This was the second time I've had their pizza! The cashew cheese is sooo good! All crusts are wheat free, and they have separate oven and fryer for celiac. The cashew blue cheese dip was the perfect pairing. One thing I wanted to add is the last time I had the BEST vegan ice cream flavor I've ever had. Lavender and butterfly pea! Please do that again!
This charming spot impresses with delicious baked goods, a lovely atmosphere, and a warm vibe that invites you to stay awhile.

As someone with multiple dietary restrictions, I really appreciate how clear and easy to navigate Virtue Bakery is. No guessing games, everything is labeled, and the staff behind the counter genuinely understand the ingredients. It is refreshingly straightforward without ever compromising on flavour. Their offerings include all gluten-free, and a variety of dairy-free, egg-free, and low-sugar baked goods, catering to a wide range of folks. They do have nuts on-site, goodies share a display case, however whatever is labelled as nuts has nuts in it and other stuff doesn't.
A rare gem for those of us with dietary restrictions! I love the df lavender brownie and df banana bread.
Experience a vibrant atmosphere with spacious seating and a nice patio, perfect for enjoying authentic wood-fired pizza and creative drinks.

Great pizza. My partner has a gluten allergy, so he always orders the gf crust and it’s almost as good as the regular pizza crust - by far the best gf crust I’ve tasted.

Came here for our anniversary dinner, as a celiac I usually avoid eating out Italian as the pasta substitute js subpar, that was not the case here. The best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had and most appies and all deserts were gluten free. My gluten eating husband also said it was the best pasta he’s ever had. Was nice to have a desert option that was not a flourless chocolate cake, highly recommend the olive oil cake! The service was really good and they were very knowledgeable about celiac. Would highly recommend!
This vegan bakery surprises with its deliciously rich desserts and unique plant-based offerings that leave everyone craving for more.

Great spot, and better than most other dairy-free/gluten-free baking in Vancouver. Their vegan cakes + cupcakes are especially good - about as close as you can get to a dairy cake in terms of texture and flavour

If this is your first time visiting Vancouver, Miku would be my top recommendations on your itinerary list for places to eat. Now, this isn't your typical sushi restaurant, in fact, I would consider this to be fine dining and here's why.
When it comes to Japanese food, presentation is the most important next to customer service level, and they are bang on. I absolutely love how intricate their sushi layered to simplicity on a plate. Reminds me of a zen garden. The waiters/ waitress' are knowledgeable of their dishes being served and super friendly! Dishes are, at minimum $20, but the portions are decently sized. (Anything with Wagyu will always be expensive).
They do offer gluten -free and vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic drinks.
(I had their Shiso Nojito and it was the most refreshing non-alcoholic I've ever had. Not too sweet either).
Overall, I would highly recommend it for first time travellers to Vancouver. It's absolutely a beautiful place to dine in!

Probably my favourite ice cream place in Vancouver. Try to get there a couple times per summer. They have seasonal flavours that are always interesting. Had the easter egg on this last time and loved it. They list gluten and vegan friendly options and are very accommodating.

Went there to celebrate with a group of 5 people. The wait staff were very friendly, I was greeted by each server I passed as I came in. The servers were always nearby to assist when needed and the owner was walking throughout the restaurant helping to attend to each table. The service was a 10/10 and noticeably better than most restaurants.
The food was incredible and so flavourful. We ordered most of not all the appetizers to share and they were amazing. We had a vegetarian in our group and there were plenty of vegetarian options to choose from. They also had a variety of gluten free and dairy free options too. I will definitely be returning to try their entrees. The lamb popsicles are what I have my eye on for next time. They also had an extensive drink list which included a good variety of non alcoholic options too. Are the prices high? a bit but food costs have increased and most restaurants have had to adjust their prices for this reason. For the experience and the value of the dishes, it’s reasonable. The ambience of the restaurant was nice and dimly lit. We all enjoyed our time there and I will definitely be going back again soon!
The patio offers a stunning view and a chill vibe, making it a perfect spot for gatherings and enjoying a diverse menu.

I had been given a few coupons for some free ice cream, and wanted to finally come see what the fuss was about. Upon my fiancée and I getting there, we were pleased to see the different available flavors and styles clearly marked with their respective allergens. As my partner has Celiac's disease, it was important to avoid gluten, but the staff member at the counter was able to keep is informed clearly about any gluten risk, and was even able to use my 'free scoop' coupon to go towards a pint to take home! Great experience, and FANTASTIC ice cream. The London Fog is very worth trying.

This place is dangerous for my bank account. They serve multiple addicting flavors on a rotating basis. Shoutout to Spruce Bud, which tastes like a Christmas tree in ice cream form and gives me such painful childhood nostalgia that I should probably discuss it with my therapist. The oat and brown sugar flavor is also great.
There doesn’t seem to be a limit on samples here (unlike at other places), which is great for an indecisive person like me. The shop is almost always crowded and staff do a good job of keeping things moving. Vegan and gluten free options are available and common allergies are posted on the affected flavors.
Fantastic place for an authentic Rajasthani experience. Vegan & glutenfree thali was scrumptious. Perfectly spiced chai served in a kulhad. Hearty servings of a variety of foods. Friendly service with all the information you need. Worth the drive to Vancouver
Expect a unique, softer dessert experience with subtle sweetness, popular among Asian customers and a nostalgic vibe from long-time visitors.

Came here after dinner for take out cheesecake one night. Options were limited to basic mix and match toppings and two bases of cheesecake. The cheesecake portion was ok but the biggest disappointment was NO CRUST. So the texture was very one note. I’m assuming they do this to accommodate gluten free customers, but I think it would be better to do gluten free crust ingredients. Didn’t feel like a proper cheesecake.

Just had an amazing quick lunch there, it was supposed to just be a coffee but they have gluten-free crepes, had no idea. The flour was tasty (oat based, organic), the haloumi/pesto/sun-dried tomatoes/spinach combo perfect. I'm used to the buckwheat ones so it was a nice surprise, so was the strawberry/pistachio/clotted cream smoothie to go. The prices are very fair and the service excellent, I'm absolutely going back for more!

All the locations are top notch 5 stars. Love the gluten-free and while not strictly kosher, certainly very kosher-style friendly, vegetarian, vegan and pescatarian options. Delicious and nice staff everywhere. Support Jewish food!
I was very disappointed with my recent experience. I purchased a rainbow cake on Sunday for a birthday party, and the quality fell far below expectations. The cake was stale, the icing lacked flavor, and parts of the sheet pan were burnt. Unfortunately, no one at the party, including the children, wanted to eat it. Given the price of the cake, I expected far better quality.
To address the issue, I returned the cake to the store and was informed that the manager was unavailable but would contact me on Monday. When I didn’t hear back, I called, only to be told once again that the manager was unavailable. I then visited the store in person, but by that point, the cake had already been discarded without being tasted. The manager also declined to take any responsibility for the situation.
I’ve given an additional star because the cake was ready on time at the agreed location and the vegan gluten-free cupcakes we ordered for our dietary constrained guests were fine. The lack of accountability and the dismissive handling of this situation have left me deeply disappointed.

Tl;dr: be careful ordering if you're Celiac
Breka's food and drinks are great, if a bit spendy. That's not in dispute. Their breads are amazing, the Bienenstich is top tier (we're from Germany and have grown up with this cake), their donut game is dope.
The service and atmosphere leaves a little to be desired. The latter is the fault of them being an exceedingly popular location with inadequate parking and a small space for how intensely popular. I get why they haven't moved; it's the flagship location and if you're from the neighbourhood you know the history of the location so moving would be a bad choice.
The service though...yeah I'm left with the impression that their hiring managers perhaps have a bit of an implicit or explicit policy of hiring international students who are likely a bit vulnerable/naive to local labour laws. It's not like I'm sitting here going, "they're taking our jobs!", naw. I'm sitting here going, "jeez, I hope they're not taking advantage of their staff".
HUGE NOTE for Celiacs. If your autoimmune disorder isn't so bad that you're able to walk into a non-GF bakery, be advised their GF items are often on the bottom shelf of their display case. I politely suggested they keep their GF items on the top shelf so there is a lower likelihood of crumbs from non-GF items falling into the GF items. The gentleman at the till rolled his eyes, said, "really?" (his voice dripping with disbelief and a complete lack of caring) and then told me my total.
Listen, I get that it's perhaps unreasonable to expect a non-GF bakery to not have any cross contamination with their GF items, but maybe at least try? Also, I'm not 100% convinced their mango coconut mousse is, in fact, GF. I'm not Celiac (just gluten sensitive) so it's not a huge deal if I have a bit of white, refined flours but after not quite ⅓ of the mousse my stomach started feeling the way it feels after I have a forbidden bite of a donut or something.

Was in town for my husband's birthday and got the pistachio San Rival cake because my husband is gluten free. Called them and they were so helpful when ordering. The cake looked beautiful and tasted so amazing. Highly recommend this business.
If you are gluten-free, do not eat the banana bread. I did. I paid over $5 for it. It's not gluten-free. It's not even very good. And if gluten makes you sick, like it does me, trust me when I say you don't need to pay $5 for something that takes like sugar bread that will cause you gastro and other issues.
*In response to the reply by Trees, if gluten free products are cut and packaged in the same area where wheat flour products are, cross-contamination occurs. So any gluten free product handled in these areas will cause issues for your patrons.
For a fast food restaurant, it is excellent!!! Everything is so fresh and deliciously made!
My new go to place on Granville Street.
You get to choose your own burrito or salad.
They don’t have gluten free tortilla however you can get a bowl.

Ordered the GF bagel for my young daughter, recently diagnosed gluten intolerant we are always looking for new options in the area. I started making gf bagels at home, so we tried this sandwich from RRS and honestly weren’t very impressed with the quality for the price. Bagel was so small (hard to tell by the pic) that the insides of the bagel were spilling out everywhere, and the bagel itself was super tough/hard to bite. Left the tops of the mouth quite raw, will likely stick to the gf bagels at home!
Sollys is a dangerous place for someone who is trying to cut out gluten. Everything I've tried (and I've tried most things) is delicious here. Staff is friendly and to the point. Simple, and yummy.
