I went to Chicago on a road trip and came across this gem. Gave me and my party not just amazing service, but above and beyond service. They offer a bunch of gluten free options too, even asking before ordering to ensure its not a dietary or allergen concern for anyone in the group. Not necessary for our group, but a notable mention that stood out for those who might want that info. We were exhausted from a long day's exploration of the city and came in late at night to eat with someone in my party's craving for deep dish.
Food was delicious and made fresh to order, the front of house team member was very attentive and gave us the best experience. Food was delicious, portions were more than (plenty for leftovers) and the presentation was beautifully done. We ended up stopping by again before we left the next day, with the same superb dine in meal from the team that morning.
From our visits we got loaded fries, regular fries, buffalo wings, deep dish pizza (twice), fettuccine alfredo (twice), cheesy garlic bread and one of their gourmet
toasted foccacia sandwiches. I can't speak highly enough of every bit of food we recieved. They deliver such quality ingredients and it shows. If you're in Chicago, this place is a must. I will definitely come back next trip.

An outrageously delicious & positive experience eating lunch here today. Mia took exceptionally good care of us – my mom is celiac, and was so thrilled with the level of attention and care she got. On top of that, the food was showstoppingly good! The chicken kebabs, falafel, hamachi and hummus were all 10/10.

One star for the gluten free pizza crust. It was terrible. Rice paste is what is used and that made for the crust to be “chewy” while hot. When cooling down, pizza is rock hard. Maybe they should try using cauliflower crust.

We drive all the way from Lake Geneva, Wi (1.5 hours) to come here. I have celiac and their gluten free pizza is phenomenal. The true star of the show is the Eloté dip- you will be craving it for months after you have it! Whenever we’re in the area for a concert or trip, we make sure to stop. Highly recommend!! We were in Chicago for business. My friend has severe allergies, gluten, nuts, strawberries, eggs. We selected Mon Ami Gabi based on options for gluten free. We made reservation and arrived about 20 minutes early. Entrance to the hotel is gorgeous. Front desk was friendly and helpful. Making sure we parked at the correct valet location (there's 2 one for residence one for restaurant. They brought us to the bar while we waited for seating. Barkeep was very friendly and very efficient. We didn't wait more then 20 minutes for our table. We were seated and we ensured they were aware of the concerns for gluten and other allergens. Waiter already was aware thanks to OpenTable reservation, I'd added a comment so they'd know ahead. They were extremely considerate pointed out the dishes that are GF. We skipped an appetizer and ordered dinner. The wait staff were friendly without being overly. Food was delivered quickly and cooked to perfection. I ordered medium rare beef and my friend ordered salmon almondine(without the almonds). Food was flavorful and delicious. Not only was our server attentive but the other staff ensured we were comfortable, well taken care of, and had everything we needed. They cleared dishes and glasses quietly while you ate without being distributive and made sure the water glasses were always full. I'd highly recommend the restaurant if you're in the area. For a Thursday the place was Busy. Reservations highly recommended. A mixture of date nights, family dinners (with younger kids) special occasions. Some folks were dressed up others in flannels and it all worked.

I am so happy we stopped here for dinner. The staff were knowledgeable and so kind to me when I told them of my gluten and dairy allergies. Service was amazing and the food was sublime. I missed eating Italian for fear of cross contamination but they reassured me pasta were cooked separately. What a lovely place! I will be revisiting when I'm back in town.

I was looking forward to eating here after an overnight flight because I have a gluten allergy (celiac) and this place had a lot of really good reviews (both here & other sources) about being accommodating.
Unfortunately, my experience wasn't like any of the previous reviews. The person asked if I actually have celiac, which was encouraging, but otherwise didn't seem to care and wasn't willing to take any additional precautions that others have reported (glove changing, etc.). I was hangry, and even though ORD is notorious for its lack of GF food options (it's embarrassing for an airport of this size), I didn't want to give them my business after that interaction. Hopefully I just got unlucky with who happened to be working at the time but still rather disappointing.
So, if you're looking for GF options while passing through ORD, I'd still give this place a try, just know that it's not a slam dunk and you might have to go elsewhere.

Maggiano was great! Not only was the food delicious, the service was excellent. I had the chicken saltimbocca. When seated, the waiter asked about if anyone had any food sensitivities and I’m severely gluten intolerant. He then invited the chef to come out to talk to me about my allergies/ sensitivity which was pleasantly surprising. Most chefs never do that.
Overall, my boyfriend and I had a great time eating here. I’ll definitely come back again the next time I get to visit Chicago.

My girlfriend and I recently visited Galit for dinner. We were seated at the kitchen counter. We both had the set 4-course menu. My girlfriend ordered a cocktail before dinner and we had one glass of wine each with dinner. The service was efficient, but seemed rushed. The hummus and mezze courses were good. But we were disappointed with both of the main courses. The walleye was dry and luke warm. The mushroom schnitzel was soaked in a brownish gravy and did not taste very good. The dessert was good, but we were surprised that we had to share one dessert, considering the high price we were paying. The fixed price, 4-course menu price was $94 per person, which becomes $125 per person when you add the mandatory 20% service charge and 3% employee benefits contribution plus the 10% sales tax. Our total bill came to $337. In our opinion the quality of the meal did not justify this high price. To make matters worse, my girlfriend had a gluten reaction even though we had informed the server about her gluten sensitivity and ordered only those items that he had marked as gluten-free. Still, she had a pretty bad reaction that lasted two days. In our opinion, it was an over-priced meal, which we did not enjoy very much.

The menu, crafted by Chef Lee Wolen, presents modern American cuisine with some creative touches, including a few vegetarian and gluten-free options. One of our friends is gluten-intolerant, and the restaurant was able to accommodate this seamlessly, which we appreciated. While the food was well-prepared and enjoyable, it didn’t leave a lasting impression—good but not remarkable for the price point.
Ambiance, Accessibility, & Family-Friendliness:
Boka’s chic and serene interior makes it an appealing spot for an adult night out, but it’s not particularly suited for families with kids. Accessibility is a downside, especially when it comes to the restrooms, which could be challenging for guests with mobility needs, even though they were spotless.
Service & Valet:
The service was attentive and courteous, adding to the refined experience. We also took advantage of the valet service, which was $17 and cash-only—something to keep in mind if you plan to drive. For Restaurant Week and to celebrate our anniversary, my girlfriend and I came down to Trivoli Tavern for a starter, an entree, a side, and a dessert.
For the starters, we had the sushi rolls. I had the crispy shrimp roll and I really enjoyed it. Usually I’m not a huge fan of avocado in things since a lot of dishes tend to overemphasize it, but the flavoring here was subtle and actually enhanced the roll. My girlfriend who is celiac could not have the crispy shrimp roll but they were kind enough to substitute that out for a gluten-free cucumber roll that she really enjoyed.
For the mains, I had steak and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked wonderfully and every bite was tender and delicious. My girlfriend had the gluten-free vodka rigatoni. A lot of gluten-free pastas are notoriously a little off but this one tasted incredible. She was also able to have French fries since they have a dedicated gluten-free fryer.
For dessert, I got the key lime pie. Even though I could barely fit anything else in my stomach after the rest of the meal, it was too tasty not to scarf down. Also, since we were celebrating our anniversary, they gave a complimentary ice cream with chocolate sauce.
Overall, I had a great dining experience at Trivoli Tavern. The staff’s attention to detail when accommodating my girlfriend’s dietary restrictions was extremely comforting. I’d love to come back again soon.
