A superb experience at this restaurant, which offers gluten-free options with Sicilian specialties, from starters to desserts.
Very good, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices.
I recommend it.
Even though we have been customers for a long time, last night apart from the appetizers, I ate a horrible gluten-free pizza, the edge was very high, about 4 cm, the raw food was inedible and the pizza inside was also raw and tiny in size. I complained about everything, and the answer was we will tell the pizza chef to lower the edge. In addition, for each course they put a supplement of 2 euros for gluten-free, not only for the pizza which I can understand, but for each appetizer including the sorbet a celiac pays 2 euros more per course, shameful.
A restaurant with excellent food and many gluten-free options. The family atmosphere is very pleasant. We ordered Pasta alla Norma and gluten-free Tortellini.
My friend and I ate here. Mine was gluten free, Incredible! I couldn’t tell and I also couldn’t finish it. I’ve never not been able to finish my pizza. So tasty! Would recommend
Was voted one of the top 50 pizza places in Italy in 2024.
10/10. Best gluten free pizza we have had in a while! So so good. The simpler pizza we had was tastier than the Innovazione pizza we had (Diavola was more flavoursome than the Spilinga). Atmosphere is beautiful- the outside area is gorgeous and the interior is classy and rustic. Attentive service, too. Can't go wrong. If you're a caeliac especially, please give this place a try! Pizzas are between €9- €16, with an additional €2.50 charge for gluten free dough.
Delicious food and excellent variety of food. Including desserts.
But the staff isn’t trained!! The waiter brought my gluten free pizza in the same hand with gluten pizza directly touching it!!
Plate with gluten pizza was on my plate with gluten free pizza
Small but nice place, welcoming atmosphere, we took 1 gluten-free appetizer, 1 gluten-free pizza with tomato, buffalo mozzarella, bacon and parmesan flakes, and 2 with gluten, 1 Zarina and 1 Margherita. As far as I'm concerned it was the best gluten-free pizza I've ever tasted before... absolutely satisfied
I got a gluten-free and dairy-free cake due to an intolerance not only to gluten but also to casein. A pleasant, tasty and wonderful experience because I would have challenged anyone to notice the difference from a normal cake. Taste experience far beyond the wildest expectations. A balance of flavors and goodness appreciated by all. My compliments to the creator of this wonderful dessert. Fabio Leo
Gluten-free, no problem!
I had spaghetti with lobster from the daily special. It was super delicious and very plentiful. There was a whole lobster on the plate, with plenty of boned pieces in the creamy sauce. Luckily, I didn't have an appetizer, so it's a shame I missed the desserts. A sommelier comes to the table and annoys me with the wine selection. For this quality, the price is more than justified. Highly recommended; please make a reservation in advance.
Disappointing experience overall
We walked around 40 minutes to get to the restaurant, so we were really looking forward to it – but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The staff were quite rude, and when we sat under a fan (it was hot), we were asked to move.
The food was just okay. The carbonara was extremely salty, and the pistachio pasta with burrata came with a tiny burrata – not what you'd expect for the price. Also worth noting: there’s an extra €2 charge per dish for gluten-free options, and they don’t serve café americanos.
Wouldn’t go out of my way for it again.
Very atmospheric and pleasant place, in the very center. The choice fell on it, because of the presence of a choice of allergens (decaf coffee, gluten-free, etc.). Everything was very tasty, clean and pleasant service. The place is not cheap, breakfast for two was offended by 73 euros (rather it is our fault, since we wanted to try everything, tomorrow we will definitely come back and I think we will cut the bill in half, since we will already clearly know what we want). I highly recommend
We had a great evening here on Monday me and my wife choice the restaurant as it did a lot of gluten free for the wife so she had a great selection to choose from . Service was good could not do enough for you and the food was really good as you can see in one of photos for starters the wife had gluten free bruschetta was really good bread was soft and crispy on the outside , for main I had the fish fry prawns , fish , squid was tasty. We were sat inside chatting to a local man we were for ages having a laugh would highly recommend.
Among the best pizzerias in the city and with particular attention to celiac disease and lactose intolerance.
Super nice environment with rooms all furnished differently (the one with the monkeys is beautiful). The tented exterior is welcoming, and in summer you can breathe the air of the garden on Piazza Sant'Oliva.
The selection of wines and beers available is excellent.
I highly recommend trying Palino.
English: We went to the tavern for dinner, the staff were very kind and super helpful in explaining the dishes. One of us was celiac but had no problem because they have gluten-free pasta, the same for main courses and appetizers. Phenomenal food, pasta full of sauce and really generous portions: a first course was enough for two people, but because of the goodness we literally cleaned the plates (even though in our opinion they were 180/200 grams of pasta). We also had white wine and mixed appetizers with olives, caponata, sweet and sour pumpkin and milk croquettes, all delicious. I highly recommend the place to anyone passing through Palermo also for the characteristic Sicilian atmosphere given by the furniture that I found to be the icing on the cake to the delicious food. For 4 of us we spent about €20 each with a large appetizer, 1 enormous first course each, wine, water and coke, a price that I find very fair for the good food and service offered
This place was recommended by a local, the food is delicious and authentic yet with a twist. It is mainly Neapolitan pizzas but also gluten free options for all!
MUST EAT in Palermo if you’re looking for Italian pizza!
Also the service is extremely professional, special thanks to Samuel for his sweet care!
A place found by chance in the historic center of Palermo, but a little away from the main streets, due to the possibility of eating some gluten-free dishes. I must say that it met expectations: I ate a delicious mussel soup (served with gluten-free bread on the side) and spaghetti with sea urchins, with good seasoning but unfortunately a little overcooked. Honest bill and generous portions, fairly fast service, air conditioning throughout.
Bad communication in the kitchen room.
Little seriousness and little attention.
I asked if there was lactose in a product and was told that it was lactose-free, but this did not guarantee the absence of contamination. Not even 10 minutes after finishing dinner I felt ill inside the restaurant, even though I have a mild lactose intolerance for which the contamination has no effect, even attracting the attention of a doctor who advised me to go to the emergency room due to the severity of my condition. Nothing but contamination! The product contained lactose in high quantities and I felt ill for the following days.
We also called in the afternoon to find out if they had gluten-free products and they assured us they had pasta. In the evening, however, they told us they didn't have gluten-free pasta, which they however recovered following our complaints.
Cozy atmosphere, a bit mountain hut style. The staff are fantastic. It feels at home! Unfortunately, being celiac, I cannot taste the food, but they always try to accommodate me with cocktails, studying solutions suitable for my pathology. Thanks always! 🩷
PS. A real shame not to be able to taste their dishes, because they look amazing! The pizza is mouth watering and the meat is no different!
Except for president.
Stunning place: truly Sicilian dishes, very fresh fish, fresh pasta also for celiacs and an uncommon kindness from all the staff. Well done Salvo and all his staff. I forgot: the cellar is extraordinary.
Go there. We will be back.
Worst place for any gluten free food. The fish was dry and inedible. Gluten free bread provided was burnt and hard as a rock. The service was terrible and no one cared at all - purely a tourist trap for charging ridiculous prices for horrible food. Don’t even bother.
I discovered this place by chance a year ago. The food is excellent with a wide choice even gluten-free. All the staff are kind and welcoming, especially the girl who, from day one, helped me with gluten-free choices, always attentive, kind and professional. The menu is very varied and the products are well made, with quality ingredients. Over the year I have brought several guests here, all satisfied!
Lots of gluten free choices (fish burger, panelle, dessert) much appreciated. Smiling and kind staff, tables overlooking the sea perfect for the summer.
Very nice and well-kept place. Attentive, kind service and also available for food intolerances and gluten-free.
Dishes that are beautiful to look at and delicious on the palate, well prepared, tasty and with well-valued local products. Excellent wine list. 5 stars absolutely deserved!
Five minutes from Mondello beach. The location was a real surprise, cared for and designed to be welcoming down to the smallest detail, the baked goods are excellent long-leavening dough and quality condiments. And what to say about gluten-free pizza, this is a precaution for those who sometimes find themselves with full eyes and vacant hands, or rather a vacant belly, when faced with that goodness. Well done! Well done! Well done!
