons of lime and just enough spice level. I wish it came with avocado.
The chilaquiles were crunchy (as they should) and the eggs runny but well cooked on the outside.
The tacos de carnitas were good too, the meat was tender and tasted great.
All three plates gluten free!
Price is also fair.
Kudos to the chef!

I absolutely LOVE this place. My husband took me here for our Friday lunch dates and I adored everything about it from the older times motif with a modern hippie vibe.
In the pricier end, but original food for carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores alike.
For me a vegetarian, my absolute most favorite meal now is Senegalese Vegetables with Tempeh and Udon noodles.
A definite must try for couples and friends that are a mix of vegans, vegetarians, gluten-free, and meat-eaters.... Oh, and they have breakfast items too. *chef's kiss*

This has been my favorite Mexican restaurant in Denver for years. Iโve never had a bad meal here; everything is exceptional. (The guacamole is next-level, and the Sopa Tarasca wows everyone Iโve shared it with. Itโs so hard to pick an entree because I know itโs all top-tier.) They are amazingly accommodating, willing to make substitutions, and awesome about marking vegan/gluten-free options. Take-out is also on point.

We enjoyed our lunch at El Segundo. We sat outside on the deck with a nice view of Gore Creek. They easily accommodated our gluten restrictions. We started with nachos which were generous with lots of yummy toppings. For the second course, we each enjoyed a taco. The tacos were all creative and flavorful. Our cocktails were also nice. Will definitely visit again!

I dont care for Cilantro but can eat it if it's not to powerful. It's clearly the main ingredient in everything. I wanted to order tacos but when I asked if there is cilantro on them I was told it's cooked into the meat and if it wasn't the chefs don't like modifications. At $40 (including kids meals)a plate I don't give a rip. As I'm gluten free I was pretty happy they had gluten free chicken fingers so I ordered that. I tried my wife's beef tacos and cilantro was the prevailing flavor. Same with the salsa. I will say the menu is clearly labeled there are a lot of gluten free options. I had to surrender my pocket knife upon entry though. Wish I had known the security was tighter than Mile High ๐. Also don't add a 15% charge so your staff cab nake a living wage. Pay them that and if you have to raise prices fine. But don't force me to tip. Over all it wasn't worth it. U can pay $500 to feed nine people and have a way better experience and meal at almost any place.

UPDATE YOUR MENU TO ACCURATELY REFLECT ALLERGENS
If an item is marked GF on your menu (not GFO) it should not contain gluten. I inquired about the flavor of the mole enchiladas marked as gf on the menu. The cashier graciously offered to taste the sauce which was much appreciated. When I went to order it, I confirmed it was gf. Cashier told me the mole sauce I just tasted was recently changed to contain gluten. Iโm pretty ticked off the menu was not updated. This is not the cashier's fault, but management should take this more seriously. Very frustrating and not the first time I've had a gluten issue here. On 2 prior occasions I ordered gf corn tortillas with the huevos and was given flour. Laxness around allergens has steered me away from future visits.

I had the carnitas omelette as a scramble with the best gluten free toast I've ever had. The scramble was gigantic and had an acceptable amount of carnitas in it. My husband had the rancher omelette and it looked to have a large amount of meat. The side of fruit was a nice end to the meal. My only feedback is that they should have cream in little pitchers instead of small disposable plastic containers.
Tacos and queso steal the show here, with impressive vegetarian options that keep hungry diners coming back for more!

The food was tasty and the customer service to get me a gluten free menu was good. I will say however as a gluten free allergy the menu leaves a lot to be desired. It's not identified which sauces or spices have gluten in it so I can't even remove the gluten to enjoy a taco instead I only have the basics to choose from which is disappointing.
