This isn't a fancy style reseraunt but for something quick on the go that has non dairy and wheat free options, this is a nice place to stop. I enjoy eating the pad Thai with rice noodles since I don't eat wheat or gluten. Low cost for a good portion size and tastes good.
We visited the Ames location for the first time for a birthday and it was delicious! The service was prompt and attentive. Great selection of mocktails. Loved that it is quiet and you can easily carry on a conversation with others--even in a large group. Lots of gluten free options if you need those!
It is a great place to enjoy food really good food. They have gluten-free options for fish and burgers, which is a huge awesome. I hope to see the menu grow.
The owner is very involved. A safe place. They did have a good selection of games to play in the corner, but it needs to be restocked.
The parking is awful, but trivia is so fun. Trivia Tom is the best, and Cam is your go-to for anything. Melissa knows how to pour a proper Guinness.
I love how involved the owner is within the community. You'll see him mowing grass, fixing things, and still will stop to have a good chat.
Best of all, dog friendly outside area.
I have a very severe allergy to gluten and eat at chick-fil-a often. I went here and requested a gluten free bun as well as them to change gloves, wash hands, etc. I was then given a glutinous bun and no refund. Will never eat at this location again.
Great food, service and atmosphere! Fabulous gluten free choices, way beyond just salads, buns and pizza crust!
Edit: Someone asked about accessibility. Entrance and flooring accessible. Don't recall how roomy the women's restroom was.
Pretty impressed that Culvers offers Gluten free buns and provides a Celiac safe process for preparing my food. The staff was very helpful in helping me decide and did a great job by being so professional and courteous!
Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful staff, and tremendously delicious food. If you have not been to wasabi in somerset, you MUST try! The menu has something for everyone, including Gluten Free and vegetarian.
We tried this beautiful place after moving our daughter out of her dorm at Iowa State. The atmosphere was great with high ceilings, an open air vibe and lovely natural lighting. The breeze coming through the large windows was so nice as we enjoyed our meal. We came for lunch and got sandwiches and salads. Bonus for us- gluten free bread options! Our waiter was especially helpful and charming with the style of an artist. I wish I had tried a coffee as it smelled amazing, but I will definitely be returning for that next time.
Stopped by yesterday because I heard they might have vegan pastries & I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience! I got a London Fog Latte with oat milk and my sister got an oat milk latte and there was no upcharge for dairy milk! The vibe is very modern and chill inside too (love the plants!)
For snacks: I got the gluten free and vegan chocolate tahini sandwich cookie which was great -VERY rich. The baklava was also really good and they had another gluten free cookie option as well. (I assume it rotates). Gluten-free vegan snacks were from Little Bohemia. They had non-vegan donuts as well.
