Was in town for work and wanted something marginally healthy with gluten free options for my friend. I got a salad, they let me sub shrimp for chicken for a small fee and the salad was delightful. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. The staff was nice. Lots of tables inside and out.
I am so thankful they offer gluten free...pancakes included!! Beverly was our service provider and she made me aware of all the gluten free options (I had no idea!). Such a wonderful breakfast topped off by friendly and fantastic service! Be back soon, OPH!!
They offer amazing GF salads as well as gluten free pizza crust. They will change gloves and use new cutting utensils for pizza, but it is put into the same oven and surface as regular pizza, so there is a cross contamination risk.
Amazing menus that you would not know was over 90% gluten free. This is how it should be done. Most people just go here because the food is great, and those of us who can’t eat at most restaurants can just be like a normal customer here.
Absolutely everything on the menu is gluten free except the empanadas! They can make those in flautas form though! It’s so nice to go to a restaurant and be able to order almost everything on the menu!
Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free on a separate surface. They also have a full bar. Perfect for brunch! 3 Charlotte locations! We got the Pineapple upside down pancakes and the Spuds Deluxe!
I really enjoyed the food . I had the souffle, a po' boy, potato salad, and the lemon cake. Everything was delicious. I was full for hours . Thank goodness everything is gluten-free and vegan, being that I am gluten and dairy intolerant. It was a good feeling knowing that my food was safe and that I would not have any allergic reactions. Our server Noel was a joy. Very friendly.
Delicious safe gluten free food. Burger had THE BEST GF bun I have ever had. Alexis who helped us order was knowledgeable and went out of her way to make sure I had a safe dining experience.
A true Charlotte institution. It never gets old and the atmosphere is dreamy. The burgers are elevated. There are lots of fresh foods to choose from and they also have a variety of vegan and gluten free options. Maybe the best restaurant in Charlotte!
The Gluten Free pizza is phenomenal. Probably top 3 in Charlotte, if not, number 1. With that being said, the service was very bad. We arrived at 5:15 and the hostess was very nice and seated us and made room for our baby. About a minute later, our server, Anthony came to the table. He asked if we wanted anything to drink and we just said water and he said he would come back. Well 25 minutes later my wife had to get up to find him so that we could order. Once we placed the order it took another 30 for the food to come out. We chose to eat before 5:30 since we were out with a baby and it was empty at that time. We never got an apology or anything. You can’t deny how great the pizza is, but the service was terrible this time.
They have a variety of options that are extremely safe for those that have celiac disease. A majority of items are already gluten free or can be made gluten free! The fryers are 100% gluten free along with a spare pizza oven. Any of the pizzas can be made gluten free. It is prepared on cauliflower crust! All pastas can be made gluten free and are prepared in separate boiler to maintain no cross-contamination. I was there for a girls night, so we just ordered small dishes to share. I’d love to try the pasta and pizza. The restaurant in itself is extremely nice.
A great place for sushi and Asian cuisine. They have a complete GF menu with main dishes, appetizers and sushi. Just ask your server for it. They use tamari sauce instead of soy sauce.
I have found myself here multiple times since I found this place. Not only are the employees and service wonderful, if you have to be gluten free this place is the jackpot! It allows you to enjoy a burger without missing gluten in the slightest. The gluten free buns are soft and delicious and they made sure to tell me the fries are not gluten free as well. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking to enjoy a burger and milkshake!

Celiac friendly. The staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and were able to highlight everything on the menu that I could eat. Delicious food and good atmosphere.
The food here is very good for airport food. There were burgers, sandwiches and other foods. Gluten free bread offered but they do share toaster with other breads. All food cooked on the same cook top as well so cross contamination is all but guaranteed. Not great for those sensitive celiacs.
The staff and manager Gail was absolutely fantastic! She was kind, friendly and was knowledgeable in the menu! I couldn’t be happier Mahana Fresh offers gluten-free and vegan options! A++++
I would stay away from this location at all costs. Stopped in to grab dinner after a panthers game 11/24/24, obviously knew it was going to be busy and expected a long wait. The host/hostess said we were looking at an hour which again was no biggie considering there was a line out the door when we arrived. So strike number one, we are a family of 4, another family of 4 behind us in line proceeded to tip the hostess to get seated in front of everyone and sure enough they did. The host/hostess also proceeded to seat some their “friends” before everyone else too. To each their own, but shame on the hostess for taking the money and I hope management sees this and takes proper disciplinary action. Now after about a 45 minute wait we were seated, not quite the hour that we were expecting so could easily look past the bribing of from the people that got seated before us. Our waiter took our drink order brought the drinks back in a timely fashion and then took our order. We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas as one of our kids has celiac and the other was for someone who just doesn’t like to eat gluten, we also ordered a regular crust medium pepperoni pizza. After a few minutes of discussing the servers allergy in comparison to our sons allergy the server then proceeded to put our order in. Now here is strike 2, a while has passed by and our server comes by and says I think your order should be coming up shortly. Again not a big deal as I know they were busy, hence the hour wait to sit down, so no biggie. Then about 45 after we sat down the server comes to us and starts apologizing repeatedly that he has no idea why our food hasn’t come out yet. Mind you the entire time we as a family have been very understanding of the situation and not really sure why the server is apologizing so much, it’s busy we understand. After about an hour after sitting down our food comes out but there’s a problem, one of the gluten free pizzas was entered incorrectly as just an “allergy” so was prepared as dairy free. The other pizzas were prepared as they should be, but unfortunately the persons pizza that was incorrect was the one who has celiac. So the manager said they will put an urgent refire for the gluten free pizza, oh and this is just a gluten free “cheese” pizza. That ended up taking about another 30 minutes. Again, people make mistakes, it’s busy, shit happens, but we have now been at this establishment for well over 2 hours pushing into 3. Now here is strike 3, I’m not one who looks at getting anything for free, but when you’ve been at an establishment for almost 3 hours, been jumped in front of in line by money and friendship, and you finally get your order and the one person who needs it to be correct is wrong some sort of compensation should have been offered, but all we got were a lot of apologies. We paid our bill and I still tipped normal 20% as I know it was busy and not all faults fall on a server, but I people read this and take this into consideration when making a choice to eat at this locations.
My wife got the gluten free mushroom pizza and I got the colony on regular crust….the undercarriage on both of these pizzas…to die for! Highly recommend!
Wow!!! What a place!!! So many delicious options on the menu- we had a hard time deciding!!! Luckily, everything comes with a side of 3 pancakes (which are delicious!!) we also enjoyed coffee, chocolate milk, gluten free waffles, Nutella crepes, an Irish omelette, scrambled and sunny-side up eggs, and sausage links. Great choice for a breakfast joint!! Would return!!
Edit: I've never been there before. I'm from out of town. I didn't know where to stand or where to order. The two ladies working around 11: oo (?) Sat were so friendly and helpful to me. They acted like I was a local and that I wasn't confused at all, lol. The half Pizza they suggested was perfect. Also, they asked me if my gluten order was because of an allergy or preference. No one's ever asked me that before. I am impressed.
Really nice place to get breakfast if you are staying at the hotel next door. Really friendly service, always helpful and the food is really tasty. Gluten-free bread is also available for some of the dishes.
The lady who took my order was very helpful, kind, and efficient. However, when I got the pizza home I realized that the dough on the gluten free crust was raw! I have been gluten free for a long time, so I do know there will be a difference in the texture, but this was like a sticky paste, just like gluten free dough before it has been cooked. The pizza is also expensive. 3 pizzas cost me $60.
Had a delicious burger and slaw for lunch. They offer gluten free buns. They do not have a dedicated fryer, so no fried foods are safe. Gluten free sushi is marked on the menu or you can crate your own.
Delicious pork barbecue! Three special blends of sauces to compliment pork, beef, and chicken. Staff is very attentive to dietary needs and recommends menu items safe for dairy and gluten-free options. Huge dining room and cozy bar area. Love the hand-wash station in the corner of the dining room.
Enjoyed a brunch break with my family of 6. I tried the Louisiana Quiche with a side of potatoes. The quiche was good as far as seasoning and flavor but the pastry part of the quiche was overcooked and therefore hard to eat with a fork. The hot chocolate was great! It’s my go-to hot drink. I give it and our service 5/5. Although it’s a 45-minute drive from Kannapolis, I’ll happily make it again; especially since I’m the passenger while my husband drives ;) The menu has so many options, I love trying different things! I don’t mind paying for good quality, feel-good food that’s prepped fresh. I’m always satisfied. If I find something that I don’t prefer, I just order something different next time. So many choices, including gluten-free and vegetarian.
Staple restaurant in the SouthPark area. Always appreciate the kindness of the team throughout the dining experience. They are knowledgeable about the menu and helpful when advising about the gluten-free options. There are plenty of options — but it is best to ask for guidance/confirmation. We tried the watermelon and tomato salad this visit and it was GREAT! We also enjoyed the meat and cheese tray!

Legion Brewing South Park location has a whole gluten free menu. The southwest salad and bbq sandwich are my favorites for lunch + dinner. They make an amazing monte cristo & always have a lot of local ingredients. We bring all guests who come in town here because of the variety of options and knowledgeable staff.
This is an amazing place for gluten free options! They have GF options listed on their menu, but can modify many other items. They have gluten free pasta cooked in separate water and they offer rice crust and cauliflower crust pizzas cooked on separate surfaces. The owner doesn’t have celiac, but has the gene and is well aware of precautions that should be taken. I got the Chicken Parmesan which was modified from their menu. They grilled the chicken instead of frying and used GF pasta. We also got the burrata appetizer and they brought me my own GF bread. The bread is purchased from a local bakery. I can’t wait to go back and try the pizza!
Decent fast casual restaurant with healthy food unless you are salt conscious. Good choice of vegetarian and gluten free food.
One big complaint: about half the dishes (saucy ones) were way too salty
Advice: the kids meal portion is a bit small. My below average sized toddler finished it all and wanted more pasta.
My biggest complaint is that I ordered gluten free for my wife, who has an extreme sensitivity. We were not given gluten free food. This is a problem that should not exist.
I have Celiac disease and Cancer today was a very busy day for me I had a taste for Singapore Mei Fun. The Manager came to me and noticed that I said no heat, no curry no sauce. She suggested to try one of the three sauces she put in my bag. The I used th sauce they use in Lo Mein. It was very tasty, packed with chicken etc the chicken egg roll was cooked to perfection. I am giving a 10 on a scale of five. Job well done I absolutely suggest this restaurant to anyone visiting this weekend. I got the order to go but I am enjoying it as I post this review. Should have taken a photo but it was so good I forgot to lol

I always love a Celiac -friendly sit down meal in an airport! Summerhouse is great with gluten-free needs and precautions.
I usually get the chicken tacos with chips instead of tortillas, and I ask for a bowl and extra guacamole to help with assembly. Pictures here are how it comes and how I assemble it.
The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Super grateful for a real meal between flights instead of just snacks! Highly recommend if you're in the Charlotte Airport and need a gluten free meal.
Let’s start with how beautiful the restaurant is and service is top notch. My server “Erika “ was very attentive and answered all my questions. I loved that they have lots of gluten free options. I will definitely be coming back because the food is phenomenal.
What a cool spot!
The sandwich was perfectly made, loved the flavor and crunch combination and I couldn't tell it was gluten free, best bun I've had in a while!
The place is a bit loud but the design is amazing and so unique 😍
I was told that a bread was gluten free that they used on a burger, that it was from a bakery in town. I looked up the bakery and found that they are not really gluten free. Then when I asked further, found out it's sourdough with gluten free starter (I had already had the sandwich with what I thought was gluten free bread). I was told by the manager that if I have celiac I shouldn't eat it but if I'm sensitive to gluten it's ok. That doesn't make sense if indeed there is white flour in the bread. I am sensitive to gluten and have to go to the emergency room if I eat gluten. If the item is not gluten free, please don't tell people it's gluten free. By definition gluten free is wheat (including all purpose), rye and barley. They could not tell me what the ingredients are in the bread. Please see the following I got off the internet about "gluten starter":
"While the natural bacteria may make it easier to digest, it doesn't render it gluten-free. If you have celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, be sure that you use gluten-free flour for the starter and gluten-free ingredients for all of the baked goods you plan to use your gluten-free sourdough starter in."
I took an gluten free enzyme pill when I got home. Hope it works.
It didn't work. I am sensitive to gluten and got very sick. Had to be in the emergency room.
BEWARE GLUTEN SENSITIVE OR CELIAC, THEY ARE CLAIMING A BREAD IS GLUTEN FREE AND IT IS NOT. THE MANAGER WOULDN"T EVEN LISTEN TO ME
