Delicious gluten-free pancakes! They arrived hot, fresh, and full of flavor — definitely one of the better gluten-free options we’ve had. The texture was soft and fluffy, not dry or crumbly like many gluten-free versions. Service was quick, and everything came out fast and warm. It is quite expensive for what you get, but if you’re looking for a tasty gluten-free treat, it’s definitely worth trying at least once.

Mouyan Curry is located in Kabukicho, Shinjuku. It's great to be able to eat gluten-free curry. I ordered the three-meat curry (beef tendon, pork, and dry). The two potatoes, fukujinzuke pickles, smoked pickled radish, and onion and rakkyo are all self-service and I was full.

Excellent burgers and very interesting desserts, they also have gluten-free sandwiches so they can satisfy even those who need gluten-free. Service as always friendly, water included, prices slightly higher than average but worth it.

Great tacos. Really good value and very fast. Many options are gluten free which is why I tried this place. Staff speak English. This place has a bar with 4-5 stools inside for dining in, and another two tables outside. They have a bigger restaurant about 5 minutes walk away with a bigger indoor dining area.

Really loved this place! I’m a very sensitive coeliac but despite the small risk of cross contamination I was totally fine and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I even ordered a dessert crepe afterwards seeing as the ice cream was gf too! Service was quick and the staff were lovely - I was informed that they had cleaned the plate they cook the crepes on but that they couldn’t guarantee it was safe - which was nice to see they understand the severity of coeliac and still try to accomodate! Safe to say it was well worth the slight risk

Located in a quiet residential area near Daikanyama, "Yama no Hitsuji" is a gluten-free & medicinal food cafe run by a medicinal food chef. It's a short walk from both Daikanyama and Ebisu stations, and is a hidden gem that suddenly appears in a residential area. There's a sign outside, so don't miss it; just walk in and you'll find the shop in a house one block away. The side dish plate (1,500 yen including tax, changes weekly) uses plenty of seasonal vegetables, and all of them are healthy and delicious. The attention to detail, such as black rice and gluten-free soy sauce, is outstanding. The food is served a little slowly, so it's best to go with plenty of time. The portions of the main meat dish are large, and even men will be full. The interior of the store is dotted with sheep motifs, and the mascot dog "Komugi" will greet you. He barks a lot (lol). You can also bring your pet. There are counter seats equipped with power outlets, and it is a relaxing space where time flows at a leisurely pace. This is a place that is recommended not only for health-conscious people, but also for those who want to restore their mind and body. Only cash is accepted, and electronic payments and cards are not accepted.

Enjoyed a really wonderful first meal in Tokyo here. As a coeliac, I was nervous but the staff were understanding of my dietary requirements and I enjoyed really delicious meat/vegetables/rice. It was a bit pricey but made sense based on the high quality of ingredients. Would highly recommend 😁

A very popular shop with long lines for its top quality sweets and soup curry. A soup curry restaurant in Shimokitazawa that has long lines even on weekdays. The sweets here are also exquisite, so we also recommend using the cafe. I went with 2 people. The tandoori chicken is an authentic dish that has been marinated well and has a lot of flavor. It was delicious and I finished it. “202 Curry-do” is a soup curry and sweets shop that will open in December 2021. The owner of the shop, which quickly became popular, is Mr. Hori, who is from Hokkaido. A talented person who trained at a soup curry restaurant for 13 years. The location is on the 2nd floor of Seijo Ishii near the Shimokitazawa West Exit of the Inokashira Line. The interior of the store is decorated with houseplants and dried flowers, creating a modern and calm atmosphere. There are three types of self-serve water: pink mixed berry water, pale yellow lemon water, and regular water. There are two types of curry soups to choose from: rich tomato and dark coconut, and the spiciness ranges from 0 to 30. Rice is usually large, small, or absent. I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free. They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free. However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it. If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.

Ordered the lunch buffet. It is a system where you can choose whether you want one serving, refills, or unlimited. This time I only had one refill. For curry, you can get one refill of spinach, spicy foods, and many salads from the main dish. Coffee and rooibos tea are all you can drink. Tandoori chicken is limited to 2 pieces per serving, so it's plump, super delicious, and addictive. The udon noodles are smooth and chewy, filling and delicious. The curry is gluten-free, low-calorie, and has a nice spicy sweetness. It was delicious with steamy skinned potatoes. Payment can be made in advance at the ticket vending machine and PayPal is also available.

We wanted to try the mochi(next to this place) and since hungry and found availability we entered and tried their delicious gluten free pancakes with salad & the gluten-free vegan bento, even if we are not vegans 🥴 but I can say it was delicious! A bit expensive but the personnel were nice, good food, cozy place mostly central and especially gluten-free!!! I recommend the bento! Thank you for preparing these goodies for us coeliacs! We are very happy to be able to taste it! 😄

I made a reservation for afternoon tea. The interior and atmosphere of the store was very cute. However, the attitude of the staff was so inappropriate that I couldn't believe they were in the customer service industry, which is a shame. I was given a seat in a semi-private room in the back, but even though there were 4 or 5 staff members, they were all stuck at the counter and didn't notice that I wanted to order. I was worried because there was no reaction even though he was clearly looking at me. When he brought me the afternoon tea set, he forced me to put it on top of the cutlery and almost knocked it over. Almost all gluten-free sweets made with rice flour and other ingredients are not tasty and hard. It's really just a look. I thought it was something like this because it was cheap. Are you in a bad mood because the staff at the store don't smile all the time and keep busying you? ? That's what it felt like. I wonder if there will be a second time.

Nice place with a cozy atmosphere. They have gluten free soy sauce and they can understand your request for gluten free. However, you need to check with the chef the food when it comes to your table to guarantee there is no gluten by mistake.
