I’m a Celiac and they had so many options for me it was AMAZING. I haven’t had Sushi and Tempura Shrimp and Calamari in YEARS
The staff are amazing so helpful and it was so much fun. Words cannot describe how wonderful this experience was
Creative vegan dishes wow diners, with standout crispy rice and watermelon sushi, though some Italian offerings fall short—definitely a unique experience!
With a focus on fresh ingredients and unique offerings like brown sushi rice, this spot delivers tasty Japanese dishes in a chill atmosphere.

Service and atmosphere are great but food is beyond mid and overpriced considering the lack of real flavour, definitely not the most enjoyable sushi, iki is miles better for gluten free folks. But this place was alright.
This spot is a must-visit for sushi lovers with tons of options and generous portions, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal any day.

I eat here often! The team are super knowledgeable about celiac disease and have a separate area of the kitchen for GF including a fryer for gyozas. There’s a separate GF menu that’s clearly marked - food comes in a separate bag and clearly labelled, GF soy sauce is available too!
Experience fresh, unique rolls in a romantic vibe, perfect for cozy evenings out or takeout with special options that wow.

Ordered probably half the menu by now. My favourite thing surprisingly is the tofu and I order it every time. I’m celiac and love how comprehensive the menu is. Most gf menus eliminate more than half the options. Actually forgot to order one dish (via skip) gluten free and they called to double check. I spent a lot but so good I always order a lot! 10 out of 10!
This spot is a local favorite with fresh, delicious dishes, a great atmosphere, and plenty of tasty options to try.

Always LOVE Sansho Sushi, and visit often. They are always busy with dine-in and take out orders, which tells you it’s a great spot. Never had to wait for a table though, and the staff are always friendly & attentive no matter the time or day. Excellent selection of boxes and special items. The highlight is the gluten free menu!! Super thankful for a sushi spot that offers so many gluten free options- including teriyaki!! I love their chicken teriyaki roll, V4 roll (vegetable) and spicy salmon roll. The miso soup is also Gf and delicious.
A cozy spot with a modern vibe where every dish dazzles your senses and the unique ambiance makes for a perfect dining experience.

I have dined in and had takeout many times and I have never been disappointed!! The service is always incredible and the food is always fresh and delicious. They even added gluten free Gyozas to the menu and they were so so so good!! 10/10 recommend.
Unique spot with awesome wall graffiti, offering great ramen and various options, but be ready for the occasional rowdy vibe.

Pros:
- Most of the menu can be made gluten free
- JFK is a really tasty
- We had a great server
- Cool wall graffiti, lots to look at
Cons:
- Ramen made me feel sick had the regular Tonkotsu
- Two employees or ex employees were super drunk yelling at the bar. The restaurant was empty so it was a little obnoxious
- The restaurant smells like spray paint
- The employees had all their stuff thrown onto a table, looked messy

If this is your first time visiting Vancouver, Miku would be my top recommendations on your itinerary list for places to eat. Now, this isn't your typical sushi restaurant, in fact, I would consider this to be fine dining and here's why.
When it comes to Japanese food, presentation is the most important next to customer service level, and they are bang on. I absolutely love how intricate their sushi layered to simplicity on a plate. Reminds me of a zen garden. The waiters/ waitress' are knowledgeable of their dishes being served and super friendly! Dishes are, at minimum $20, but the portions are decently sized. (Anything with Wagyu will always be expensive).
They do offer gluten -free and vegetarian dishes and non alcoholic drinks.
(I had their Shiso Nojito and it was the most refreshing non-alcoholic I've ever had. Not too sweet either).
Overall, I would highly recommend it for first time travellers to Vancouver. It's absolutely a beautiful place to dine in!
Tasty and unique dishes with creative presentations, plus beautiful boat-themed decor make this spot a must-visit for food enthusiasts!

It’s a staple for my friends and I.
My girlfriend and I read about it being recommended for celiac individuals.
I’ve been ordering 4 times now and it’s plain sod:stellar, it’s the best, fish is good, variety and safety.
It’s become our habit. If you want the best sushi, I call Tori Tora. My girlfriend and I had heard about it for people with celiac disease and it really is THE best option for variety, quality and gluten-free safety.

Absolutely love eating here, the vibe is amazing and the staff are top tier! The food and atmosphere are so unique and as a Gluten Free Vegan who doesn't drink, trust me when I say this is a haven.
I have been a few times so I have tried most of the food. Alot of the menu is already edible for me as is, but the majority of the menu can be accommodated to a vegan and/or gluten free diet which is amazing. The mocktails are equally fantastic.
Watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen is the best, and the Management team and Madison in Events are always the most generous and accommodating. If you are so lucky to have service from Joseph, you will leave a very happy and full man!

I’m celiac so there aren’t restaurants that I can go to and choose from a variety of menu items that are safe and delicious. Bambu has that variety and they take such care when preparing my meal.
It’s so refreshing to go to a restaurant and fully enjoy the experience!!!

Amazing food! Always freshly made. My daughter is celiac and when I let them know through a note left with my online order they called me back almost immediately to assure me that they take allergies very seriously. They took all precautions to prevent cross contamination and also had gluten free soy sauce.
Atmosphere rating doesn’t really count as its take out only.
Expect a flavor-packed experience with fresh seafood and unique rolls, making each visit feel like a delicious adventure.

Great place with vegan and gluten free options. Always friendly, a little bit pricey, but what isn't nowadays! The restaurant is small inside so there isn't always seating immediately available, and they are usually busy because they are so good!

Taylor and the rest of the wait-staff were efficient, prompt, and delightful. Taylor was easily able to guide us through the menu to ensure that the one (of six) guests was not excluded because of her gluten sensitivity. The meal was beautifully presented, clearly very fresh, and delicious. Thanks for making it such a lovely evening for us!

Loved our experience at Minami - we had a bunch of dietary restrictions and were celebrating our wedding which they thoughtfully provided us with a surprise dairy free/ gluten free dessert 🙏🏼 service was excellent, we loved the aburis, brussel sprouts (try it!) and how fresh the sashimi was!

I went to Hula for the first time today. I have celiac disease and I don’t tolerate dairy well.
They had a lot of choices for me, and the lady that helped me was very patient and kind. She took the time to annswer all my questions and made some great suggestions.
It can be hard to try something new when allergies are involved. I am so glad I tried!!! It was fantastic!!♥️

I’ve always loved coming here. Today was probably my 6th-8th visit, and I can say with confidence that Hello Nori is very consistent. The yellowtail hand roll with Shiso leaf added is my favourite. The by the glass sake options are great and they all pair well with the rolls. Lisa was my server today and she was excellent. She checked in lots and made sure that the chef was aware of my gluten intolerance. Gold star for Hello Nori, I will be back!

This review isn’t based on the actual restaurant, food or service. I called the day of for a reservation, the lady on the phone was polite but they had reduced the amount of tables as they were short staffed, and the time we wanted already had a reservation but they have tables open for walk ins. Okay that’s fine, my group of 4 walked over around 8pm (open till 9) and when we got there the lady asked us if we would like a table or take out, and then when we said table the tone changed and we were no longer able to have one as they are short staffed but not taking walk ins. I asked why earlier I was told to try for a walk in, and she simply just repeated herself and stared at me. There was absolutely 0 people in the establishment, and I could see 4 front of house employees and 3 in the kitchen .. Ultimately I get the food industry being short staffed but it felt like a blatant lie. Was looking forward to eating here as I absolutely love sushi and this place had great reviews, especially for gluten free alternatives.

Normally like dining here but had a negative experience tonight. My partner was gluten poisoned despite being very clear with the server — she was given standard tempura and told they were gluten free. The manager did however offer to comp her bill. That was nice.
The nori on my hand rolls was soft and stale, but they're supposed to be crunchy. Didn't have more than one bite and the server said they're always like that... but they're not. To top it off, we waited 20 minutes for our bill and all the "comp'd" items were still on there so we had to request another bill. Then our server ghosted us when it came to take payment and we had to find a server from another section.
The tempura was great, but overall the value for food is not great, and this experience kind of ruined the previous positive ones I've had.

So they were pretty busy when we came here for dinner a week ago. We didn't wait more than 15 minutes to get a table despite them being so busy. They have a gluten free menu so celiacs can feel safe eating here and not worry about potential language barriers or issues in explaining the whole celiac thing.
Sushi, sashimi, salads, and more. Everything is got was yummy 😋. They did mess up my drink order, but once told they immediately fixed it. 🙂
Atmosphere is pleasant but unfortunately we were close to the door so it was noisy.

Excellent restaurant! The only downside is the wait time (about 1 hour) as it is walk-in only and you cannot call to place your name on the waitlist over the phone. Nonetheless, great food and servers. We really appreciated how knowledgeable about they are about gluten allergies. We strongly recommend getting the fresh wasabi (3 dollars extra).
Fresh and flavorful offerings with attentive service make this spot a must-visit for a relaxed experience and delightful menu options.

For what it is—mall food—Globefish is fantastic. I‘ve been so many times and they are mindful and considerate of my allergies! They accommodate gluten sensitivity as well as vegetarians. The stampede roll is an absolute staple and 100% swap the imitation crab for the real deal. Also: looney for a tea!!!
With an extra treat and great value for money, this spot is a favorite for a delightful meal experience.
