I am not vegan or vegetarian. I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked zest. I got the mushroom alfredo pasta and it was so good. We also got nachos to share - which if you don’t think about it as nachos and more just a chip and dip dish then it’s delicious. The roll was also pretty good and the dessert was amazing
Amazing dairy free and gluten free options! They answered all my questions regarding the contents of the sauces (my allergies are pretty bad, and I am always so happy when people know what they are talking about.) I left feeling amazing & full! I got the rio bowl & their blueberry lavender kombucha.
I love the food at Vertical Diner. Everything is vegan and there are many clearly labeled gluten free options. Once in a while the service is “off,” but I’ve been going here for years and it is one of my favorite places to eat in SLC.
What a wonderful spot! If you are a gluten free person, this place is for you (especially with their dedicated fryer). Our server, Adrien, was phenomenal!
I love normal ice cream! They always have a gluten free AND dairy free option for me. It’s hard to find that for soft serve ice cream! On top of that their flavors are so thoughtfully made. They’re eclectic and bold, showing that their ice cream is more than dessert— it’s a culinary adventure! Even better, they have a new menu each month which really keeps things interesting and something to look forward to. Marketing hits the mark every time with their promos and always makes my mouth water. All of their staff are so kind and professional too, bringing an atmosphere of chill, easygoing fun. They know how to pile on the toppings and make a masterpiece at the same time *chef’s kiss*
I will forever love normal.
One of the best gluten free sushi places I have found. They have a big gf section of the menu, plus really good teriyaki sauce that is too. One of the main things we go here for is the gf salad dressing.
The sushi rolls were decent, but the fish was great on the nigiri.
Great food, lots of gluten-free, veg, and vegan options. If I could give 4 1/2 for service, I would. Just took a minute to get our order taken, but the food came out quick.
this place is NOT dedicated gluten free. I don't know what the alleged 'kitchen manager' is think by verifying this but it is not true. I reported to atly, but for anyone unaware please do not go here under the impression it's dedicated
First time at Cubby’s, and they’re missing the boat. Tacos should always have a corn tortilla option, especially for those who eat gluten free. I had to pick the tri-tip and toppings off the tacos, which I will say were tasty, but would have been much better in a corn tortilla. And would have been much more filling. Suggestion from a Texan, add corn tortillas please.
On a side note, the rosemary fries and fry sauce were good. And my hubby enjoyed the Gypsy burger quite a bit.
Also, the service was excellent.
And why is it 65 degrees in here? We had to get hoodies from the car.
Very busy for dinner time, however the server was very helpful and attentive. She made sure to go over the cheeses and the types of food they serve since was our first time. Amazing pizzas. They were able to accommodate a special diet vegetarian and a gluten allergy with no issues. Love that you can choose from either sitting inside or outside to sit. The drink menu is extensive with soo many choices and varieties. You can even build your own pizza. Great place to try. Highly recommend!!
First visit to the Pie Pizzeria, opted for a simple pepperoni 12 inch pizza - delicious, friend opted for gluten free cheesy pull-apart bread - also amazing (which is a surprise as decent GF bread is hard to come by!).
Was only in town for a couple of days, will definitely return if I'm back in SLC.

Court was so helpful in finding me multiple options to eat. I have food, allergies, to gluten, dairy, and soy. They were very accommodating and the food was delicious.
Cupla Coffee is literally a hidden gem. It's in the basement of a building, but it has a lot of light coming in from the windowed roof. There's a nice variety of food for vegans, keto, and gluten free.
I fell in love with this place. It's a shame I was in a hurry today because the warm welcoming atmosphere made me want to kick back and spend the rest of my afternoon here. The food was delicious and actually gluten free! The matcha and strawberry ice latte? Refreshing and well balanced. I can't wait to bring my favorite people here for some great food, drinks, and conversation.

Placed an order for a gluten free burger because I’m a celiac. The burger they sent with us was not gluten free. We didn’t know until after I had already taken a bite. Thanks for the screw over.
The quintessential hipster coffee shop experience. Friendly staff, lively atmosphere with lots of people, but not over-the-top crowded. Lots of options for lots of different types of people. Several gluten-free options, which was a nice surprise.
Dali Crepes is delicious. The servers were very accommodating and friendly. The food came out all at the same time and was as ordered. The presentation is beautiful and the serving sizes are substantial. The only negative, which was major for us, was that it advertises to have gluten free options, but it is not safe for celiacs as they use the same crepe grills for all crepes, so they are cross-contaminated. There are very few actual gluten free options at this restaurant.
We love Caffe Molise! It's our go-to date night spot in SLC! We have enjoyed many dishes on the menu and have loved every one. My favorite have been their salmon specials (especially the lemon curry salmon), my husband loves the pasta. The cheesecake is incredible.
Our most recent visit we brought friends who needed accommodations for celiac (gluten-free) and the restaurant was amazing! Very gluten-free friendly!
I really liked the place it was super cozy. I asked for almond milk since I have a gluten and dairy allergy and she made it with oat milk and then MY COUSIN CAUGHT THE MISTAKE AND THEN SHE changed it to almond milk . I went down to ask for vanilla for flavor and sweetness they gave me vanilla extract and didn't say anything to me . I still liked the place and I would give it a try when I visit again.

I might be a bit biased, but I love the Bayou! We’ve consistently received good service, and both the food and drinks are delicious. They offer gluten-free options on their menu, and during our last visit, our server was incredibly helpful in finding me something safe to eat. It’s one of my favorite spots for a tasty meal.
Well, I like their pizzas but this is disappointing: I couldn't get them on the phone so I ordered online, and made sure to leave my phone number just in case. Only when I picked up the pizzas I learned they were out of gluten free dough (and I had to ask) and basically just substituted to non gluten free (quite the inconvenience for my celiac friend, it's not like we requested it for fun). They didn't even ask me if I would prefer a refund and not get a pizza I basically did not order. Probably a good place to eat at, but they need to figure out their online ordering system or answer the phone, and just stop offering it if they can't get it together... I want to be considerate of how hard it is to run a restaurant, but this didn't feel great.
So yummy 😋 😍 😊 ☺️ 💕 🤗 😋 😍 😊 ☺️ 💕 🤗 😋 😍 😊 ☺️ ( I took my daughter here for breakfast on her 9th birthday and the above is her review of the place. It has a calm atmosphere, and the food is amazing and has amazing gluten free options)
Tasty, healthy, affordable fast food. This is our go-to for takeout (eat-in atmosphere is blah). Great for anyone with dietary restrictions—it's easy to get a balanced vegan meal, or to avoid gluten (which they keep out of most of their staple sauces & mains). Zao is much better than most of the food available in this neighborhood (except Piko, which is a whole other ballgame).

It is inspired by the Italian Mediterranean style of cooking, with dishes that use fresh ingredients. It includes steaks, chops, seafood, pastas and breads prepared in an authentic Italian wood-fired oven.
They offer a vegetarian menu and also for people with gluten intolerance.
Exquisite chicken pizzaiolo.
Baked chicken and portobello mushrooms with melted provolone. Served with spaghetti with butter and herbs on the side.
Good attention. Recommended!!
Gluten free pancakes were so good! My husband had the stuffed French toast,v which he loved. I stole some of his "stuffing," a delicious creamy concoction, and put it on my pancakes. So good! Next time I would ask if we could get stuffed GF pancakes. Huge portions. Can get a single pancake as one of the sides with the egg dishes. Pretty much of a diner atmosphere. Server refilled my decaf coffee with regular, but I caught it. She was sweet but nothing special as far as service.
This was a location near me that had gluten free options, so we went and fell in love the place. Our waitress, Jamie, was amazing. She was super helpful and knowledgeable about everything. I really appreciate her and the food was delicious! I definitely recommend this place.
Honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever had. The teriyaki steak plate was absolutely horrible (a pile of steamed, unseasoned veggies, old rice and a tiny piece of “steak”), the California roll was edible but the rainbow roll looked and tasted off like the fish was old. I’ve never had to force myself to eat sushi before. They do have good gluten free options though.
I feel guilty posting a review this bad about a local restaurant but the owner really needs to be aware how bad the food they’re serving here is. We’ve eaten at other Tsunami locations and they were pretty good but this one was horrible.
They have delicious gluten free buns (that don’t crumble and fall apart, IYKY), and their fries are in their own dedicated fryer. The food was so good I came back the next day. Highly recommend for my fellow gluten free eaters.
Having multiple dietary restrictions the menu here was very accommodating. The gluten free english muffins was good, and my wife and son found the vegan options very good. My whole party was very pleased with our food and the service was great. When visiting the area we will definently come back to the Lazy Day cafe!
It's like Chipotle, but for poké. I like building my own sushi burrito and getting a boba tea. They offer raw, seared and cooked fish/meat. They offer gluten-free sauce options and are very helpful if you have no idea what you want to create. I was very overwhelmed the first time I went, but after the second time I knew what to do and what flavors I wanted. They were very friendly each time I have come with my family. The fish is fresh and the boba is fantastic. Don't be thrown off by the construction going on, they are open!
Edit: TLDR - HEAVY CAUTION FOR CELIACS OR GLUTEN SENSITIVE. I'm not changing the star rating because I can't be entirely sure. I had a 'gluten free' brownie while I was there. It was on a tray marked gluten free and had a gluten free sticker on it. I have Celiac Disease and within 2-3 hours I was violently ill. Think worst stomach flu you've ever had in your life sick. I ended up going to urgent care and was about two hours away from needing IV fluids if Zofran hadn't helped with the nausea enough to keep liquids down. I can't be entirely sure this wasn't just a stomach flu except for that I'm still experiencing the less severe symptoms of gluten exposure (migraine, nausea, crippling abdominal pain, but not hospital level). For those who don't have a Celiac in your life - in order for my symptoms to be this severe, it's not just a microscopic amount of cross contamination, it's a completely careless or malicious mislabeling of product. Again, I can't be 100% sure, but this is now 4 days later and I'm still miserable which has never happened to me with a regular stomach flu.
We like supporting local, but honestly we could have gotten better coffee at Starbucks and had a shorter drive. And I really don't like Starbucks much. This place was fine. That's pretty much all. Lukewarm coffee, mediocre pastry.
We've been going here for a while now. My husband happens to know the owners and their staff is super nice every time we go in. I love how authentic their Pakistani food is and the spice level is insane! Our favorites to get is the curry chicken, any of their veggies and of course, the samosas. Thank you for staying throughout the years and sticking around through the pandemic. I wish them nothing but continued success. If you are visiting Utah and want to try something different and you are in a "hurry" this place is for you! PS: all of their curry is gluten free.
