My husband, son and I came here for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely fabulous. I could not be more pleased with the staff and the food. The restaurant itself is beautiful and it is a truly wonderful experience. I really enjoyed being here for my birthday and enjoying this overall with my son and husband and son,They even made sure not to cause contaminate with my gluten and dairy allergies and I really appreciated that kindness.

Our main reason for writing a review is Harold. Harold was our waiter today. It was PACKED and he must have been slammed with tables, however he was super attentive, made us feel heard and took priority in ensuring my allergy was accommodated for. His overall persona was just amazing. I would recommend to come here just based off of Harold’s service. However, we went for my dad’s 58th birthday. The food was great. Atmosphere was so great (never felt rushed, and you were able to hear each other and videos). They also had GREAT options for gluten free. All fried foods are gluten free, they have key lime pie, New York cheesecake and other desserts that are gluten free as well.

I am not vegan or vegetarian. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked zest. I got the mushroom alfredo pasta and it was so good. We also got nachos to share - which if you don’t think about it as nachos and more just a chip and dip dish then it’s delicious. The roll was also pretty good and the dessert was amazing

I’ve been going here since I went to Marquette years ago and to go back with celiac and be able to eat gluten free sushi is a win. They mark the gluten free items on their menu and even have gf soy sauce.

Amazing experience. This is a must stop. We had an incredibly knowledgeable server, Jade; who funny enough served us when we were here one year ago…and remembered us. I appreciated the attention to detail the staff put into our safety. Every person who delivered our food to our table made sure to let us know the protocol that went into making it celiac safe and mentioned cross contamination. I can not say thank you enough to the staff here for making our experience above and beyond

Food was ok, came out quickly and service was great but it was busy and relatively loud while we were dining. The ramen was the most disappointing to me- noodles seemed borderline overcooked and the broth was just salty but with little actual flavour. I found it to be some of the more blah vegan dishes I’ve had in a while. It was either super spicy or just tasted like rice. The vegan cream cheese seemed a little off to be honest but that’s on me for not saying anything. I will say they’re great at accommodating allergies as I’ve heard they’ve accommodated gluten free + avocado allergy.

Great spot for happy hour! And lots of options too. If you’re gluten free - ask for their separate gluten free menu (love to see it!) We did the Sunday all day happy hour and were so excited to try a few new things. It’s still pricey but worth it ☺️

I was drawn by the gluten free menu. The coconut chicken was amazing. Very crispy and the coconut sauce is sweet. The egg drop soup was also delicious. I will be back to try the GF sweet and sour chicken. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Gluten free: menu was pretty lacking. Our rolls were a bit bland and they won't adjust their specials, such as the $70 for Two dinner, to incorporate gluten free options even when it's a simple swap. That enough soured me to not want to come back. I found it a bit overpriced for the food we got, considering it was plainer than the regular rolls but cost the same. Go elsewhere, like Kru or Fish Face. Servers were great, it's just an administrative issue on how they run their menu for those of us with special dietary needs.

Guaranteed I've spent thousands here! The service, waitresses especially, are so sweet. The food is made with care and compassion: Of course being vegan but also the welcoming energy of the kitchen and dining space. Will continue bringing all people of walks of life here especially those just getting into veganism as it really opens up the heart to what so much of the lifestyle embodies. Bring your family and friends, they will love it. Plenty of parking with a date tree in the lot too. As many other places have closed over the years and being a vegan over 7yrs now myself, it is an absolute joy to have Chef Kenny's and support this beautiful restaurant. Take out has always been very easy and received correct items. In person, they have a gluten free specific menu if you ask and they are very knowledgeable about allergies/ingredients so ask! The peace of mind you have eating at a fully vegan restaurant on top of the flavor itself is worth it! My favorite(s) is the Mushroom Soup, Walnut Shrimp, and either the Crunch Roll or Jackfruit Roll. You can make a lot gluten free by asking for no "eel" sauce. Just watch their hours to make sure you have enough time to enjoy the whole experience. I rarely visit Vegas without going here and will continue to bring everyone I can here: What we eat makes a difference and taste is never worth taking a life, show people the way! The food was tasty, the staff were attentive, the atmosphere was cute. But there is NOT very much gluten free options. In general, this place is not allergen friendly. If you have no allergies though, it's great!!! Also, the mid-day menu is pretty limited

I've been going to because I have celiac disease and they are 100% gluten-free but Unfortunately, I recently tested their food with my Nima sensor, and it found gluten, which made me really sick and almost sent me to the hospital. It's super important for places that serve gluten-free food to make sure it's actually safe for people with celiac disease. Do better the owner insured me no gluten very disappointed. This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease in ‘97 but have been on a gluten free diet for more than 25 yrs. And I can tell you that Asian restaurants that serve gf options are the hardest to find. I found this one on social media and was willing to drive 1hr and 30min for it. It was so worth it!! I tried the crab ragoons and they were amazing! It’s so hard to get crunchiness from gf dough and they did it! I decided to order multiple dishes to go since I had a long drive back (and didn’t want to embarrass myself with so many plates on the table). I ordered the orange chicken, garlic scallops, fried rice with shrimp, chicken egg rolls and fried bananas for dessert. I got home and started to eat a little bit of everything, and oh my goodness!! EVERYTHING was so delicious!! I was so full but wanted to keep eating. I used to go to PF Changs for the gf options but this food doesn’t even get close to theirs. They have that home made taste and most importantly, they were safe to eat. I will definitely come back whenever I’m in the area. And the service was also great! Everyone was very attentive to my diet and so nice. Thank you!

We stopped in on a whim, traveling back to Maine and we are so glad we did. The gluten free options are what drew us in, but the top tier service and quality of this food have now made this our official spot when we come down. The hostess was incredibly friendly, our server was kind, and the food (GF fried pickles, calamari, bang bang shrimp, and onion rings) were incredible, as was the heated deck atmosphere. Best Valentines dinner ever with my honey! The drinks were so tasty. Each dish was so delicious and different- from oysters to wagyu, to fried tofu and delectable sushi and sashimi. Had the 10-course omakase. The amuse bouche and palate cleansers were on par.The deserts were new and complemented each other. A mango tapioca and chocolate gelato with blackberries and kumquats. Really appreciated making all gluten free for me as I am a celiac. Loved the added touch of a gift bag at the end!! Will definitely be back.

I was shocked to see a negative review from a gluten-free person. I, too, am gluten free, and I have found them to always be very accommodating, including the non-soy soy sauce that they bring without my having to ask. We have eaten at M Sushi many times over the time since they first opened their doors next to The Durham, and we have never had anything but a superb experience. There are always differences of opinion, but we love M Sushi and will be heading there for our 25th wedding anniversary with the people who designed Mike's space.

Would not be writing this review had the email of the owner I was provided worked (get the feeling I was given the wrong email intentionally). The Service and Quality of Food have declined SIGNIFICANTLY! Will however point out the COMEDY - EXCEPTIONAL!!! A waitress told a customer: "Eggs have Gluten!" The grains fed to the chickens actually is broken down entirely and not present in the egg. I would have paid hundreds if not thousands to have a video of this interaction to be able to repost/share!

This place is fantastic. I have celiac and a wheat/oat allergy and the staff was knowledgeable about all allergens for menu items. I had no bad reactions to the food afterward. The food is delicious too - I'm an omnivore who eats vegan/vegetarian a decent amount. It stands amongst some of my favorite restaurants ever (non vegan included). Did not think it being vegan detracted from flavor whatsoever. Highly recommend, especially if you have gluten sensitivity.

This was so good. As a celiac, it’s always difficult to find sushi. Rolls were fresh and staff were knowledgeable. There are more limited selections available but if you’re not picky, this is a great spot. Would highly recommend.

Love that it’s completely gluten free I have celiac and anxiety when trying new places but my biggest concern was what to eat I chose the khalessi bowl and hot mocha omg soooo gooooo if you like clean juice you will love this my partner had avacado toast and couldn’t tell it was gf wish I lived closer

My family went to Rhode Roots for the first time yesterday and were very impressed. A++ all around. My wife has celiac disease and finding gluten free safe restaurants with such an extensive menu can be challenging. We tried the clam cakes and chowder and and they were delicious. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back and try some other items on the menu.

I can't believe I didn't try Uchiko sooner. Anna was a fantastic server and the food was amazing. My boyfriend and I wanted to keep the bill around $200, so I was worried we wouldn't get enough food. I had to unbutton my pants on the way home. We're pretty indecisive, so we took Anna up on her offer to curate a menu for us based on our budget and likes/dislikes. Every single bite of the 9-course dinner was perfect. We got all our favorites (most of which we didn't mention - it felt like she was reading our minds), plus plenty of unique things that I never would've thought to order but turned out to be incredible. She checked in regularly to see what we liked so she could pick the next courses. Our feedback probably wasn't very helpful because we loved everything. I mentioned my gluten intolerance in the reservation. Anna addressed it as soon as we were seated and went over the gluten-free options. The vast majority of the menu items were either gluten-free or could be modified. It really stood out to me that the food runners all specified that each dish they served was gluten-free. I didn't have to spend the meal worrying about miscommunications. Our experience was on par with the Michelin-star restaurants I used to go to when I lived in NYC, but for a fraction of the price. Obviously the food was perfect. But what really set this experience apart was the service. I can't say enough good things about Anna, the bartenders, and the rest of the FOH staff. Everyone went above and beyond to take care of us and make us feel welcomed.

First time at Billy’s and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! Food was very good but it’s pretty spendy. The experience is lacking for me. With price that high I kinda expected the experience would match the price point. It’s loud and tables are pretty snug. I am gluten free and would recommend the NOLO sushi roll. Staff were very friendly and accommodating! Overall we had a good time and would eat here again! Dress- all over the place. I thought it was fancy but I felt over dressed.

First time here 2.15.2025. Greeted by our server, Paige. She was good - did important things like keeping the water filled and involving Brandi the manager when we mentioned my wife had severe gluten allergy/must eat gluten free. The food and the atmosphere (sitting on the water with a nice breeze, waves crashing, and beautiful design aesthetics at the restaurant), literally couldn't have been better. For that I kind of understand why the food takes a while to come out (we were there about 30 mins before we received our apps) - it's an experience and you don't want to rush. At least I hope that is why it took so long. :) The price of the meal was expected since we had lobster, apps, crab cakes, and the wonderful location. We paid about $65/pp without alcohol and dessert. We will be back.
