The food was delicious! Cute atmosphere. They were able to accommodate my gluten free mod to the salmon Benedict. 😋 The hot chai was ok but not exceptional.

My go to at The Cupboard is the veggie plate. I have eating restrictions (gluten free is one) that keep me from enjoying many of their menu items. However, I do remember how good those little cornbread muffins were when I could eat them years ago. The Turnip greens are fresh and not bitter. Their beans and peas are cooked, not just warmed up from a can, but they are not cooked to mush. The service is generally slow, but friendly. Be prepared to wait on your food, your check, and in the line at the cash register to pay. During the summer you can pick up some fresh tomatoes near the register along with some jellies and honey.

Omg what a fun place! Our friend suggested it and so glad she did. We are traveling and have our dog…no problem, as a matter of fact they LOVED her. Definitely have a Jameson Slushie while you are there and also you can ask for a lettuce wrap on your slider if you are gluten free or keto.

Lafayette Music room was the place we went to to meet mutual friends that we had known for years who were located here in Memphis. I didn't know what to expect about this place because this wasn't one of the places that was on my list of things to do. This place was actually located maybe a mile from the Airbnb that I was staying at so it was perfect as far as location which is in Midtown. We got there relatively early about 4:00 on a weekday. It was next to empty when we got there however it soon filled up with people. We ordered drinks we order appetizers and we eventually ordered food. We all liked our food for the most part and there was plenty of it. I have it listed at the end. What we didn't know we were going to like but did was the live music band. The band was everything. Since we were a table of 50 something women it was right in point for them to sing 80's music. I have to say I started singing, clapping and enjoying the music from my high school years. The guys singing in the band were our age as well and they could sing. Like really sing. Fried Calamari Served with fried banana peppers, roasted red peppers, and sriracha mayo- It took forever for this to come out for some reason. I'm grateful it was a lot of us talking so much that we dang near didn't pay attention but yes it took a long time for an appetizer. The server kept checking on us and apologizing however. The calamari was seasoned so we'll and was so good. SMOKED STEAK SANDWICH 20 House smoked sirloin served with horseradish cream, provolone cheese, roasted red peppers, caramelized onion, arugula on a toasted Gambino Hoagie OVERTON BURGER 16 Two 4oz. Angus beef patties, pepperjack cheese, bacon, fried onions, lettuce, tomato, Sriracha mayonnaise. MAPLE BACON BRUSSELS SPROUTS 8 *Gluten Free BROCCOLINI Smoked tomato vinaigrette, pecorino romano 9*Gluten Free SHRIMP STREET TACOS 13 *Spicy Filled with blackened shrimp, slaw, Cotija cheese, tomatillo sauce, sour cream, cilantro LAFAYETTE’S HOUSE SALAD 11 *Gluten Free & Vegetarian Mesclun mix, roasted tomatoes, chopped cucumber, shaved vidalia onion, feta cheese, choice of dressing

Great stop for pastries and amazing bread! Gluten free options as well! They also had Passover items that you can order. Friendly staff as well....if you're in the neighborhood, definitely stop!!!
