Wow. I only just started eating gluten again, and I try to only do organic and wild fermented etc. I was recently learning about how doing sourdough makes things was more digestible as well. I ordered their orange vegan doughnut and MY GOD .,.. so good! I’m super picky. And I can’t stand all the processed fake food that is common in America. Even a lot of the supposed health food isn’t that good. This doughnut was angelic and I could’ve eaten 4 back to back. Not sickly sweet- just tasty and the sourdough flavor plus the sweet was so delicious. I would LOVE if they started offering dairy free and gluten free doughnuts as well. I know a lot of ppl like myself have a hard time with cows milk for obvious reasons.

My husband and I went in today to get two sandwiches, a Caesar salad, and a pastry. We ordered at the front and waited almost 20 mins to receive our order. The entire meal cost over $60 even though they forgot to add chicken that we paid for to the salad, and one of the sandwiches (which we paid extra for because it was on gluten free bread) was on two 2in x 5in tiny slices of gluten free bread. The bread was stale and the sandwich was cold, even though it took 18 mins for our food to be ready. I understand paying more for gluten free bread given it’s expensive for restaurants to carry but for it to be half the size of the other sandwich but be $4 more is unfair. The salad was also the size of a side salad. We called for a refund on the missing chicken and the staff told us to come back to the restaurant and she would give me $5 cash even though I paid by card.

Truly the best cafe and pastry shop in the neighborhood. The various lattes are delicious (I can’t get enough of the osmanthus latte!) and the pastries are such a delight. The gluten-free selection has been so so good (the banana and lemon are out of this world!!!) and the staff is super knowledgeable about cross-contamination and gluten-free ingredients. The back patio is quiet and perfect for getting work done (but my dog loves to play around the patio too!).
