We were in the area and looking for somewhere tasty to go for lunch, and after seeing the reviews, we decided we wanted to come to blackies!
Even though we were a walk in, they were able to accommodate us and accommodate us, they did.
Most of the menu can be made GF, and there are pages, upon pages to this menu. Not only did I enjoy my meal (I got the French Onion Cheesesteak with Fries and it was SUPERB š¤š½), but my gluten eating family also had a meal. My Dad even said it was the BEST Ruben he's ever had (and he loves a ruben).
Since it was our first time there, our wonderful server was able to field all of my GF/Celiac-related questions with ease.
The restaurant is owned by two lovely women: one of whom has Celiac. They have dedicated fryers, AND they have separate kitchen tools (knives, utensils, cutting boards, aprons, etc.) for the preparation of GF meals. On top of all that, my food was brought out FIRST and SEPARATELY. Our server even brought out a new bottle of ketchup with my food so that there wasn't any CC.
I felt so well taken care of by the staff, and so safe while we were there, it was a new level of Celiac-care in this dining experience. I cannot more highly recommend blackies if you're ever in RI/Providence!!!
Massimo is always amazing! The food is delicious, incredible authentic Italian, with a full gluten free menu! The staff is attentive and so friendly, especially the Manager Anna, who always greets us warmly and welcomes us back. We happily travel over an hour to come here for date night and special occasions and itās always worth it! Highly recommend!
Separate gluten-free menu, many options, great procedures, bring gluten-free food out separately. A really fun atmosphere and a great dining experience.
We had a phenomenal time at the moorings! The food was impeccable, and the service by our server Allie and the manager on the floor tonight was fantastic. I have gluten and dairy allergies so finding places to eat that can accommodate both allergies can be pretty difficult ā especially when you are looking for something as specific as a gluten and dairy free lobster roll. This was my first time to Rhode Island and I had my heart set on having a phenomenal lobster roll bit wasnāt sure of the feasibilityā¦the mooring did not disappoint. We will 100% be back!
I had an incredible lunch here yesterday! I was pretty nervous since I haven't had pizza from a restaurant since my Celiac Disease diagnosis 4.5 years ago, but our server John was fantastic. He answered all my questions, double checked things when I asked, and put me totally at ease. He reassured me they take allergens very seriously, including a separate prep area AND a separate oven for GF pizzas! I had a 1/2 pesto margherita and 1/2 chicken bacon ranch pizza, both sides were equally delicious.
During my recent four-day stay at the Residence Inn while attending Flight Sim Expo 2025, I was so happy to discover that 110 Grill was conveniently attached right to the hotel. It felt like such a treat to have a quality dining spot just steps from my room, especially after long days exploring the expo.
The restaurant has a warm and modern atmosphere, with a stylish interior featuring sleek wood finishes, cozy lighting, and an inviting open kitchen concept that lets you watch the chefs in action. It is spacious yet comfortable, making it perfect for both solo dining at the bar and gathering with friends at a table.
One of the biggest highlights about 110 Grill is their dedication to accommodating dietary needs. They are known for having a completely gluten-free menu, right down to a separate fryer to avoid cross-contamination. As someone who appreciates when restaurants go the extra mile for their guests, I thought that was fantastic.
I came in around noon on Sunday, and the place was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful escape from the busy weekend crowds. The bartender was absolutely wonderful. Although she seemed to be the only person working the floor at the time, she managed everything with such grace and friendliness. She was attentive and so kind, and she mixed some amazing drinks.
I enjoyed a couple of their signature 110 Margaritas, and they were both fantastic, perfectly balanced with fresh citrus flavors and just the right amount of tequila kick. For my meal, I ordered the Apricot Shrimp Risotto along with a side Caesar salad, and it completely blew me away. The risotto was creamy and rich without being heavy or mushy, and I was delighted that there were no diced onions hiding in it, since I usually find they overpower the dish. The shrimp were large and tender, and the hint of sweetness from the apricot created a beautiful harmony of flavors. It was one of those meals that stays with you long after you have left town because it was genuinely that delicious.
Looking through the menu, I noticed that 110 Grill offers a great variety of dishes ranging from hearty steaks and burgers to creative seafood options and vibrant vegetarian plates. Their menu often features seasonal specials and locally inspired flavors, keeping things fresh and exciting. They also have an impressive cocktail list and a nice selection of wines and local craft beers, which makes it a great spot for both dinner and drinks.
Service, even during quiet times, felt warm and personal, and I appreciated how attentive the staff were to details, especially when it comes to food allergies or dietary preferences.
If you find yourself staying at the Residence Inn or anywhere nearby, or you simply want a delicious meal in a modern, comfortable setting, I highly recommend checking out 110 Grill. It was the perfect place to relax, indulge in a fantastic meal, and treat myself during my trip to Flight Sim Expo. I am already looking forward to coming back the next time I am in town.
Wow! The staff at this bakery is incredibly friendly and polite. The store itself is spotless and well-maintained. I tried the Cupcake of the Day, which was a Pineapple Dolewhip flavor, and it was absolutely delicious. It tasted like summer in a cupcake! They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, including gluten-free options. I will definitely be returning to try more of their cupcakes.

Really impressed by Legal Seafoods. They should have a higher rating than 3.3 on Yelp for sure. I know they have a lot of locations which is I didnāt have the highest hopes coming in.
The quality of the food was terrific and the service was excellent. Great portions as well.
It started with the hot/fresh rolls when we sat down. We all split the calamari - original style- which was fried nicely. However, this was the only dish that had a disappointing portion size. For close to $20, I expected more pieces.
I ordered the blackened yellowfin tuna ($41). It was cooked perfectly with nice flavor. However, my favorite part of the dish was the two sides I got with it. The curried vegetable medley was tasty, but the pad Thai style quinoa was out of this world! It had that typical pad Thai taste, and the amount given was super generous.
My mom ordered the crispy fish sandwich ($19). They were extremely considerate allowing her to sub out fries and coleslaw for other sides which more expensive. The fish sandwich was delicious as I had a few bites, but it couldāve used more fish itself.
I also had some of my Dadās Annaās Baked Haddock ($28.5). The piece was enormous. It mustāve taken up half of the plate and probably weigh a pound. The buttered crumb topping was delicious and the oven roasted broccoli was cooked very well.
We finished with the chocolate pudding cake ($12). It was incredibly moist and melts in your mouth. The texture was unbelievable. The molten center was fantastic and I wanted another after I finished. And I canāt believe it was gluten free.
We had an amazing waitress and she really knew how to do her job well. I think her name was Madison, sheās been working there over a year.
Itās very clean inside with a chill atmosphere and a huge bar in the middle.
Prices are on the higher side, but not too bad for a seafood centered restaurant.
Omg I loved this restaurant so much! They are so accommodating because my mom and I couldnāt have gluten, rice, beans, or corn so they let us know what everything we thought about ordering had before we ordered it. The oysters are the BEST, and I had the king crab which was so good and so filling. My mom ordered the blackened yellowfin tuna which was also so good. Delicious food and great service 10/10. Many servers came over to check on us to see if everything was okay. There are a few places to sit: under the tent, sun room, bar, upstairs. Nice view from each seat but mostly the sun room. Definitely will be coming back when Iām in Rhode Island again.
Nearly all items on the extensive menu can be made gluten free. I had fish and chips! Which was excellent. The fish was so fresh and tender, the chips were chip/French fries. I also got a little loaf of gluten free bread! Also amazing with the cinnamon maple butter. And if you are so fortunate enough to have the server Julianne, your whole experience will be made better. You will leave feeling happier and know she truly cared about your food and dining experience. Her knowledge about gluten free food, caring attitude and willingness to go above and beyond should well be noted. I love, love love everything about this restaurant and can't wait to go back, and hope that Julianne will be working. A++++
Great food and it's wonderful that they have so many gluten-free options. My wife lives the gluten-free general tsao amd the gluten-free Mongolian beef. They even do gluten-free sushi with gluten-free soy sauce.
The food was certainly the highlight of our visit to the Boat House - my lamb was quite good but my partnerās cod with grits was phenomenal and well balanced. The seven stars focaccia (always delicious in its own right) was elevated with an array of spreads - heavenly. For me, the show stopper was our cake - limoncello mascarpone - not something Iād usually go for but truly divine. And, gluten free! Drinks were solid - Negroni was excellent - and the service and location were good. 4.5 stars.
I was so over joyed to eat fish and chips out of a celiac safe deep fryer!! It tasted amazing and it was obvious they keep the oil very clean! I work in a kitchen and I know first hand how nasty deep fryers can get!! We went with friends that recently moved to Rhode Island and now we made a promise to go back to Celestial Cafe every time we visit! The chef even came out to check on us! We all loved our experience!
Came to Red Robin because they were very gluten friendly. Not any more. The menu no longer lists gluten free items. No gluten free buns. Fries were burnt stale and cold
This is the only chain where my friend with a gluten allergy has never (knock on wood) had an issue with cross-contamination. No matter which location we have gone to, the food is always good and the staff is always friendly. Highly recommend.
One of the oldest restaurants in Rhode Island, and New England, is located across from an autobody shop, diagonal from a cemetery, and sitting on a rural road that feels like it's from the 70s.
Please do not judge a book by its cover, or a restaurant by its outside. I've yet to fully discover all that the Carriage Inn fully is, but here is what I've found:
An expansive menu. There are cocktails, wine, beer, and 11 rotating drafts. The end has all the typical American fixings, with gluten-free options such as rolls and pasta to substitute.
An amazing presentation of food. One time, I bought a burger to-go. When I forgot to ask for gluten-free rolls. What was picked up was a toasted burger bun that should have been in a FOOD COMMERCIAL. Normally, I don't write in all caps, but this bun was...George Clooney in glutinous form. Props to the chef!
A nice atmosphere. Some of the conversation I impolite overheard at my.last visit included an elementary schooler celebrating their summer, a family discussing the merits of a three legged picnic table, and some guy who goes to bachelor parties. The seating arrangements are spacious, and the interior has a blend of modern and traditional decor.
A lot of potential. Between the comedy events and the potential fundraiser opportunities that the Carriage Inn provides, there is a lot to do here.
As Arnold once said, "I'll be back!"
P.S. I recommend the Monday evening special for 2!
The Indian receptionist at our hotel recommended this restaurant and with good reason. Plenty of gluten-free options like Potato Dosa appetiser and lots of vegetarian curries, like the aubergine one I ordered. Brown and pillau rice, and an interesting chickpea bread. Large portions of delicious, slightly spicy food. Very nice Lime Shrimp.
My partner and I, on a whim, stopped by the Coast Guard House while we were driving through Narragansett yesterday afternoon and were absolutely blown away! Not only by the incredible service, (shouts out to Peter) but also the food and wine list! Whoever is running the beverage program is not messing around! I also have a gluten allergy and itās rare to find such a large selection of gluten free options on a classic New England menu. Almost every dish on the menu could be made gluten free or was already gluten free, I was pumped. The linguini and clams might literally be the best Iāve ever had! Next to the incredible food was the insane wine list! My partner and I LOVE champagne and their list had some baller bottles. We ordered a delicious 1/2 bottle of Tarlant with lunch (we couldnāt resist). Also, if you have the funds they have Krug listed as well!! IYKYK! After lunch and champagne, the dessert list was dropped and once again all but one of the desserts were gluten free! They have a pastry chef (I believe her name is Chef Jamie) who comes in everyday at the crack of dawn to create some of these masterpieces. We ordered the honey Pot De CrĆØme with a glass of Moulin Touchais (dessert wine from 1984) and it took what was already a perfect lunch to the next level. Canāt wait to come back for more!
They were so accommodating and safe. They even got me a gluten free cheese empanada so I could have something while the rest of the table had the bread basket! They assured me of safe cooking in the kitchen to avoid any Cross contamination!
