While staying at the Hyatt, I found this place online for a friend with gluten allergies. There were many doubts and some in our group wanted to turn back as we walked there. Man were we happy we didn't listen to the naysayers! This place was awesome! The outside doesn't look great but the inside is very quaint. The staff were very nice and the food was simply amazing. Most of the group went back the following day.

We came here to celebrate our son's 23rd birthday as well as his upcoming graduation from The Culinary Institute of America, and it was well worth every cent! We did the tasting menu and shared everything family style. The food is dairy and gluten free as well as plant-forward. That said, the braised shirt ribs did not disappoint. We left full and happy. If you're dining with someone who doesn't like vegetables, bring them here to change their mind.

Three of us had a late lunch here today and the food was fantastic. One of our party members has celiac so the menu being almost completely gluten free without having to ask for substitutions was why we gave it a try. We tried the mozzarella sticks, fish and chips, banger and mash and finally the sticky toffee pudding cake. Everything came out very hot and delicious with generous portions even from the lunch menu. Service was great as well. She knew the dish’s ingredient information and was very kind and attentive.

The cupcakes are pretty good, rarely they can be a little dense/dry but they are almost always great! I reccomend the red velvet, lemon, and soft pink extra! The quiche and almond cake are outstanding. For a bakery they have lots of gluten free options. Not just some cupackes, but brownies, monster cookies and almond cake? Wow! It is pricey but I'd say it is worth it. Make sure to call ahead to see what gluten free is available if you want gluten free.

This bakery makes me so happy. I can eat everything on their menu, and I always stock up on bread when I can swing by. (Best tasting gluten free bread I've found locally.) Always excited to try their rotating aura cupcakes for a nice twist, but my favs are the strawberry abyss and their swiss rolls. We've ordered a cake from them, and they did a wonderful job. (We'll likely order again.) Go stuff your face and smash the pastriarchy in one fell swoop. You won't regret it.

My husband was recently diagnosed with Celiac and I found Sweet Charli Bakery when searching for a gluten free red velvet cake in Austin to continue our pre-Celiac tradition. My daughter has celiac and we are always looking for decent basic bread options. We were both very happy with the rolls and white bread from Pie Jacked! Nice texture and much better than the store bought breads. Definitely recommend stopping in for some breads to go The location is small, and the staff was not very friendly, but the food is good.

This was a WOW for me. We were just passing through and asked some locals for a breakfast cafe nearby. We were to Bluebonnet Cafe and Tea Thyme Cafe. Once they said they offered gluten-free options, I was sold. If a place offers gluten-free options, they are sure to offer lots of fruit and veggie options and be very careful with their menu. I’m so glad we chose this one. The staff was SO kind and patient. The omelette was THE BEST I’ve ever had, with so many veggies, real eggs, and mozzarella cheese. I’ve never had an omelette with mozzarella cheese before. They also had a side called “enchanted mushrooms” and it was so amazing in flavor. I wish we had this restaurant back home. I’d be there weekly!

I ordered gluten free items on the menu (told the server I have Celiac - he said he had a celiac button on the register). The food did not come out with the gluten free flags. As someone with celiac, this is a great comfort to know the food was prepped with caution and not mixed up in the kitchen!

Comedor in downtown Austin blew us away when we visited earlier this year! The modern Mexican cuisine is nothing short of a culinary adventure, with flavors that dance on your palate. Oliva popped into our google search while we were in Ft. Worth. When we saw it had gluten-free options, we decided to try it out. The restaurant was packed upon arrival, and we were told it was Graduation Weekend. We were seated within just a few minutes of our arrival. I asked for the gluten-free menu - a lot of options on it, including desserts. However, the menu item I ordered came out with spaghetti noodles instead of linguine, without warning. I chose not to say anything because pasta is pasta. I also ordered the minestrone and was surprised by the huge portion. It tasted good and was gluten-free - no pasta or beans in the minestrone, so basically vegetable soup. My husband ordered the tortellini with chicken, and while there was ample chicken, there were few vegetables on the dish. I found the same problem with my meal - a vegetarian option, with very few veggies and mostly pasta. The pasta was swimming in water, which might be traditional, but if you like your pasta 'drier,' you'll need to ask them to drain it before placing it into the dish. Plenty of leftovers to take home - had 2 more small meals from them. Oliva is well-lit when sitting in the front room or near the windows, but very dim near the back of it, toward the bathrooms and kitchen. The furniture is nothing special - the use of plastic placemats instead of tablecloths is not impressive. The service was good, and everyone appeared to be very busy, friendly, and willing. If you imbibe in Limoncello, you don't want to miss the housemade! It is served in a cordial glass, ice cold, and very refreshing. Overall, I feel this is a nice, casual, family eatery that has confidence in the service of their clientele. Oliva has plenty of options, and the food and service are good while not being overly pricey.

Really cool place in downtown Tomball. We went there because my neutered heard there were gluten free options, and she wasn't misinformed! Tons of pastries, desserts and sandwiches that I could actually eat. Highly recommend.

This was my second amazing meal at Uchi Austin! This time I brought even more people. For our visit to Austin, I put Uchi high on my must—dine list because the flavors were so memorable. Everything was delicious. Sour, umami, spicy, herbaceous, sweet-- they covered every note. We ordered a variety and took recommendations from our wonderful waiter (Armin? Armon? - I should have gotten the spelling). Two of us are gluten free, and two of us don’t even like seafood generally, and we still loved it. Most of the menu can be gluten free (get the ponzu sauce!). What a great memory.

I can’t say enough good things, every experience I’ve had here has been great. I’m gluten free and visit family in Galveston a couple of times a year but just found this place. Everyone has been so helpful when I’ve had questions. I’ve tried the gluten free pop tart, gluten free cinnamon roll, gluten free key lime pie, and gluten free vegan meatball pocket and gf v curry pocket and it’s all been soooooo delicious. It’s all so flaky and moist and some of the best gf pastries I’ve ever had. Their matcha is fine, kind of bland and too sweet but their iced tea is tasty especially when paired with a nice sweet treat. Cannot recommend this place enough and I’m so glad it exists!

As a long time customer of True Food Kitchen - for more than 4 years - what initially interested us was the healthy non GMO, Gluten Free menu that does not use unhealthy seed oils (like Canola/Rapeseed Oil) in its food preparation. Since then, True Food has made some slight changes to its menus, including the use of controversial Vital Farms products as well as changes to its gluten friendly pizza dough and hamburger buns, however the one thing that has NOT changed - and is the best part of the restaurant: its employees. Ask for Chantal, Yuyu or Aaron - those are three of the best restaurant professionals you will ever meet! Their can do attitude, combined with their amazing ability to connect with customers is the REAL secret weapon at True Food Kitchen on PostOak. My family can eat at any restaurant in Houston, but we choose to eat at True Food Kitchen on Post Oak because we are always given excellent service and shown kindness when we eat there. Every restaurant should figure out how those three team members work, and copy it exactly - as a customer you leave having had a good meal, and GREAT service. Kindness, always served with a smile - and if there is any problem at all with your order, they are always quick to rectify the situation. You will never sit around with an empty glass of tea if you are being served by Aaron, Chantal or Yuyu. They always put the customer first - which is why, as long as they are working at TrueFood, we will always eat there! Give it a try - and ask to sit in their sections - you will have the best dining experience ever! Thank you Chantal, Yuyu and Aaron!!

My wedding cake from Unrefined Bakery was a huge success! Their team was helpful from the get go helping me design a wedding cake, taking into consideration my budget and guest count. The cake tasting was incredibly helpful, and we ultimately went with a strawberry vanilla 2-tier cake. They even provided me extra icing in case the cake got bumped in transit (which it did!) and I needed to patch it up. We ended up only having a few pieces left because all of our guests loved the cake. Would highly recommend for anyone gluten-free or not!

⚠️ BEWARE IF YOU HAVE CELIAC DISEASE ⚠️ If you have celiac disease or a serious gluten allergy, please be extremely cautious eating here. This was my first visit, and unfortunately, my medical needs were completely disregarded. I clearly stated that I needed a gluten-free kolache, but I was still served one made with wheat. When I returned to let them know, the woman who took my order showed no sympathy, offered no apology, and made no effort to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. This kind of negligence could lead to serious health consequences, and it’s unacceptable for staff to be so careless and dismissive when it comes to dietary restrictions that involve medical conditions. Despite the horrible service, I will say the cupcakes were actually very good. But unfortunately, that alone isn’t enough to make up for the risk they put my health in.

Overall, the atmosphere is fairly nice with very kind and friendly wait staff. True Food Kitchen has a well rounded menu with accommodates for vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan with clearly labled dishes for such. Additionally, the flavor profile is fairly diverse so if you are vegan like me, you will not be restricted to a single option and have a few choices to make.

As someone with celiac disease, finding safe and delicious gluten-free options can be a challenge, but Pondicheri absolutely delivers! Their menu has so many naturally gluten-free dishes, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. It’s such a relief to enjoy incredible Indian-inspired food without worrying about cross-contamination. Everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting, making it a great spot for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. They hype was real! Typically Im not a fan of order at the counter type places, but I’m willing to get over it for this place. I had the chicken kebab bowl and of course had the Mac n’ Cheese because that’s all I’ve been hearing I about. Everything was amazing, and I cannot believe how good the Mac n’ Cheese is for being gluten free.

We have had this restaurant on our list for a long time and it did not disappoint! Every single bite of food that we took was packed with flavor and was super tasteful. The menu was 100% gluten-free and had so many different options to choose from. Just a note, the time it takes to get your food after ordering it may take a little bit, but the wait is well worth it! The vibe was relaxed and mellow, perfect for having a conversation over drinks and small bites. For dessert we had the tres leches with a homemade meringue on top. It was a fantastic way to top off a great dinner!

Great donuts, lots of vegan and gluten free options. I wish I had found this place sooner. I recently tried something other than the donuts here, wow. The macarons are perfection. I went to pick up some as a treat for the office and also got myself a kolache. Everyone was raving about how good the macarons and cake balls were. The kolache was amazing, the texture and flavor were masterful.
