I always try to make my way here to get some gluten free pancakes when I'm in Melbourne. Today I was looked after by Deb, who although was busy working hard, she was friendly and efficient. I'm grateful for getting my food and drink in good time and that the toilets were very clean!!!!

The first place I have seen that sells gluten-free souffle pancake. Very interesting. Welcoming staffs. Clean premise. The place did not seem to be air-conditioned. However, they have sufficient fans around the place, which was thoughtful. Ordered tiramisu souffle pancake. The pancake was very jiggly and wasn't too sweet. It was nice.

No longer 100% gluten free, and can’t even cater for it adequately despite saying they can on their menu - didn’t notify us until 30 mins before our booking despite us specifying “gluten free” in our booking 5 days in advance, and couldn’t offer substitutions for their set menu (their menu now says only a couple of things aren’t gluten free, but we were told anything on the grill is no longer gluten free, so the menu is incorrect as well). To make matters worse, they take the full amount from your card for the set menu at the time of booking upfront, and then you have to wait days to get your money back if you’re not going. This place was an institution for coeliacs - if that’s why you were going, don’t bother.

Lovely food. The jeera aloo (triple cooked potatoes in a delicious mystery sauce) were sensational. Gluten free & vegan. The staff are great. Friendly and funny. The music was 80s sing along bangers, but played quietly so we could have an easy conversation. Perfect.

I treated my sister who is gluten free to the Summer Sips high tea. We were very impressed with the attentive service that we experienced. The staff had excellent attention to detail, they made sure we had a wonderful afternoon. The cocktails were well balanced with the food selection. The biggest highlight was the GF selection, the savory pastry was delicious!

This cafe is a hidden gem! With an impressive selection of Gluten Free (GF) and Vegan Options (VGO), it caters to a wide range of dietary needs. The charming setting offers both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for any occasion. The Padre coffee is exceptional, and the breakfast and lunch menu is solid, featuring a delightful array of bagels, including GF options. The American-style menu is a treat, and we were thrilled with the delicious brisket and asparagus. Plus, the staff was accommodating, allowing us to customise our sides to perfection. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended as this restaurant is in a beautiful area, staff are friendly and efficient, food is delicious and atmosphere is chilled. We had the Sweet Potato poached eggs on gluten-free toast with avacado and red chillie scrambled eggs with coffee's. It was delicious, and coffee was amazing. We were lucky with our timing and got a table straight away. However, within 5 mins, there were huge queues for the restaurant. So it's advisable to book if you can. I would still strongly advise: it's worth the wait as we had a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to the staff and restaurant.

My colleagues and I are obsessed with this place. The $25 lunch menu is sure to have everyone fed and happy. I'm coeliac and the options available are so delicious and I've never reacted to cross contamination. The staff are so friendly and always good to have a laugh with! I'm looking forward to heading here for a night out in the future!

Not celiac friendly. Their menu shows so many gluten free options which is why we choose to try it out but when I went to order I was informed only 2 dishes could be done properly gluten free (no pastas). Misleading. Further the dish I did get was one of the plainest tasting sauces I’ve ever had and cost way too much for plain tomato sauce with 2 basil leaves as the seasoning.

Can only comment on delivered catering however the communication from the restaurant re providing gluten free options as requested was really appreciated. Our staff enjoyed a delicious choice of salmon and karaage chicken salads. Generous servings for our group and all plates/cutlery/chopsticks provided too. Will be visiting in person soon to enjoy again.

Dinner for 2 on a Tuesday night which was packed with people, luckily we made a booking. We got the signature set for $190 per person, which I felt was plenty of food. Everything we had was delicious and cooked to perfection, especially the citrus butter scallops, glazed fish collar, wagyu shish and slow roasted lamb shoulder. They tried to accomodate my gluten intolerance by swapping for gf bread, gf breadcrumbs and gf chocolate mousse which was great! Atmosphere was classy and dark however was noisy due to being cramped with people. Service was amazing with waiters explaining each dish however again it was too noisy to hear them. It is on the pricier side, we spent almost $500 including drinks for 2 of us, so not a place I’d come to often. But it was nice for a birthday celebration.

Excellent spot especially for food allergies. Wife and I had an great 3 course meal that cater for low fodmap and celiac diets. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about our requirements and there recommendations of baked brie and the risotto were spot on! The low fodmap wagyu burger was one of the best I have eaten. This meal was the highlight of our stay in the city. Will definitely be back and will bring more people :-)

I am so glad I found this joint! A cool space with a good atmosphere and excellent customer service. If you’ve seen any of my food posts you’ll know I’m that person with a ridiculous food intolerance that is usually not considered. Here it was! They have a separate emu that lists the items open for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, fructose free, onion free and garlic and onion free! What? So good! My bloke and I shared a few dishes when eating out for the first time in… for ever! Delicious cabbage and pork dumplings, legit fried rice, crispy pork belly and eye fillet steak - we had sauces on the side for him to enjoy and me to avoid and both thoroughly enjoyed a top notch, tasty meal along with a couple of crisp and light rice lagers. I bought some of the yummy smelling teas to go. A first class experience. Thanks!

We had ad a fantastic experience! The staff was cheerful and friendly, and the service was excellent. We especially loved the solomillo and carne criolla - generous portions and flavors that felt like home. The gluten-free empanadas and yucca were delicious as well. While the Tres Leches wasn’t to my taste, everything else was outstanding!

We had a delightful evening at Aru. The food was all delicious; the duck and fish collar were standout dishes. One of our group is a coeliac and most of the menu was suitable and adapted when needed in a seamless and fuss free fashion. All in all a special dining experience.

Beautiful food, great vibes, friendly staff. Reasonably pricing for size & quality of meals. This was mid November, so Christmas decorations around the fed square area. My gluten free pals were very happy with their meals. Lots of seagulls around pecking at people's food scraps when they left.... Whilst amusing for us, glad it wasn't to our own food.

Super busy so expect to wait if you haven't booked ahead. Expect very casual dining. Self service via a QR code and a robot delivering your order. The food is fabulous. Fresh, tasty and good portion sizes. A great selection for all dietary needs including Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan menus. Overall great value for money. Gluten free review. Kisume has been a gem for me as a Coeliac, I came here with a friend 4 years ago and I left a changed woman. You mean I can have fine dining again? It’s gluten free? And I won’t get sick? Tick tick tick ☑️ They take a LOT of care with their allergies, staff mark the menu and triple check for you, they also provide a card to let everyone who may serve you know that you have an allergy. Sushi here is insane, I have had a lot of fresh sashimi in my life but this is the best. Chakaiseki Akiyoshi can’t even compare to what’s going on here. Highly highly recommend as even the pickiest eater WILL change their mind. There is something incredibly sexy about a super thin cocktail glass or a thin stemmed wine glass that just does it for me in a restaurant. The presentation here is definitely part of the experience, and it’s done verryyyy well. The lighting, the glassware, the black tables and moody atmosphere, chefs cooking in-front of you, its peak. We actually came here after we got engaged, that’s how much my fiancé knew I valued these oysters lol. 10/10 GF experience

Came here for dinner tonight with my mum and a couple of friends, we didn’t have a booking but Katie got us seated at the bar and got us a table ready. Mum and I are gluten free so Katie took the time to run through everything we could eat and then her and the team made the whole dining room experience so enjoyable. The food was good, the vibe was great but the staff was better. We’ll be back xx
