Without a doubt one of the best places to eat gluten-free. They have many options including cocido lebaniego and montañés (which if you are celiac you will know that it is very difficult to find the gluten free version). They are very professional and perfectly control the issue of cross contamination. Without a doubt, when I return to Potes I will return to this restaurant. We went to eat on Saturday March 23 because we had seen online that the food was very good, but above all because celiacs would have no problems eating. Everything I can express here falls short of the experience we have had, my 6-year-old daughter, who has celiac disease, was delighted, she had 5 or 6 starters to choose from and another 5 or 6 seconds, plus dessert, incredible. For non-celiacs, maybe 6 or 7 first ones and as many seconds. The food is delicious, it is homemade food and you can see the dedication and care with which they make it. My daughter ate paella which she loved, we tried it and it was delicious, we ate mountain stew which was to die for and my wife ate lasagna which was also delicious. For the main course we had a hamburger with cheese and jalapeños, which was also very good. We were so delighted that today the 26th we went to eat again. My daughter ate lentils today, needless to say, she said again how delicious they were. The staff that works are charming, attentive, it's like you're eating as a family. Thanks for everything. When we return to Cantabria, we will go to eat again. Don't hesitate to go eat there.

I give 4 stars instead of 5 because the menu on the weekend is not offered in its entirety. For example, you can't have hamburgers. They also do not offer a weekend menu. Otherwise the food and service were very good. They also offer a menu for celiacs.

The food was good but we ordered gluten-free and despite it being delicious there must have been cross contamination and both of us with celiac disease got sick. It is important that if there are gluten-free options there is no contamination because then it is like not having options for celiacs. When you go to a place that has half the menu with gluten-free options, you trust it and think that it is going to be done well. It's annoying because it's not easy to find places with gluten-free options.

There is NO longer any gluten-free offering, what's more, their waitresses are not trained in this subject. We had breakfast inside the premises at less than 12 degrees with the door open, without air conditioning the premises. Anyway, a year ago we came and it was something else, a shame.

We were lucky enough to book a table for their New Year's Eve gala meal (2024). We were treated to a gourmet experience in a cosy restaurant with competent staff who clearly enjoy working there and like their colleagues. The food was excellent, as was the wine. The quantities were perfect. Having been informed about the need for gluten-free alternatives, the chef delighted us with options that were truly delicious and equally as exquisite. We couldn't recommend Los Toneles highly enough. It isn't the first time we have dined there, and it won't be the last.

Returning from Molino de Santa Olaja Isla is the closest town and we decided on this restaurant because in other reviews we had read that being gluten intolerant was not a problem in this place. The truth is that as soon as we told them about it, they immediately offered to make gluten-free bread for one of the diners and then when we asked for some rabas they made them with chickpea flour. The service was always top ten, the food was well presented, good quantity, well prepared and good raw materials, the suckling pig (in shoulder and chops) was very delicious, the sirloin very tender and tasty. The desserts are also very delicious. You will wonder then why I don't rate it with 5 stars. Because you have to take care of the details, it's a real shame that that sirloin and that suckling lamb had some French fries as a garnish, one of those totally bland pre-frozen ones. Wouldn't it be better to use some vegetables instead of the usual French fries? There was also a small error on the bill, but we didn't give it importance, they marked 4 for bread and there were only three of us.

Good Italian food! The food was very tasty, you can watch it cooking over the counter inside. The selection is also decent, the service is okay. There is gluten-free pasta as an alternative, but unfortunately not gluten-free pizza. Everything tasted very good, the panna cotta is to die for.
